Meow-entine Card

Good day! The month of January is almost over and Valentine's Day will be here soon. I mail a few handmade cards for this day of Love. Mainly to immediate family and a few family friends. This Meow-entine Card was made for one of my nieces. A few challenges were considered when creating this card. I knew I wanted to use the new Newton's Valentine stamp and coordinating dies. The image was colored with Copic markers and some Stickles added to the hearts for sparkle. Some fun patterned papers were mixed for the background and the sentiment was heat embossed onto black cardstock. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. So glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Smiling Flowers Card - TMS #539

Hello! This week at Tuesday Morning Sketches we are revisiting Lisa's favorite sketch from 2019 and she selected sketch #507. You can see the original post from last June HERE. For my card I decided to use the same stamp set that I used back in June, On The Mend by Lawn Fawn, but this time I used the Smiling Flowers stamp instead of the turtle. The floral patterned paper is from the Down on the Farm paper pad by Doodlebug Design. To top it off I used a Sending Smiles top edge die by Impression Obsession from the Everyday Top Edgers set. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. We would love for you to join us this week! For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. Don't forget to link your creation by 8 pm EST on Sunday. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Cat and Dog Hugs Card

Oh my... it seems when it rains it pours, especially lately. Several of my friends have lost family members lately and I'm still struggling with my own grief. So, I decided to sit down and make something cute and heartfelt with a couple stamps I had never used. The Cat and Dog image is from Whimsy stamps and it's called Lend Me Your Ear (mine is a rubber cling stamp but it looks like it's only available as a digital stamp now) and I paired it with a Hugs sentiment stamp by Unity Stamps from the Bunny- Keep You Forever sentiment kit. After stamping the image with Memento black ink, Copic markers were used for coloring and then it was fussy-cut. The plaid paper is from Perfectly Plaid Christmas paper pad by Lawn Fawn (2016). Three punched hearts were added and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Heart Bear Card - TMS #538

Tuesday has arrived again! This week at Tuesday Morning Sketches we are playing along with Kitty's favorite sketch from 2019. It was from challenge #515 and you can see the original post HERE. This sketch was one of my favorites too, I love the angled panel behind the image. Since my crafty mojo is in short supply these days, I decided to make another Valentine card. This Heart Bear Card features a Bugaboo digital stamp called I Heart You Bear and it was colored with Copic markers. The background paper has been in my stash for many years and it's from the XO Collection by KAISERCRAFT. We do hope you will join the challenge this week. Sheep Birthday Wishes Card

Howdy! The final day for the 10th Birthday Bash for Bugaboo Stamps is a photo inspiration challenge. This Sheep Birthday Wishes Card is what I made using the colors from the photo and the Friday Freebie image (get it while you can). My parents raise sheep... well my dad does all the work. Next month there will be ten ewes having babies on the farm. They are so cute when they are babies. So, of course I had to play along with this challenge. I'll be saving this card for my dad's birthday.

Here are a few crafty details, all patterned paper is from the Down on the Farm paper pad by Doodlebug Design (2018), the Birthday Wishes die cut is from the Birthday Top Edgers set by Impression Obsession and the image was colored with a mix of Copic and Stampin' Blends markers. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Celebrate Pig Birthday Card

Hello! It's been awhile since I've sat down to make a card just for fun. There has been a lot going on in my life lately. My hubby had total knee replacement surgery in mid December and while I was taking care of him I got sick. Then, you guessed it, he got sick. It has been a rough and bumpy road but we are slowly getting back to something that resembles "normal".  I really wanted to make a card for the Bugaboo 10th Birthday Bash, so I made this Celebrate Pig Birthday Card to play along with Day 4. It's a bingo challenge and I used the middle row across: twine, Bugaboo image and die cut/punches. The Pig - Birthday Presents image was colored with a mix of Copic and Stampin' Blends markers and the papers are from the It's a Celebration paper pad by Carta Bella (2014). A celebrate die cut was added for a sentiment and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Don't Give Up! Card - TMS #536

Hello! For the next few weeks at Tuesday Morning Sketches we will be revisiting our favorite sketches from 2019. This week is my pick and my favorite sketch was from challenge #508 and it was designed by Debbie Foster. To view the original challenge post click HERE. We would love for you to join us this week! For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. Don't forget to link your creation to the challenge post by Sunday at 8 pm EST.

The stamp set used on this Don't Give Up! Card is called Newton Hangs Out by Newton's Nook. My intent when purchasing this stamp set was to make a card for my brother and he passed away before I got the chance. The stamp set actually arrived in the mail the day he passed away. I left the package unopened for almost a month because it made me sad to think about it. Then I decided to use it and just craft through the tears. It took me hours to make this card, I had to walk away several times but I finally finished. It will be a card I keep and a reminder to myself to never give up or the sentiment I would have used for him "hang in there," which is all I'm doing these days. Thanks for stopping by!
