Card Drive

Good day! Today I'm sharing a card I made for a Card Drive for women going through chemotherapy. Click here for all the card drive details. To create this card I used a very retired stamp set by Stampin' Up! called You've Got This. The flower was colored with Copic markers and then fussy cut. Some stamped splatters were added using the retired Gorgeous Grunge stamp set by Stampin' Up! along with Pool Party ink. The layers were cut using the Scallops & Rectangles die set by Unity Stamps. A little butterfly was added for detail and that's it. If you have some spare time I would like to encourage you to make cards for this card drive. Purple Flower Card

Hello and happy Friday! While recently cleaning my crafty space I got distracted with a stencil. It was found between some patterned papers which wasn't where it belonged. Earlier I had found this purple flower and it was already colored just waiting to be used. So, I made a quick background and created this Purple Flower Card. The flower is from a retired stamp set by Stampin' Up! called You've Got This and it was colored with Copic markers. A thinking of you sentiment and a blue butterfly from my stash were added and this card came together quickly. Pink You've Got This Card

October is breast cancer awareness month and here in the United States 1 in 8 women will experience invasive breast cancer in her lifetime. To support the awareness campaign I've made this Pink You've Got This Card using the You've Got This stamp set by Stampin' Up!. 

Last year I made a very similar card (click here) using purple for domestic violence awareness month, which is also in October. Each of these awareness campaigns are very important to the physical and mental health of countless women. Early detection and education can help in both accounts. Knowledge is power!

You've Got This Card

Hello! This evening I made another card using purple for The Hop to Stop. I really admire Becca Cruger for organizing the hop to help spread awareness about Domestic Violence. Make sure to check out her blog for all the details (click here).

To create this You've Got This Card I've used the You've Got This stamp set by Stampin' Up! and colored the flower with Copic markers. After the flower was colored it was fussy-cut and adhered directly to the background. The background was stamped using Smokey Slate ink and the sentiment was added using Memento Black ink. I was inspired to add a little yellow butterfly because these delicate creatures have been flying all around my backyard flowers for the last week. To add a little sparkle I added three rhinestones to the butterfly and that's it.

Neutral Flower Hello Card

It's been awhile since I've made a card using only neutral color tones. So this afternoon I sat down and created this Neutral Flower Hello Card. The layout is from this weeks sketch by Nance Leedy at The Paper Players challenge. I used the You've Got This stamp set by Stampin' Up! and patterned paper from the Go Wild designer series paper stack. The flower was stamped and fussy cut twice. Once on Whisper White cardstock and then on Tip Top Taupe cardstock. The white layer was cut a little generous and the taupe was cut right on the black line. Then they were adhered together. This made the flower stronger and helped to highlight the stem against the patterned paper and lace. Using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and Sahara Sand ink, I added some splatters directly onto the patterned paper. To get the black circle elements, I used a large lid from embossing enamel with black ink. The white circle was stamped with Sahara Sand ink and the Hello from the Crazy about You stamp set was added in black. A little Tip Top Taupe lace ribbon layered with another strip of patterned paper secured with three staples to the right. Using several dimensionals the flower was adhered on top at a slight angle.
