One Day at a Time Card

Happy Friday! I'm pretty good about making and sending sympathy cards, but I also like to send a card after a month has passed. I think it's important to continue to support and encourage those who recently lost a loved one. For this card I have used a digital image from Jessica Lynn Originals called Singing in the Rain and colored it with Copic markers. The umbrella was paper pieced with a small polka dot patterned paper by DCWV. Both background papers are from the Springtime paper pad by MME. The One Day at a Time sentiment is by Verve Stamps and was stamped using Memento black ink. For the finishing touches I added three patterned banners and three coordinating sequins. That's it! Thanks for stopping by!!!

Pretty Patterned Paper Card

Hooray for Friday!!! This afternoon my chore was washing laundry and the best part about this chore is the appliances do all the work. Once the bed sheets were in the washer I had a good hour to play in my craft room. I decided to make this Pretty Patterned Paper Card to play along with the SU-Only Challenge to use patterned paper. If you follow my blog then you may already know how much I love the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack. There isn't a bad pattern in the stack! I ended up using all scrap pieces on this card from my previous creations. Then I decided to use an encouragement sentiment from the Perfect Pennants stamp set and highlight it with a butterfly. To create the butterfly I sponged Calypso Coral ink onto Whisper White cardstock and then using one of the larger stamps from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set with Pacific Point ink. The butterfly was the punched using the Elegant Butterfly punch and three small basic pearls were added. I hope you like the mix of these patterned papers. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Miss You Card

Hello! A quick late night post to share my latest card. I combined two challenges to create this Miss You Card. The Paper Players sketch challenge and a color challenge from Just Us Girls. The photo inspiration provided at Just Us Girls made it easy to choose the flower as my side element for the sketch at The Paper Players. To add the circle detail from the sketch, I did some paper piercing. All cardstock and patterned papers are by Stampin' Up! The blue paper is from the retired Print Poetry paper stack and the tan is from the Color Me Autumn dsp. Using the Simple Stems stamp set, I stamped the flower using Blushing Bride ink and used the coordinating framelit to cut out the shape. For the leaves I used the retired Sizzix leaf die with some light gray cardstock. The TPC Studios Miss You sentiment was stamped using Midnight Muse ink. That's it! I hope you're staying warm wherever you are and thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful Bloom Miss You Card

This morning a few of the local Stampin' Up! demonstrators got together for some stamping fun! For my project I made this Beautiful Bloom Miss You Card. I used the sketch from Create with Connie & Mary. All supplies are by Stampin' Up! and include: Whisper White and Lost Lagoon cardstock, All Abloom paper stack, Beautiful Bunch stamp set, Lacy & Lovely stamp set (sentiment), Daffodil Delight and Mossy Meadow stampin' pads, white emboss powder, heat tool, Fun Flower punch, paper piercing tools and stampin' dimensionals.

The main thing I wanted to try today was paper piercing. It's really sad that I've had the tools for months and this was the first time I've used them on a card. Every time I see it on other card creations I really like it but I always forget to incorporate it into one of my designs. So I'm happy I finally tried something new! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!
