Christmas Frog Card

Hello crafty friends! If you're thinking that you've seen a card made with this image lately, then you are right I posted it (HERE) a couple of days ago. Since I had the Cuddlebug Frog stamp out I just had to make another Christmas Frog Card. The design for this card was cased from a card by Karen Maldonado. I love how she used a holly stamp at the top of the focal panel and her card is probably the reason I bought the stamp set. My holly stamp isn't as pretty but it's what I had, it's from the Happy Holly-Days stamp set by Stampin' Up!. The images were stamped with Memento black ink and colored with Copic markers. A die set by Newton's Nook called Frames & Flags was used to create the layers and that's it. Thanks for stopping by!🎄

Cuddlebug Frog Card - TMS #630

Good day! When it comes to making Christmas cards I tend to procraftinate, but I'm trying to do better. So, using this weeks sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches I made this Cuddlebug Frog Card. The image is from Unity Stamps and was colored with Copic markers. When it came to patterned paper selection I promise you I went through every Christmas 6 x 6 paper pad I have and finally decided to cut into the 12 x 12 Painted Christmas dsp by Stampin' Up!. It just had the look I wanted and I love all the different shades of green. We would love for you to join us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches! Just use the sketch for your creation and link up HERE by 8 pm EST on Sunday. The design team did a terrific job and I know they look forward to seeing what you create. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day! 🎄

Hoppy Good Time Card

Happy Leap Day! To celebrate this extra day I made this Hoppy Good Time Card featuring a cute frog from the froggy2love stamp set by The Stamps of Life. I'm ashamed to admit this set has been in my stash for several years and this is the first time I've used it. 🐸

The design for this card is pretty simple. I stamped the sentiment at the bottom of a white piece of cardstock, then sponged Tumbled Glass distress ink at the top, added a piece of torn blue patterned paper, adhered the images and then stamped the little flies. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy Leap Day!

Love Notes at Tuesday Throwdown

Hello and happy Tuesday! Valentine's Day will be here in a couple of weeks and to help inspire you our challenge theme at Tuesday Throwdown this week is Love Notes. Our sponsor is The Paper Shelter and I'm using the I Love You, Baby! image that was generously provided to the design team. As always, we would love for you to play along with our challenge this week. CLICK HERE for all the details and design team inspiration. I hope to see your creation in the gallery!

The digital image comes with coordinating paper, but I decided to do some digging in my paper stash. I knew I had music notes in the perfect color to go with the image and since the frog is playing music, and the theme is Love Notes... it was worth the dig. The sentiment is by Impression Obsession and was stamped using black Memento ink. Five small punched hearts were added for detail and topped with sequins for sparkle. That's it!

Cute Bat Trick or Treat Card

This weekend I searched Etsy for Halloween digital stamps and found some wonderful new to me artists. There were several I would love to add to my collection but I picked this Cute Bat image by MarinaNeira (click here to view). I think he is darling dressed up like a little devil and holding a Trick or Treat bag. He's definitely too cute to spook!

To create this Cute Bat Trick or Treat Card the image was colored with Copic markers and I chose warm gray to color the bat. I used a Lil' Inkers stitched rectangle to cut out the image and for the layout I used the sketch at Sketch Saturday. The patterned papers are by DCVW from the Eek-a-Boo stack. The sentiment and little frog are both retired stamps by Stampin' Up! That's it!

Casual Frog Card

Hello and Happy Tuesday! It's time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz and the theme this week is Casual. For this challenge I dug out my Frog on Lily Pad stamp by Rubbernecker Stamps. I colored the image with my Copic markers and then fussy-cut it. To create the look of water I used a torn piece of blue Bazzill Basics Dotted Swiss and added some darker blue with my aqua painters. I used the heat gun to dry it quickly. After adhering the blue piece I stamped the sentiment and adhered the fussy-cut frog with dimensionals. That's it! I hope you will play along with the Casual Challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

When I found the Frog Prince digital image by Meljen's Designs I immediately added it to my cart. The image was already colored, so this card came together very quickly. Un"frog"etable Card

I'm running a little behind entering my usual challenges. I guess I'll go with the saying that it's better late than never. The theme challenge at CAS-ual Fridays: Splish Splash prompted me to create this Un"frog"etable Card. I couldn't resist using this cute frog image and sentiment from Rubbernecker Stamps. I colored the frog with stampin' write and Copic markers. For the water I sponged on two different blue colors and then went over it with tahitian colored twinkling H2O's to give the water a little shimmer. I fussy cut the frog image and adhered with dimensionals. Twinkling H2O's is a product I saw demonstrated at the CKC convention. You use it with water and a paint brush. I really like the subtle shimmer it adds. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
