Best Day Ever Card

Hello! Last night I was inspired to create this Best Day Ever Card from the sketch challenge CCMC361 at Create with Connie & Mary. It's a challenge to only use Stampin' Up! products and they always have wonderful inspiration. My friend, Joanne James at The Crafty Owl, made a lovely card using patterned papers from the Pretty Petals paper stack. I decided that was a fabulous idea and selected two coordinating papers from the stack. I love the colors in this collection!!! The stamp set used is new and is called Birthday Blossoms. I punched the flower using the pansy punch and colored it with the discontinued Blendabilities Calypso Coral markers. To pull in more green, I used Old Olive twine. That's it! I would also like to enter this card at the Sister Act anything goes challenge. Thanks for stopping by!

Halloween Sock Monkey Card

Howdy! I hope you're ready for a Halloween challenge! This week at Cardz 4 Guyz we would love to see your Halloween cards made for a guy. For my card I was happy to color up this fun Halloween Sock Monkey image by Bugaboo Digi Stamps. I used a combination of Stampin' Blendabilities markers and Copic markers to color the image. The patterned papers are by K & Company with the exception of the Lucky Limeade/Black polka dot it's retired Halloween paper by Stampin' Up! I'll be the first to admit I'm a sucker for Halloween patterned paper. I'll never use everything I have and of course I buy more when I find something I like. Oh well, back to the card... the layout is from the current Stella Says Sketch challenge. The sentiment label is from the retired Tags 4 You stamp set by Stampin' Up! and the final touch were the five black rhinestones by Recollections. That's it! Using the sketch made this Halloween Sock Monkey Card come together pretty easy. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see your card in the gallery at Cardz 4 Guyz!

Blended Bloom Thanks Card

This evening the hubby is working late, so I decided to play in my craft room. While looking at cards this afternoon I found a new to me SU-Only Challenge. The current challenge is to use embellishments. Keeping this in mind I decided to make another Blended Bloom Card to use my recently purchased Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities markers. The image created by the Blended Bloom stamp is a lot of fun to color. Eventually, I will probably create a bloom in every marker color.  All the supplies for this card are by Stampin' Up! and all expect the patterned paper are current products. The stamps sets used are: Kinda Eclectic, Another Thank You, and the Blended Bloom. The leaves were stamped using the rock-n-roll technique using Old Olive and Mossy Meadow stampin' pads. I wanted a little pop of color so I added the Itty Bitty Butterfly in Pool Party with three Rhinestone Basic Jewels. Then I scattered three additional rhinestones around the image and sentiment. That's it! I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

Blended Bloom Sympathy Card

Hooray for Friday! I have several errands on the agenda this afternoon but this morning I was able to sneak in some crafting time. Using the Deconstructed Sketch No. 164, I created this Blended Bloom Sympathy Card. All supplies for this card are by Stampin' Up! After coloring the Blended Bloom with Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities markers, I fussy-cut it out. I had already selected the patterned paper from the Park Lane collection. The darker shade in the flower pulls the Blackberry Bliss tone while the lighter looks more Rich Razzleberry so I decided to use both colors to pull the card together. I really LOVE these colors! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Blended Bloom Take Two

It's always fun to see how using the same design details in different colors changes the look of a card. So, last night I decided to play around with the Blended Bloom Card I made for The Paper Players and use different colors. To see the other card scroll down to my last post or click here. I used the Flowerpot dsp but I selected different papers. Using the Stampin' Blendabilities I colored the Blended Bloom focusing on Daffodil Delight with the center Calypso Coral. I changed my sentiment to Hello from the Lacy & Lovely stamp set and I used the sketch from The Paper Players challenge. I hope you enjoyed seeing the differences in my cards. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Blended Bloom for The Paper Players

Hello and Happy Sunday! I do believe the summer months go by faster or it seems that way the last few weeks. This is my fourth week as a guest designer at The Paper Players and we have a sketch challenge for you! The hostess this week is Ann and I must say the design team have created some marvelous inspiration for you! When I first looked at the sketch I pondered on the oval space trying to figure out what I wanted to put in it's place. Then I decided to play around with my new Stampin' Blendabilities and the Blended Bloom was the solution I needed. Hopefully, you have time to play along with the sketch challenge at The Paper Players (click here). We would love to see what you create! The challenge is open until Noon (PST) on Friday August 1st. Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!
