You Arff the Best Card

Hello! It's been a lazy Sunday at my house. So, I decided to make this You Arff the Best Card for a sweet lady I know. The dog image is from the Puppy Friends stamp set by Newton's Nook. After the images were colored using Copic markers they were die cut with the coordinating dies. A couple of pieces of patterned paper from the Day in the Life paper pad by Echo Park were selected. The focal panel was made using a deckle rectangle die, then sponging on distress inks in Tumbled Glass and Peeled Paint. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. So glad you stopped by!

Thinking of You Card

Good day! The month of May is almost over and I'm dreading the return of hot weather. I'll be a hermit in my house for the months of June-August. Many people enjoy the hot weather, but I'm not one of them. Every summer I'm thankful for central air conditioning! I truly need to move to a cooler climate. 😊

Since the Emerald is the birthstone for May, I wanted to make a card using green to close out the month. The layout is from this weeks sketch at Tuesday Morning sketches. I picked a patterned paper from the Jack and Jill paper pad by Echo Park (2015). A small floral stamp by Altenew called Wonder Clusters was stamped and colored with Copic markers. The coordinating die was used to cut it out. A Thinking of You sentiment by Taylored Expressions was stamped and die cut with a stitched circle die. The final addition was the little yellow butterfly that was in my stash and everything was adhered flat. That's it and thanks for stopping by. Handmade Card for Mom

Hello! It's a rainy day here in Oklahoma. I ran a few errands this morning and then decided to play in my craft room. After digging through my stamp sets, I decided to use the Always stamp set by Pink & Main to create this Handmade Card for Mom. My mom likes the color blue, so I found a pretty floral paper in the New Day paper pad by Echo Park (2022) that reminded me of her. It coordinates nicely with the stamp set. I used Copic markers to color the image and then added a sentiment using the Best Mom Oval stamp set by Newton's Nook. The coordinating dies were used to cut out the image and then everything was adhered flat. That's it, so glad you stopped by!

Christmas Thank You Card

Hello and Happy New Year! We have turned the chapter to the beginning of 2023, the pages are unwritten and waiting to be filled. I hope this year writes something wonderful!

I like to start the new year by making a Christmas Thank You Card. This year a dear friend surprised me with flowers, cupcakes and deli treats right before Christmas. So, I made this card for her. The tree was made using a very retired stamp by Stampin' Up!, it's from the Scentsational Season stamp set. The colors include: Shaded Spruce, Poppy Parade and Merry Merlot. A little star sequin was added to the top of the tree and the nesting circle die cuts are from Unity Stamps. The Thank You sentiment is from the Abstract Impressions stamp set by Stampin' Up! and everything was adhered flat. That's it! So glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day.🎄

Autumn/Halloween at Craft Rocket

Good day! I'm happy to be a guest designer at the Craft Rocket Challenge for October and November. This month the challenge is Autumn/Halloween creations. For my card I've used the Hey There Pumpkin stamp set by Unity Stamps. This image is super easy to color and features a black cat, which I love. Some fun Halloween papers from the Echo Park were used and a sentiment from a retired Stampin' Up! set called Spooky Sweets. Everything was adhered flat and that's it! Pumpkin Gnome Card

Good day! Pumpkin season is here and I couldn't resist making a card with the Hello Pumpkin Gnome stamp set by Unity Stamps. Copic markers were used to color the image. The colors used were selected to coordinate with the patterned paper from the Happy Fall paper pad by Echo Park (2020). A little brown gingham is peeking out from behind the image and layered onto a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock by Stampin' Up!. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. Fall Blessings Card

Hello! Each day we get closer to the arrival of Fall and that makes me happy. I keep waiting for the weather forecast to show a good cold front, but that hasn't happened. So, I'll keep waiting!🍁

This Fall Blessings Card uses a new stamp set I bought from Taylored Expressions called Autumn Blessings. The sentiment was already stamped and had been hanging out on my craft desk since last year, so I used it. It's by Impressions Obsession. Ewe Christmas Card

Good day and thanks for stopping by my blog. My parents raised sheep for nearly 30 years. So, when I find cute sheep stamps I tend to add them to my stash. Today I'm sharing this Ewe Christmas Card featuring the Fleece Navidad stamp set from Whimsy Stamps. It's designed by Crissy Armstrong, she creates the cutest stamps. This stamp has been in my stash for many years, but this was the first time I inked it up. Copic markers were used to color the image and then it was adhered to a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock by Stampin' Up!. It was free with purchase sometime last year and this is the first time I've inked it up. It was paired with Christmas papers from the Christmas Magic paper pad by Echo Park (2021). Birthday Card with Dogs

Hello! This afternoon I made this Birthday Card with Dogs to remember my sister's birthday. She would have turned 45 today, but she passed away ten years ago. Making cards has helped me process my grief for the loss of both my siblings and several furry family members. It's been a wonderful form of therapy for me. 

This Birthday Card with Dogs uses a stamp set by Newton's Nook that was the 2019 Stamptember exclusive at Simon Says Stamp. The images were stamped with Memento black ink and colored with Copic markers to coordinate with the patterned paper from the Birthday Wishes paper pad by Echo Park (2015). The month of May is my birthday month and I have several family members and friends with birthdays this month too. So, I decided to make a couple of  birthday cards for my stash. The first card features the Icing Fluffles stamp by Stampendous!. Since the image is on the larger side, I just pulled the sketch elements down. Copic markers were used to color the image and I paper pieced the cupcake liner. Patterned papers are from the Happy Birthday Girl paper pad by Echo Park (2017) and the yellow polka dots were made with Bo Bunny paper scraps. The second card sticks more to the scale of the challenge sketch and features a candle image by Hampton Art. This Bunny Birthday Card features an image by Reverse Confetti from the Party Pals stamp set. The image was colored with Copic markers and die cut with the coordinating die. Some fun patterned papers from the Echo Park Happy Birthday paper pad was used along with a tiny chevron paper from my scrap bin. Tall Heart Card - TMS #589

Hello! It's time to revisit another sketch from 2020 at Tuesday Morning Sketches and this week Debi picked one I designed. It was originally posted on March 10, 2020 challenge #545 and you can see that post HERE. The sketch is a tall and skinny design with simple elements, no fancy supplies needed. Feel free to make whatever size of tall and skinny card you prefer. Several years ago when I started making this size card I made them to fit into a #10 envelope, the finished size of this Tall Heart Card is 4" x 8 1/2". This was way before slimline border dies were a thing. It's a nice size to break up the routine and do something different. Hedgie Birthday Card

Hooray for Friday! 😊 Although my hubby had his hair cut on Tuesday and Thursday he got a text from the lady who cut his hair, she tested positive for Covid. They were both wearing masks, but he is now on quarantine at home. We are praying he doesn't get it!

I made another birthday card to play along with the 11th Birthday Bash at Catch The Bug. This Hedgie Birthday Card is for day 4 which is a bingo challenge. I used the middle row across: die cut, Bugaboo image, 3 layers. The papers might look familiar... I used the boy colors on the card posted on Monday. I arranged the papers the same but changed the image shape and sentiment placement. I think it turned out pretty cute! This card is also entered into the Anything Goes challenge at Aud Sentiments. Mouse Birthday Card

Good day crafty friends! I'm going to let you in on a little secret... I think mice are adorable. There are no shrieks or screams when I see one and as long as they stay outside we live in peaceful harmony. 😊

This Mouse Birthday Card was made to play along at the Day One Catch The Bug 11th Birthday Bash. The theme this year is Woodland Friends, so I used the Mouse Big Balloon digi by Bugaboo. Copic markers were used to color the image and then I used a stitched rectangle die to cut it out. All patterened papers are from the Happy Birthday paper pad by Echo Park (2017). Thanksgiving Card with Critters

Good day! Next week we celebrate Thanksgiving here in the United States and I'm still busy making cards to send to family. My crafting speed definitely doesn't keep up with the calendar and I'm also easily distracted. So, I'm a little behind schedule.😊 This Thanksgiving Card with Critters features the Giving Thanks stamp set by Pretty Pink Posh. The critters were colored with Copic markers and then die cut with the coordinating dies. Colors were selected from the leaf paper by Echo Park (Happy Fall paper pad). Happy Coffee Card

Hello crafty friends and fellow coffee/tea lovers! I have a quick post to share this Happy Coffee Card I made for the 2020 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. This card features a stamp from the Choose Happy stamp set by Simon Says Stamp along with patterned papers from the Coffee paper pad by Echo Park with a gingham frame cut from a scrap of Doodlebug Designs Inc paper. The frame was cut with an Avery Elle Reversed Pinked Die. A little yellow was added for a pop of color and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful day!

When it comes to drinking coffee I love a good cold brew or an iced vanilla coffee. In winter if it's really cold outside I'll drink hot coffee and I like it dark with cream and sugar. ☕☕☕

Corny Candy Halloween Card

Hello! Halloween gets closer with every passing day and I still have several cards to make. I usually mail about a dozen to family and friends. My cards this year will be simple and easy like this Corny Candy Halloween Card. It features a fun Frankenstein candy corn image from the new Corny Candy stamp set by Stampendous!. EGG-cellent Easter Card

Happy Easter! Today I'm sharing the card I made for my four year old nephew. He currently loves dinosaurs, so I found this cute dinosaur image on Etsy by Mystitchbackintwine. Copic markers were used to color the image and then it was fussy-cut. The EGG-cellent Easter sentiment was made with the computer and the patterned papers are from the Dino Friends paper pad by Echo Park (2016).
