Framed Autumn Greetings Card

Hooray the first day of Autumn has arrived!!! This is my favorite time of year and although cooler weather isn't arriving until late this weekend, I'm happy Autumn is here. To celebrate the day I made this Framed Autumn Greetings Card for the following challenges:
This Framed Autumn Greetings Card was fun and easy to make. I liked stamping multiples of the leaves to make a leaf wreath to accent the scalloped frame. The leaves are from the Vintage Leaves stamp set by Stampin' Up! and the colors include: Hello Honey, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie. The Soft Suede scalloped frame was cut using the Frame in Frame cutting plate by Taylored Expressions and the Autumn Greetings sentiment is from Inkadinkado. For a little sparkle five sequins in matching colors were used and that's it!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Coffee Cup Thanks Card

To get better at creating casual cards I decided to do a little practice. The final sketch challenge at Seize the Sketch provided a wonderful casual layout and I combined it with the JAVA challenge at CASology. Being a lover of JAVA myself, I couldn't pass up this challenge. I have my two cups daily!!!

Supplies for this Coffee Cup Thanks Card include: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Island Indigo and Whisper White cardstock. Coffee Cup stamp by Hampton Arts, Flax twine from The Twinery, Classic stampin' pads in Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Island Indigo. Sentiment stamp from the Another Thank You set by Stampin' Up! and dimensionals.

Neon Good Job Card

Okay.... I really should be studying so this is going to be a really quick post! Here is my Neon Good Job Card that I made combining the following fabulous challenges:
To create this Neon Good Job Card I heat embossed the polka dots and sentiment with neon Zing! embossing powder. Black is a wonderful contrast to neon colors and I added black twine to add a little more interest. This card will end up going to one of my nieces. Thanks for stopping by and have a terrific Friday night!

Here for You Card

Wow... it's Wednesday already! This week is flying by and there is still a lot to do. The card I'm sharing with you today was probably the easiest card I've ever made. This Here for You Card is a casual design and the top note die gave the focal point interest without adding clutter. I've used Daffodil Delight card stock, En Francais stamp and the Blooming with Kindness stamp set. The flower was inked with Daffodil Delight then I rolled the edges and dabbed the center with More Mustard. I used a stampin' write marker in Gumball Green for the stem and stamped the sentiment with Baked Brown Sugar. The finishing touch was three small pearls and I popped the top note up with several dimensionals. A very quick and simple card that would be easy to duplicate in your favorite color scheme. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

My Here for You Card is entered into the following challenges:

Stampin' Up! 2013-2015 In Color Card

There are only 13 days left until we can start ordering from the New Stampin' Up! catalog! I've already made my list, well my first list of "must haves", and I'm really excited about the new 2013-2015 In Colors. If you haven't seen them yet, this card was made with the five new in colors:
  • Baked Brown Sugar
  • Coastal Cabana
  • Crisp Cantaloupe
  • Pistachio Pudding
  • Strawberry Slush
The colors are fresh, fun, and the hues are very uplifting. I made this Stampin' Up! 2013-2015 In Color Card for a couple of challenges. The cue word BLOOM is the challenge at CASology and I used the new pansy stamp from the Morning Meadow hostess stamp set. Perfect Sentiments challenge is Spring Thank Yous and the sentiment used is from the new Simply Sketched hostess stamp set. This weeks DL.ART Thankful Thursday challenge is a flower theme and the Sister Act Card challenge is always anything goes. Thanks for stopping by!

Wild Halloween Card

Hello! Today ColourQ meets CASology with this Wild Halloween Card. The cue word at CASology is WILD. The first thing that comes to my mind is the zebra pattern. The zebra stamp was quite large so I masked about a third of it to make it more narrow. Combine that with the ColourQ colours and the end result is a simple, savvy, and spooky handmade Halloween card! Thanks for stopping by my blog and have a wonderful day!

Wild Halloween Card Supplies:
  • Paper: Whisper white and tangerine tango card stock by Stampin' Up!
  • Stamps: Zebra background stamp by Stampabilities and Googly Ghouls by Stampin' Up!
  • Inks: Classic stampin' pads in rich razzleberry and basic black.
  • Other Stuff: Circle punch, dots bright bling by Jolee's, googly eyes, and stampin' dimensionals.
The sentiment was created in word and printed on card stock.

Shooting Star Card

Hello! I hope you had a great day. After my work meeting today I headed home to attempt the challenge at CASology. This Shooting Star Card was made using the cue word NIGHT. When I was searching through my stamp stash I found the Wish Upon a Shooting Star sentiment stamp and I knew I had to incorporate it into my card. I stamped the star and then added the trail behind it. I definitely think there is room for improvement but that will have to happen another day. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Shooting Star Card Supplies:
  • Paper: Silver metallic folded card by The Paper Company, whisper white and night of navy card stock by Stampin' Up!, and blue shimmer card stock (source unknown).
  • Stamps: Wish Upon A Shooting Star stamp and Star stamp both by Stampabilities.
  • Inks & Colouring: VersaMark stamp pad, silver tinsel embossing powder and lapis pearlustre embossing powder both by Stampendous!, twinkling H2O's in Tahitian, and Radiant Rain shimmer mist in ice by Creative Imaginations.
  • Other Stuff: Glue pen, heat tool, star gemstone, and stampin' dimensionals.

Paisley Elephant Card

This week at CASology the cue card word is ZOO which goes great with the Anything Goes Challenge to use Animals. The CASology challenge ends Sunday at noon so I sat down tonight and created this Paisley Elephant Card. The paisley elephant image is a digital stamp by Bugaboo Stamps. I used a paisley embossing folder by Cuttlebug on very vanilla card stock by Stampin' Up! The accent color is old olive and the thank you Itty Bitty Banner sentiment stamp set and Bitty Banners Framelits  are all by Stampin' Up! Thanks for checking out my card and have a great day!

White Season's Greetings Card

Good afternoon! I took this weeks challenge at CASology and created a WHITE card. I have to say this is a first for me and I'm not sure how I feel about the results. I enhanced this White Season's Greeting Card by using vellum and white glitter paper cut with the Cricut machine. I used the Christmas/Noel Cricut cartridge for the snowflakes and Season's Greetings sentiment. I do think this card is prettier in person. The white sparkle of the glitter paper doesn't really show in the photo.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and enjoy your day!

Snowflake Holiday Card

When it comes to card making I love using patterned paper, stamping, and embellishments.  Keeping a card one layer and casual can be a challenge for me.  This Snowflake Holiday Card was made using one layer and I kept it simple.  This is my first one layer card.  I'm entering it in the CASology challenge.  The challenge is to make a card using the cue word: happy.

Snowflake Holiday Card Supplies: White cardstock, black dye ink, snowflake stamp by studio g, Happy Holidays sentiment stamp by Stampabilities (swirly happy holidays, DR1138), Copic marker (B02), Ice Stickles in Arctic Ice, and rhinestones.

While I was busy posting my card, my cute crafting buddy was sunning himself next to my desk.  He doesn't have to work very hard to look this cute.  Have a wonderful Saturday!
