Trick or Treat Card -TMS #518

Happy Tuesday! August is almost over and each day we get closer to Fall which also means Halloween is near. Using this weeks sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches I made this Trick or Treat Card. I send out several cards for Halloween to family and friends, so it's always a good idea to start early. Over the last couple of weeks I've seen several Halloween cards entered into our challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches and that helped inspire me to get a head start. We would love for you to play along with the sketch challenge and join us this week. Click HERE for all the details and design team inspiration. You have until 8 pm EST on Sunday to link your creation. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Butterfly Little Moments Card

Happy Friday! This Butterfly Little Moments Card is probably my last entry into the Inky Paws 100th challenge. I used a former sketch from challenge #46. You can find my original card for this challenge HERE. The mouse and butterfly image is from the Garden Mice stamp set are by Newton's Nook and it was colored with Copic markers. Some pretty butterfly paper from the Sunshine & Good Times/Amy Tangerine paper pad by American Crafts (2017) is one of my favorites and I admit to hoarding it. It was paired with Purple Posey gingham paper which is a new color by Stampin' Up!. A little green twine from The Twinery was added and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and wishing you a wonderful and crafty weekend!

Challenges entered: Creative Fingers (Anything Goes), Inky Paws (100th Challenge) and QKR Stampede (Anything Goes).

Dog House Note Card

Hello! I have a quick post to share my latest card that I made for the anything goes challenge at Catch The Bug. It may have taken me three days to make this Dog House Note Card, but at least I finally finished it. The image is called Dog House by Bugaboo Stamps and it was colored with Copic markers. A mix of patterned papers were used, the floral is from the Patio Party paper pad by American Crafts (2017) and the green gingham is by Recollections. The sentiment and flower were selected from my bin of extras and I punched some green leaves to accent the flower. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Tiny Miracles Card - TMS #490

Happy Tuesday! Are you ready to play along with another Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge? This week we are featuring Lori's favorite sketch from 2018 and she selected sketch #442 from last February. Click HERE to see the original post. You have until Sunday at 8 pm EST to link your creation. Click HERE for all the design team inspiration and challenge details. I hope to see your card in the gallery!

This Tiny Miracles Card features a butterfly and sentiment by Unity Stamps called New Fluttering Miracles. The stamp set was sitting out on my craft desk and I thought the size of the butterfly worked well with the focal area in the sketch. Copic markers were used to color the image and it was die cut with an Alterations square die by Tim Holtz. The floral patterned paper has gold foil leaves and nice pretty colors. It's from the Amy Tangerine Sunshine & Good Times 6x6 paper pad by American Crafts (2017). Highland Heather cardstock by Stampin' Up! was used to mat the floral paper and die cut scallop detail. The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of scrap blue paper and a small gold twine bow added to finish off the card. That's it! I'm hoping you have time to play along with this weeks sketch. Thanks for stopping by!

Challenges entered: Animal Friends (Butterflies), A Place To Start (Inspirational Die or Stamp) and Stamping Sensations (All Things Bright and BEAUtiful).

Snowflake Winter Birds Card

Oh my! I stayed up way too late last night trying to get some things accomplished. One item finished was making a card for the current Inky Paws challenge to use Silver and/or Gold. This Snowflake Winter Birds Card features the Winter Birds stamp set by Newton's Nook and the coordinating dies were used along with a Big Shot. Copic markers were used to color the little Chickadee and Red-Breasted Nuthatch. The gold foil patterned paper is from American Crafts (2016) and was matted to a piece of Basic Gray cardstock. The focal oval was created using distress inks and splattered with watered down acrylic paint, once dry it was die cut with a pierced oval by Avery Elle and the sentiment was heat embossed. That's it! So glad you stopped by!

Fall Card with Squirrel

Happy Tuesday! In a few more days Fall arrives and I'm definitely looking forward to cooler weather. There are so many things about Fall that I love, the crisp air, smells of pumpkin bread baking in the kitchen and the crunch of leaves beneath my feet. In my craft room I love using rich Fall colors! So today I made this Fall Card with Squirrel featuring the Autumn Squirrel image by Bugaboo Stamps. The look on the face of the squirrel is just so cute! To color the image Copic markers were used and it was a bit tricky with this being a digital stamp. There are several places where the black outline smeared, but I'm calling it shading. The background paper is from the Autumn Crisp paper pad by American Crafts (2013). A little twine was added for detail  along with three sequins for sparkle. The sentiment is from the Harvest Tails stamp set by Newton's Nook and it was matted to a scalloped circle. That's it! So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Kitty Coffee Card

Good day! Are you playing along with the Coffee Lovers Spring/Summer Blog Hop? If it weren't for a couple of my crafty friends posting their creations I would have completely forgot. It's going on until Friday, June 1st, so there is still plenty of time to join the fun. This Kitty Coffee Card features a stamp by Whipper Snapper Designs called Kealy. I ordered it a few months ago to use during the hop. The image was colored with Copic markers and then die cut with a stitched oval die by My Favorite Things. All patterned papers are from the True Stories paper pad by American Crafts (2014). The layout is from this weeks sketch challenge at The Paper Players and I'm also entering this card in the Creative Knockouts challenge to use Furry Friends. The sentiment stamp is by Hampton Arts and I used a black marker to mark through the word love and write the word coffee. For the final touch a bitty blue butterfly was added and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

In My Thoughts Card

Hello crafty friends! I don't know what is going on, but I'm still having a hard time getting motivated to make anything. My energy levels are just drained! This afternoon I sat down and forced myself to make this In My Thoughts Card. Once I got started coloring the image I did okay. The layout is simple and features the darling Flower Teddy image by Bugaboo Digi Stamps. Copic markers were used to color the image and the patterned papers are from the Dear Lizzy Star Gazer paper pad by American Crafts. If my memory is correct, the sentiment stamp is from Impression Obsession and it was stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink. That's it!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Easter Blessings Card

Happy Friday! It's Spring Break here in Oklahoma and I'm having a girls weekend with my nieces and mother this weekend. It's been a really long time since we did this, so it's long overdue. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can enjoy our time together.

One of my favorite new stamps is this sweet bunny by Unity Stamps called Let's Be Happy. Copic markers were used to color the details on the bunny and then a square stitched die was used to die cut the image. When selecting the patterned papers I decided to go pastel and used Amy Tangerine Collection called Yes Please by American Crafts.  Most of my Easter cards have a butterfly, so I added a small butterfly and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Plant Smiles Card

This summer I had the privilege and joy of watching a baby cottontail rabbit grow up right outside my back window. Although I worried about it everyday because we have several Red-tailed Hawks in our area, I'm happy to say it is still hanging out in our backyard. It brought many smiles to my face and it was the inspiration for this Plant Smiles Card.

The image is from the retiring Garden Whimsy stamp set by Newton's Nook. It's currently on sale and once it's gone... it's gone. Copic markers were used to color the image and then it was cut 3.25" square and matted to a piece of Audry Blue cardstock by Simon Says Stamp. The polka dot and red patterned paper is by American Crafts (2012) and the blue stripe is by Echo Park. Everything was adhered flat for easy mailing and the final touch was the die cut sun by Lil' Inkers. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Coffee = Me Happy Card

Sometimes I buy a stamp set for a particular sentiment or image and this sentiment was the reason I purchased the Choose Happy set by Simon Says Stamp. Mainly because it's true, Coffee = Me Happy!!! The patterned paper on this card is by American Crafts from the True Stories paper pad (2014). Luckily the coffee cups were spaced perfectly to add the sentiment in the middle. From a paper scrap I cut out the cup and adhered it to the circle. I thought about adding flowers and then decided it would be too busy. This is my fourth card for the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Skunk Thinking of You Card

Spring is a busy time at Wild Heart Ranch, they are a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation group in NE Oklahoma. I've probably "liked" all their posts on their Facebook page and I enjoy following the work they do. Every animal has a story and most end up in their care because of an injury or weather event that separates them from their mother's care. Most animals are treated and released when they can make it on their own. Recently, I read about their blind skunk who had lived with them for several years passing away. He was allowed to roam free in their clinic and his passing has left many of their staff heartbroken. Well, shortly after I read their post I came across this cute skunk stamp by Unity Stamps called That Stinks and I knew I needed to make them a card. So, here it is a Skunk Thinking of You Card.

All patterned papers are from American Crafts (Spring collection 2013), Copic markers were used to color the image and then it was die cut with a stitched circle die by My Favorite Things. The sentiment stamp and little butterfly are both from stampin' Up! and that pretty much sums it up. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Simple Hi Card

The last week my creativity has been pretty low. It seems I just can't get motivated! I'll look up challenges and check out my blog feed for inspiration but... nothing. I'm blaming the summer heat and maybe I just need a creative break.

This afternoon I was able to follow the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. Everything on this card was already printed or punched and on my craft desk. All I had to do was cut some paper, adhere everything together and stamp a sentiment. Pretty simple! The patterned paper is from the May Berry paper pad by American Crafts and the Polka Dot Bella digital image from Paper Creator came pre-colored. This image reminds me of one of my baby pictures. My mom had tied a "do rag" on my head and handed me a couple of toothbrushes while I was sitting on a green washing machine (see below). The photo was taken when I was 14 months old in 1975.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Bunny Smile Card

Hello! I hope you're having a lovely day. Yesterday the temperature here in Oklahoma reached 81 degrees! It was pretty warm for February and felt like Spring. So, last night I decided to make a Spring inspired card. It was nice to spend some time in my craft room to make this Bunny Smile Card. I used the image for this months progressive challenge at Gerda Steiner Designs. The cute little bunny is jumping rope and it just makes me smile.

To create this card I used patterned paper from the Welcome Spring paper pad by American Crafts. The image was printed and then die cut with an Avery Elle oval die which was matted to a coordinating scallop oval using Baja Breeze cardstock. Using Copic markers the bunny was colored with Warm Gray tones along with a little Flesh Pink. The flowers were stamped using the Sprinkles of Life stamp set by Stampin' Up!. Two Bitty Butterflies were punched using yellow glitter cardstock by DCWV and accented with small adhesive pearls. The sentiment is by Momenta and was stamped using black ink. That's it!

Blossom Hello Card

Hello! I hope you are having a wonderful week. I haven't had a lot of crafting time over the last couple of days. This Blossom Hello Card has been a work in progress since Monday. Finally, tonight I was able to sit down and finish my card. This card started with the idea of using woodgrain for the challenge at Just Us Girls. The woodgrain and black patterned paper are from the Spring 6 x 6 collection by American Crafts. The Hello sentiment is from TPC Studios and it was stamped using StazOn Jet Black ink. All other supplies for this card are by Stampin' Up! and they include: Natural, Crushed Curry and Whisper White cardstock. Square Lattice embossing folder, Banner framelit, Secret Garden leaf framelit, Blossom punch, Mixed Bunch stamp set, Classic Stampin' pads in Strawberry Slush, Crushed Curry and Wild Wasabi. There is one lonely Crushed Curry Candy Dot and Stampin' dimensionals. It may have taken me awhile to complete but I really like the contrast of the black background with the Strawberry Slush flower. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

You're Wonderful Card

This afternoon I was looking around my craft desk trying to find ideas for another "possible" Mother's Day card. When I spied the Vivid Vases stamp by Stampin' Up! (133818) that I buried under some patterned paper. Since I had never used it, I figured now was as good as any. So, I hunted for the right patterned paper to use and picked a floral print and coordinating polka dots by American Crafts. I stamped the image using StazOn Timber Brown ink and colored it with my Copic markers. Then I added lucky limeade twine, a butterfly charm and four candy dots. A simple design but I think it turned out nice. Thanks for stopping by!

Hop Along Bunny Easter Card

This afternoon I realized there is only 17 days until Easter and I have made zero cards for this holiday. Then I realized I only have 12 days to put them in the mail. That means I need to make a card every day to have enough for my family. No pressure! To get started, I made this Hop Along Bunny Easter Card using a digital image and sentiment by Meljen's Designs. I colored the image using my Copic markers. The patterned paper is from the Spring 6 x 6 collection by American Crafts. I love the green in this collection!!! (Is it crazy to go buy another paper stack to hoard away)??? There were several punches used on this card: bitty butterfly punch, scallop edge punch, scallop oval punch and the boho blossoms punch all by Stampin' Up!. I now have one Easter card with 11 more to go. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will stop by again soon!!!

Pumpkin Panda Halloween Card

Good evening! Today I was in the mood to make something cute! On my list of cute animals is the Panda and this Doodle Pantry image is definitely a cutie. The layout for this Pumpkin Panda Halloween Card comes from this weeks sketch at The Sweet Stop. The patterned papers are by American Crafts and the Happy Halloween sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (128748 wood, 127802 clear) by Stampin' Up!. The final touches were some black and white twine and three gemstones. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week.
