Happy New Year 2016 Card

My intentions were to post a New Year's Card on New Year's Day... well that didn't happen. It seems when my hubby is on vacation I don't get anything done as planned. So, better late than never, here is my Happy New Year 2016 Card.

The layout is from this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch and I've used a digital image from Doodle Pantry. I absolutely love all the birdies by Doodle Pantry! The diamond patterned paper comes with the image and the green and orange papers are from the Happy Day paper pad by Pebbles. To add some sparkle I added five purple rhinestones by Recollections. If you look closely you can tell that I fussy-cut the birds hat and popped it up on dimensionals. The sentiment stamp is by Print Works and was stamped using Memento black ink. That pretty much sums it up.

Handmade New Year's Card

Hello! I hope you're having a wonderful weekend! My crafting buddy was sunning himself in my craft room, so I couldn't resist hanging out with him and making a card. This Handmade New Year's Card was inspired by the photo challenge at Just Us Girls. I kept the design casual to play along with CAS-ual Fridays Happy New Year challenge.  I went with a monochrome brown color scheme. You can't really tell from the picture but the light tan is a glitter card stock by DCWV, which adds some sparkle. The clock patterned paper is by Karen Foster and the text print paper is from Stampin' Up!. The New Year sentiment is from a clear mini stamp set by KaiserCraft (CS926). Stampin' Up! New Year Card

The first day of 2013 was a super lazy day for me. I didn't even leave my house. I watched Grumpy Old Men and did a little laundry. I cooked a pot of beans and made this Stampin' Up! New Year Card. Happy New Year Card

 

The count down is on! We are in the last hour of 2012 here in Oklahoma. My hubby and I went for an early dinner and movie. Now we're just waiting for the ball to drop. I couldn't let the day go by without posting one last card for 2012. So, here it is a Happy New Year Card. I used a digital stamp by Bugaboo Stamps and a sketch from the Catch The Bug Challenge blog.
