Birdie Batter Up! Card

Hello! It's Tuesday again, and that means it's time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz. This week the theme is Hobbies/Pastimes. I really wanted to make a camping card but couldn't find an image I wanted to use. So, I went with one of America's favorite pastimes...Baseball.

The digital image used is by Doodle Pantry called Baseball Birdie. I used the pre-colored version of the image and coordinated my papers from my scrap bin. To add detail I added some denim colored twine from the Twinery and three candy dots by Stampin' Up! That's it!

We would love for you to share your masculine creation with us this week. Click here to see more inspiration from the Cardz 4 Guyz design team. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Baseball Birdie Father's Day Card

Hello! This afternoon I made this Baseball Birdie Father's Day Card for my Dad. He loves baseball and the image from Doodle Pantry was too cute to pass up. I'm going to pretend this little birdie plays for the Oklahoma RedHawks minor league baseball team. We have many fond memories as a family attending baseball games together. So, it just made sense to make my Dad a baseball themed Father's Day card. To create this card the baseballs were cut from patterned paper by The Paper Studio and backed with black card stock. I played around with the placement but with the size of the baseballs there wasn't many likeable options. I inked around the edges of the background paper with a French blue chalk ink and used a sentiment stamp by Hero Arts. That's about it! Thanks for stopping by!

Here is the sentiment I created for the inside of the card:

Baseball is a little like being a father, it's the small things over the course of the game that make a big difference. If you add up all the small things you've done for me over the years then you would win the World Series.

Happy Father's Day!

Baseball Father's Day Card

It's Memorial Day weekend and that means Father's Day is quickly approaching.  When I read CAS-ual Fridays challenge this week is for man related cards I decided now was a good time to make a baseball Father's Day card.  Several months back I purchased designer patterned paper by Karen Foster from my friends store, Sooner Scrapbooks.  The paper made a super baseball Father's Day card!!!

Baseball Father's Day Card Supplies:  Tan cardstock, patterned paper by Karen Foster (Baseball Shuffle #64431, and Baseball Stripes #64432), royal textured cardstock by Core'dinations (GX-SB040-12), rubber stamp by Hero Arts (C4666), ColorBox chalk ink in maroon by Clearsnap, star punch by Creative Memories, dimensional baseball sticker by Paper House (STDM-0009, Baseball), and stampin' dimensionals.
