Butterfly Feel Better Card

Hello and happy day! Wherever you are, I hope your day has been lovely and I'm glad you stopped by my blog. This weekend here in Oklahoma, we are expecting cooler weather and that has put a big smile on my face. I'm so ready for FALL!

My afternoon was spent creating this Butterfly Feel Better Card, it was inspired by three challenges listed below:

• Colour Me!: Colours
• SU-Only: Get Well
• Just Add Ink: Glimmer

All supplies for this card are by Stampin' Up! and here is the list:

• Paper: Whisper White and Garden Green cardstock.
• Stamps: Sassy Salutations, Butterfly Basics and Watercolor Wings.
• Inks: Garden Green, Island Indigo, Pacific Point, Crumb Cake and clear VersaMark.
• Other Stuff: Heat tool, Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter, Bold Butterfly framelit die, Big Shot, and Stampin' dimensionals.

Scribbles Good Thoughts Card

Thank goodness for Thursday, I'm so ready for this week to be over!!!

Last night I did some stamping with a new to me stamp set called scribbles2stamp by The Stamps of Life. I bought it last week at the CK Scrapbook Convention that was in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The colors are from the Colour Me...! challenge to use: Pool Party, Lost Lagoon, Cajun Craze and Tangerine Tango. First, I cut the triangle panels to the desired size then I stamped the scribble outlines with the darker colors and filled them in using a sponge dauber with the lighter color. Then the panels were matted to the darker cardstock and then adhered to a piece of Pool Party cardstock. The sentiment was stamped in Tangerine Tango and then die cut using Lil'Inkers Stitched Rectangles and then matted to Tangerine Tango cardstock. Some rhinestone basic jewels were added for a little sparkle. That's it, pretty easy! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Handmade Card with Die D-Lites

This week the Mod Squad Challenge is Anything Goes PLUS a DIE. There are so many beautiful die cuts on the market these days, it makes it hard to choose. My stash had many butterfly die cuts and layering pieces but nothing fancy and decorative. So, I decided to make a couple of additions. This Handmade Card with Die D-Lites was made using two Spellbinders Die D-Lites cut with the Big Shot. The navy fancy accent was made with the Flourish Trim and the white flower is from the Asters and Poppies set.

The colour scheme for this card is from the Colour Me Challenge. This week there is two different choices and I went with: Calypso Coral, Night of Navy and Whisper White (Team Haley). I tried all my Calypso Coral patterned paper options but I didn't like any of them with the navy flourish trim. So, I used the Watercolor Wash stamp by Stampin' Up! for the background. I like the mix of fancy and modern. What do you think?

To complete the card I used a strip of Night of Navy retired patterned paper. I stamped the sentiment using a stamp from the Watercolor Wishes Kit. The last detail was adding the silver sequins. Faux Patina Congratulations Card

Happy Thursday! It's been raining at my house most of today which made for a good excuse to stay inside. There were two challenges on my mind when I decided to get a little inky and create a card using the Faux Patina technique. I combined the colour challenge at Colour Me! to use Bermuda Bay, Marina Mist and Neutral with the No Patterned Paper challenge at Tuesday Throwdown. Since I had the heat gun out, I decided to heat emboss the Congratulations sentiment from the Sassy Salutations stamp set by Stampin' Up! The champagne embossing powder is by Recollections. All other supplies are by Stampin' Up!. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Tip: If you get too much embossing powder on your panel, use a dry paint brush to remove the excess. 

You Are Amazing Card

Hello! I've been working on this You Are Amazing Card for the last couple of days. I knew I wanted to use the Harlequin stencil by Tim Holtz, but then I had to ponder what came next. The colours used are from this weeks challenge at Colour Me! and include: Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive, Coastal Cabana and Neutral. After much debate and playing, I finally decided to use the Painted Petals stamp set by Stampin' Up!. I used a narrow piece of patterned paper from the Back to Black dsp along the outside of the stenciled panel and adhered the panel to a piece of Elegant Eggplant cardstock which was adhered to a base of Coastal Cabana. Next, I stamped the focal panel then layered it onto Old Olive cardstock. The last step was securing the twine and then adhering the panel to the card. That's it! Circles Happy Birthday Card

There are only hours left in the month of May and for the current Colour Me... Playful! Challenge. The colours feature some of my favorites and include: Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Lost Lagoon, Pumpkin Pie + Neutral. I've used a sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges for the design and I had fun playing in my patterned papers for these challenges.

Most supplies are by Stampin' Up! unless noted, supplies include: Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Lost Lagoon and Pumpkin Pie cardstock.
