Use Punches or Dies at Crafty Catz

Happy Friday! It's time for a new challenge at Crafty Catz. The challenges are always anything goes with an optional twist. This weeks option is to Use Punches or Dies, super easy! The sponsor this week is A Day For Daisies and I've used their Hoppity image. We would love for you to play along. Click HERE for all the challenge details and design team inspiration.

The last couple of days have been super hot here in Oklahoma. In the morning my outdoor rabbits will be eating grass but in the afternoon they are laying around in my flowerbeds where it's shady. I like to watch them, so I usually check on them several times a day. Below is a picture out my back window of one laying down by the bushes. My hubby put the white piece of lattice up to help give more shade and the rabbit will lay under it. The birds love to use the lattice to rub their head and bodies on, it's fun to watch. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Anything Goes at Tuesday Throwdown

Happy Tuesday! It's time to start another new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown and this week the theme is "Anything Goes." Our sponsor this week is STAMPlorations and they provided this lovely floral image called A Cup of Roses for the design team to create our inspiration. We would love for you to join us this week! Click here for all the challenge details. You have until mid-day on Monday, May 29th to link your creation.

Do you hunt through your patterned papers to find the perfect design? It can be time consuming but well worth it when you find just the right paper. The image is so pretty and I wanted a pretty floral paper for this card. I ended up using a piece from one of the first paper pads I ever purchased. It's by Crate Paper and it's called Random from Fall of 2011.  To pull in the eye a piece of black polka dot paper by Bo Bunny was added. The image was colored with Copic markers, die cut with a stitched rectangle die by Lil' Inkers and then matted to a slightly larger piece of Melon Mambo cardstock by Stampin' Up!. Three sequins add some sparkle and that's it. I'm so glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

Yellow Bird Hello Card

It's a sad goodbye to the month of May! Besides it being my birthday month we generally have nice weather in May and lots of new baby critters show up around my house. Recently I've seen several baby birds at our seed feeders and a parent is feeding them. It's fun to watch them flap their wings while they are being fed.

When I saw the photo inspiration challenge at Catch The Bug was a Meadowlark I knew I had to play along. I love birds but more specifically I love yellow birds. All the paper on this card is by Crate Paper. The Calling Bird image was die cut using a stitched circle die by My Favorite Things. Copic markers were used to color the image and then it was matted to a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock. The Hello sentiment by TPC Studio was stamped using Early Espresso ink. Three brown sequins were added for some sparkle and that's it!

Yellow Flower Birthday Card

Today it's be snowing and sleeting here in Oklahoma. We've even had some thunder and lightning throughout the day. Thunder snow is what they called it. Needless to say it's been a great day to stay inside and make a card inspired by Spring colors. I used patterned paper from the Little Bo Peep Collection by Crate Paper. I've been hoarding this paper for awhile. Green is one of my favorite colors and the shade of green in this collection is just beautiful. Since the papers are pretty busy, I did some zig zag stitching to add subtle detail. The pink card stock is Primrose Petals by Stampin' Up! and I used So Saffron, Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry inks to create the flower. The yellow flower was created using the Secret Garden stamp set and matching framelits. I stamped the flower three times and did some fussing cutting for the layered center. The leaves were cut with the Little Leaves Sizzlits and the scallop circle is by Spellbinders. The Happy Birthday Wishes sentiment is from the Simply Sketched Stampin' Up! hostess stamp set and I used and oval punch and my Cricut for the base oval. The final touch was a Crushed Curry Candy Dot in the center of the flower. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

Sweet Little Donkey Card

Good morning fellow card enthusiasts! This weeks challenge at Card Makin' Mamas is titled "On the Farm" and it's the perfect challenge to use the Sweet Little Donkey image by Meljen's Designs. Many of you may already know that I grew up living in the country. My grandpa raised cattle and I had many neighbors who had donkeys. My sister and I always begged my parents for a donkey....but it was to no avail. It's not like we needed one, we just thought they were cute and therefore we should have one. Evidently that wasn't a convincing argument! Oh well... now I have my own sweet little donkey digital stamp and no feeding is required.

The design for this Sweet Little Donkey Card comes from the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge. I've colored the image with my Copic markers using warm gray colors and the patterned paper is from the On Trend collection by Crate Paper. Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by!
