Hoppy Holidays Card

Hello and happy Friday! It's the last day of July and I have a Christmas in July card to share. This Hoppy Holidays Card was made using the Snow Bunnies stamp set by Lawn Fawn which was last years STAMPtember exclusive at Simon Says Stamp. I adore bunnies, so I didn't hesitate to purchase this set. This was my first attempt using it and while I was making this card I talked myself into keeping it. That's a problem I have all too often. Anyway... I'll add it to my stash and maybe one day I'll give it away.

The images were colored with a mix of Copic and Stampin' Blends markers by Stampin' Up!. After coloring the images were die cut with the coordinating dies. The papers are from the Winter Wonderland paper pad by Doodlebug Designs and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Balloon Kitty Birthday Card

Good day crafty friends! This past month I've been participating in the 30 Day Coloring Challenge, so now I have several images completed and waiting to be used on a card. Today I colored this Balloon Kitty image from the new Party Pals stamp set by Reverse Confetti. Copic markers were used to color the image and then it was die cut with the coordinating die. When coloring the image I used colors to coordinate with papers from the It's a Celebration paper pad by Carta Bella (2014). I'm trying to use my older patterned papers. It's very clear that I have a serious paper addiction. 😊 The layout is from the sketch at Try Stampin' On Tuesday. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

A Difference Card - TMS #565

Hello and welcome to the start of another new sketch for this weeks challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. When I first glanced at the sketch I wondered how I was going to accomplish the focal area shape. Then one afternoon after feeding a small can of cat food to the kitties, I realized the can was the perfect size for the top of the shape. So, I used an unopened can to trace onto the back of the patterned paper and fussy cut the top part. Using a bold stripe helped to hide any imperfection and makes a nice background for the sentiment. This A Difference Card was made for my hubby's physical therapist. He had a total knee replacement and has been going to therapy since January. His last appointment is this Friday and he asked me to make a card.

We would love for you to join us this week and I'm looking forward to your take on the focal area. For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. Don't forget to link your creation by 8 pm EST on Sunday. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

This card is entered into the challenge at 613 Avenue Create, Anything Goes w/ optional Sentiment as Focus.

One Day at a Time Card - TMS #564

Hello again! We've made it to another Tuesday and that means another new sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches starts today. We would love for you to join us this week! Our sketch this week was designed by Melissa Craig and it's pretty open for your interpretation. I used a retired flower from the Birthday Blooms stamp set by Stampin' Up! It was colored with Copic markers and then fussy-cut. Two additional leaves were added which I colored a little darker and then three sequins were added around the flower. The One Day at a Time sentiment is one of my favorites and it came from Verve Stamps. It was stamped directly onto the Spiffy Speckles paper by Lawn Fawn and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. Don't forget to link your creation by 8 pm EST on Sunday. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Best Things are Rescued Card

Hello! Lately my Facebook feed has been full of local animal shelters requesting donations. There are several in our area that we try to support when possible. One of them is Animal Aid of Tulsa and their mission is to help sick, injured and abused stray cats and dogs of Tulsa, Oklahoma and surrounding area. They help so many critical and tragic cases and rely on donations to help with all the veterinarian bills which are usually emergency related. All in the hopes of finding that animal a forever home once they are healed and ready for adoption. We truly admire the work they do and know that each case has an emotional affect on their volunteers. When I send in my donations I always send a card to help brighten their day. 😺

This Best Things are Rescued Card is the card I'm sending and it was made using the Cat Chat stamp set by Tim Holtz. Don't these kitties look like they need rescued? The scrawny grey one definitely needs to eat a few more meals. My plan for this card was to keep it simple. The sentiment is from the Adopt Don't Shop Cats stamp set by Whimsy Stamps. I used some fun bright paper and kept everything flat for easy shipping. The finished size is 3.5" x 6" which fits into a #6 3/4 envelope perfectly. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Blooming Fantastic Card

Good day! The July heat is setting in and that means I stay home a lot more than usual. Although with the pandemic I've already been staying home most of the time, so it won't be too different. My hubby has done all the grocery shopping since March and he doesn't want me to run errands unless it's absolutely necessary. I hope you are doing well and staying safe! 😊

Yesterday I found a new to me challenge called Festive Friday and they provide a list of several creative choices and you pick 3 to create your project. I used: green, polka dots and flower to create this Blooming Fantastic Card. The image is Lil' Bloomin Owl by Unity Stamps and it was colored with Copic markers. A mix of papers were used but my favorite is the daisies. I'm pretty sure I bought the Country Kitchen paper pad by Carta Bella (2017) just for the daisy paper. To finish the card I added a punched daisy and leaves along with a little yellow butterfly. That's it, a cheerful and bright card that would work for several different occasions. So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Meow to the World Card - TMS #562

Do you feel like the weeks are flying by? Today at Tuesday Morning Sketches we are celebrating 11 years since Melissa published her first challenge post. What were you doing in 2009? I wasn't making cards yet, I started in the fall of 2010 and didn't find online challenges until 2012. It's fun to look back and see the evolution of my skills and designs. I started playing along with Tuesday Morning Sketches in February of 2013 and HERE is that card entry. It wasn't until November of 2018 that I joined as a design team member. This weeks sketch was the very first sketch that Melissa started with and we would love for you to play along. There are several wonderful prizes this week and the design team has provided some amazing creations for your inspiration. Click HERE for all the challenge details and don't forget to link your creation by 8 pm EST on Sunday. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Toucan So Tweet Card

Hello! The summer heat is on and the COVID-19 cases continue to spike here in Oklahoma. Both of these make for good reasons to stay home and craft! I caught a stomach bug last week and haven't done much crafting because I was afraid to touch and contaminate my supplies. Thankfully I'm feeling better!

This Toucan So Tweet Card was made using the sketch from the Inky Paws challenge. The stamps are from the Toucan Party stamp set by Newton's Nook and were die cut with the coordinating dies. I colored the images with Copic markers and used a mix of patterned papers from various paper pads. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. Thanks for stopping by!
