Watermelon Bear Card

Hello and happy Tuesday! This cute little Watermelon Bear image is a freebie from Gerda Steiner Designs and I've had him printed for awhile. Finally today the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches inspired me to color him and make this Watermelon Bear Card. Since watermelon is a sweet summer treat it also fits well with The Paper Girls challenge for Sweet Summer Treats. The image was colored with Copic markers and die cut with a cross stitched oval die by My Favorite Things. Most the patterned paper is from the Summer Lovin' paper pad by Carta Bella (2014) with the exception of the green stripe which came from the scrap bin. The sentiment is where I did a slight deviation from the sketch. Since it has a round design I just decided to skip adding the twine and added the sentiment.  That's it! Thanks for stopping by.

Koala You're So Sweet Card

Good evening! We had a wonderful weekend and I hope you did too. Yesterday I found a fun sketch from The Sweet Stop and I created this Koala You're So Sweet Card to play along. The image is a colored digi called Kiwi Koala's Watermelon by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I sponged on the clouds using two different sizes of scallop circle punches and bashful blue (retired) ink by Stampin' Up!. The patterned paper is from American Crafts and the ribbon is from Offray. I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder. The sentiment is from the Thankful Accents stamp set by Verve Stamps.  The final touch was three soft sky colored Candy Dots by Stampin' Up!. You're So Sweet Card

Hello! On Monday I took a quick trip to see my parents and nieces. While I was there I helped my nine year old niece make a couple of cards. She said she had fun and she did a wonderful job. So, I thought it would be nice to make her a card. This You're So Sweet Card was made for her. It features the Poppi Penguin - Popsicle digital stamp by Bugaboo Digi Stamps. I colored it with my Copic markers and added a little silver metallic marker to the lens of the sunglasses.
