Rainbow Colored Birthday Card

Good day crafty friends! This morning I was up much earlier than usual, so I seized the extra time to make this Rainbow Colored Birthday Card. The colors were inspired by the Inky Paws challenge and you can never have too many birthday cards. Copic markers were used to color the Newton's Birthday Trio image and then it was die cut with the coordinating die both by Newton's Nook. Sitting on my craft desk was the little yellow bird/chick leftover from making Easter Cards, so I added it next to the birthday word bubble. The candle and striped paper are by Doodlebug Designs from the So Much Pun paper pad and the orange polka dot paper is by Bo Bunny. Three green sequins finish it off and that's it. Thanks for stopping by!

Bright Birthday Bird Card

It's been pretty cold the last couple of days, so I was happy to see a challenge for something bright. I like making cheerful cards and I think the image and colors on this Bright Birthday Bird Card will be perfect for my youngest niece. Her birthday is in April, so nice spring colors are perfect. I also want to wish a happy 8th birthday to Bugaboo Digi Stamps! My very first digital image came from Bugaboo and they continue to be one of my favorites. Wishing them many more years of creative success.

This Bright Birthday Bird Card design started with the selection of the bird image by Bugaboo Digi Stamps. Copic markers were used to color the image. The fun striped paper is by Doodlebug Designs and it was matted to a piece of black and white chevron. A black die cut frame was used along with a die cut happy birthday sentiment. To add a little sparkle, three sequins were added and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Balloon Monkey Birthday Card

Good evening! My hubby worked late tonight and I found a couple of challenges that I couldn't pass up, so I spent a little extra time in my craft room. I made this Balloon Monkey Birthday Card using the Seize the Birthday sketch and their sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps. The digital image I used is called Critter Balloons - Monkey by Bugaboo and I colored it with my Copic markers. I added some white puffy paint to the cloud for some dimension and sponged a light blue around the image. There were five challenges combined to create this Balloon Monkey Birthday Card:
The bingo challenge at Catch the Bug is always fun! I colored the balloon green for the starts with G, did a little sewing, and used a Bugaboo image. The patterned paper is from the Confetti collection by K & Company and the orange brads are from The Paper Studio. I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment using the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set by Stampin' Up! Making cards for kids always puts a smile on my face, especially when it has a monkey party animal on it! Thanks for stopping by and I hope my card made you smile too.

Birthday Card for Dad

Good evening! I hope you had a fantastic Saturday!!! We had a nice leisurely day, did a little shopping and stopped at On The Border for dinner. It's nice when you don't have anything that you "have" to do. Tonight I decided to make a Birthday Card for Dad. His birthday is in a couple of weeks and I found the perfect sketch at Seize the Birthday to make him a card. Now, you should know that my family raises sheep and when I found this Tractor Sheep digital image by Doodle Pantry I knew it would be perfect. The image came with a pre-coloured version and it matched the papers I wanted to use, so this card went together pretty quickly. I made this card a little larger to fit the oval shape horizontally like the sketch shows. The finished size is 5" x 6.5".

My card is entered into the following challenges:
Birthday Card for Dad Supplies:
  • Paper: Very Vanilla, Whisper White and Pool Party card stock by Stampin' Up!, Kraft card stock and Hay patterned paper by The Paper Studio, and Grandpa's Tool Shed patterned paper by Echo Park.
  • Stamps: Tractor Sheep digital image by Doodle Pantry and Happy Birthday sentiment by Hero Arts.
  • Inks: StazOn Jet Black
  • Other Stuff: Big Shot, Square Lattice embossing folder, scallop circle punch, circle punch, YEE-HAW brad by The Paper Studio, Cricut machine (stars), and stampin' dimensionals.
