We would love for you to play along with the sketch challenge and join us this week. Click HERE for all the details and design team inspiration. Ginger Kitty Thanks Card - TMS #516

Welcome back! It's time for the start of another sketch this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches and this weeks sketch is designed by me. I would love for you to play along! As always, the design team has created some wonderful inspiration. To play along just make a card using the sketch and link back to the challenge by 8 pm EST on Sunday. All the challenge details can be found HERE. I hope to see your card in the gallery!

To make this Ginger Kitty Thanks Card I used a stamp set by Unity Stamps called Cat's Meow. Copic markers were used to color the image. I colored the kitty to look like one of the rescued cats at a local shelter called Animal Aid of Tulsa. They are dedicated to helping sick, injured and abused stray dogs and cats in the Tulsa area. Next time I take them a donation I'll include this card. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

10th Birthday at TMS

Happy 10th Birthday to Tuesday Morning Sketches! That's a long time and a lot of sketches over the years. I'm proud to be part of the design team and we have some wonderful inspiration for you this week. We would love for you to celebrate this milestone with us. All you have to do is make a card with the sketch and link your creation by 8 pm EST on Sunday. Click HERE for all the challenge details and design team inspiration. I hope to see your card in the gallery!

To make my card I used distress oxide inks in tumbled glass and mermaid lagoon with mixed media paper. I spritzed it with water several times and used a heat gun to help it dry. Once dry a Folk Art stencil by Plaid called Handmade Charlotte was inked with peacock feathers distress ink. For the smaller circle a portion of the stencil was inked with abandoned coral distress ink and die cut with a stitched die. A sentiment by Close to My Heart was stamped with Memento black ink. Then some twine and candy dots added and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Floral patterned paper from the Floral Spice paper pad by Bo Bunny was used for the background and Bermuda Bay cardstock for the scalloped frame. A small little flower and leaves for detail and that's it. We would love for you to join us this week! You have until Sunday at 8 pm to link your creation. Birthday Blessings Card - TMS #505

Hello and happy Tuesday! If you live in the United States I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. I will admit I didn't leave the house yesterday, it was nice to stay home. Now today is the start of a new sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches and I hope you will join us this week. After choosing my sentiment I decided to rotated the sketch vertically, to fit the flowers they couldn't be arched as drastically as the sketch shows. So, feel free to try the sketch with your creative alterations. You have until 8 pm (EST) on Sunday to link your creation. Click HERE for all the challenge details and design team inspiration.

The stamped flowers were made using Guava ink and the Fab Flowers stamp set along with coordinating dies all by Lawn Fawn. Some fun polka dot paper from the Pretty Things paper pad by My Mind's Eye was matted to a piece of Wild Wasabi cardstock by Stampin' Up!. The sentiment area was cut with a Cricut machine along with the Storybook cartridge and then was stamped with a birthday sentiment by Stampabilities. That's it! So glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Little Moments Card - TMS #504

Happy Tuesday! We had a rainy and stormy night last night, so today I'm hoping for some sunshine. If it's raining where you are then it's a great excuse to stay inside and play along with our new weekly sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. To help inspire you the design team have created some lovely examples. You have until 8 pm EST on Sunday to link your creation. Click HERE for all the challenge details. We hope you will join us and play along with this weeks sketch.

When I started making this Little Moments Card I was in the mood to make something positive and cheerful. So, I selected a recently purchased stamp set from Unity Stamps called Little Moments Big Life by Lisa Arana. Then I picked papers from the Hello Sunshine paper pad by Fancy Pants Designs (2017). Copic markers were used to color the image and the sentiment stamp was stamped using Memento black ink. Since the focal image was more rectangle in design it's taller than the square in the sketch layout and I used a straight element in place of the zig zag. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. So glad you stopped by! Wishing you a happy and crafty day.

Our Thoughts Card - TMS #503

Greetings crafty friends and happy Tuesday! Today I'm thrilled that Tuesday Morning Sketches is featuring a sketch that I designed. There is lots of potential to use fun patterned papers with this card. I can't wait to see what you create! You have until 8 pm EST to link your creation to the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog. Click HERE for all the challenge details and design team inspiration.

When I started making this Our Thoughts Card I probably went through all my 6x6 paper pads looking for the perfect purples. Now, I can tell you I have very little purple to choose from. Although it's my favorite color, either the shades didn't match or it didn't have the right look. So, this is what I ended up choosing by pulling colors from the Rosey with a Flower image by Fred She Said. The sentiment from the Lasting Lily stamp set by Stampin' Up! (2019 Sale-A-Bration) was stamped using black Memento ink. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Encouragement Card - TMS #502

Well, it's another happy Tuesday!!! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will join the challenge this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches. It features one of my favorites shapes... the circle. Circles just make me happy! It's been a while since I've made a masculine card, so that's the direction I took with this Encouragement Card. To allow for the sentiment I turned the sketch horizontal and placed the circles where I thought they looked best. I'm looking forward to how you will use the sketch. For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. You have until 8 pm EST to link your creation to the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!
