It's been a long while since I have posted. Most days I am too tired to be crafty. However, I saw the color challenge at <b><a href="https://www.inkypawschallenge.com/2024/03/inky-paws-challenge-218.html" target="_blank">Inky Paws</a></b> was to use violet, lavender, yellow, and white, so I decided to play along. My card design is based off a design by Amanda Bodine from the <a href="https://www.newtonsnookdesigns.com/garden-mice/" target="_blank">Garden Mice by Newton's Nook</a> stamp set release. Her card is very clean and simple. I took a different approach and used patterned paper. The position of the mouse and sentiment were swapped, so the cards are similar, but definitely not the same. That's it! Thanks for stopping by.πΌAndrea Whttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06066256886160251230noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6765683492183177739.post-90329616448902866632023-09-25T12:30:00.005-05:002023-09-25T12:33:38.328-05:00Autumn Blessings Card<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsMa6_nm3uGs_DSMJmq08MUSdbrtodePODv8uxuGwWEdxrdbSwGxubgB8fmE7rGKYaBf0Nxs1OMg10DjPQQcIk7OZ58GRQd57hgImKLF-3edoJmrgnDXp-yv1HHm9dsi9r5nfuucilPmTM4ZhOLcxaxF8W_XKshz6Q5i3a8cJDrEmnDPGx0Z_0HAvg0Ck/s3060/IMG_20230924_181935_022.webp" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3060" data-original-width="3060" height="273" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsMa6_nm3uGs_DSMJmq08MUSdbrtodePODv8uxuGwWEdxrdbSwGxubgB8fmE7rGKYaBf0Nxs1OMg10DjPQQcIk7OZ58GRQd57hgImKLF-3edoJmrgnDXp-yv1HHm9dsi9r5nfuucilPmTM4ZhOLcxaxF8W_XKshz6Q5i3a8cJDrEmnDPGx0Z_0HAvg0Ck/w256-h273/IMG_20230924_181935_022.webp" width="256" /></a></div>Well, hello! It's been awhile since I've been able to make a card. One of my cats broke the tip of her front right elbow and had to have surgery. After surgery was 7 weeks of cage rest with minimal activity. Finally, we got the all clear that she can go back to normal activities. It was a long and hard 7 weeks, since she is only 9 months and still full of energy. I'm praying things will calm down now and life can get back to some kind of "normal." <p></p><p>This <b>Autumn Blessings Card</b> was made using dies from Unity Stamps and the wreath is from the no longer in business Reverse Confetti Stamps. Copic markers were used to color the image and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!</p>Andrea Whttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06066256886160251230noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6765683492183177739.post-46169475070625068012023-07-25T18:10:00.004-05:002023-07-26T11:42:35.979-05:00Getting Ready Card<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxZiyW1UaAkTRK6bCH5hdv8LGQuM8rRaTjfoFwCLMpDmtOY5zUe97CEXxGmAPxHRjyUbjDo-4AaN5F9c6wQ5cgnd3K5aiojQToGh23EoVJatpzdafy2c7e0RMNCTueYrakzsFZGJNdHRYbdb9JOHc33I8c11Y61dfpN6n2XFJ2rU9IYY3v9a4lFAFVqH0/s676/DSC01495.JPG" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="676" data-original-width="508" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxZiyW1UaAkTRK6bCH5hdv8LGQuM8rRaTjfoFwCLMpDmtOY5zUe97CEXxGmAPxHRjyUbjDo-4AaN5F9c6wQ5cgnd3K5aiojQToGh23EoVJatpzdafy2c7e0RMNCTueYrakzsFZGJNdHRYbdb9JOHc33I8c11Y61dfpN6n2XFJ2rU9IYY3v9a4lFAFVqH0/s320/DSC01495.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>Hello! It's super hot outside, so making a Christmas card seemed like a good idea. Thankfully, the month of July is coming to an end, but I didn't want the Christmas in July challenges to disappear without participating. So, I made this <b>Getting Ready Card</b> featuring the Getting Ready stamp by Colorado Craft Company. Copic markers were used to color the image and then the coordinating die used to cut it out. A piece of snowflake paper from the Winter Market paper pad by Carta Bella was used for the background. Everything was adhered flat onto a piece of blue cardstock and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!π<div><br /></div><div><u>Challenges entered</u>:</div><div><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>Crafty Catz: <a href="https://craftycatzweeklychallenge.blogspot.com/2023/07/crafty-catz-challenge-647-plus-redraw.html" target="_blank">Anything Goes/Christmas</a></li><li>Dragonfly Dreams: <a href="http://dragonflydreamschallenges.blogspot.com/2023/07/july-challenge-christmas.html" target="_blank">Christmas</a></li><li>Dream Valley: <a href="http://dreamvalleychallenges.blogspot.com/2023/07/challenge-298-christmas-in-july.html" target="_blank">Christmas in July</a></li><li>Peace On Earth: <a href="https://peaceonearthchristmas.blogspot.com/2023/07/peace-on-earth-christmas-challenge-44.html" target="_blank">Photo Inspiration</a></li><li>Sweet Stampin': <a href="http://sweetstampinchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2023/07/christmas-in-july.html" target="_blank">Christmas in July</a></li></ul></div>Andrea Whttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06066256886160251230noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6765683492183177739.post-52113826114802717772023-07-19T14:20:00.004-05:002023-07-20T09:25:51.499-05:00Turtley Awesome Card<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6s5T1kBmr2TjTmZT16lIzKUQphdwij-MiLgUbAJDMmSM6h9WUQhBu4eVmi2qFrF3HFCWEiz5foqcDMoI4yztDnj9bKY1AJLZuUMxr0ZG4KJx8vNGtZ46awlUFpHdd4BMDre6BDDnMFOSkA0Awg-OIEtAFC299gLv4rE3QLjTczcYMgx_uDa-pfiMGqvM/s725/DSC01492.JPG" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="725" data-original-width="543" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6s5T1kBmr2TjTmZT16lIzKUQphdwij-MiLgUbAJDMmSM6h9WUQhBu4eVmi2qFrF3HFCWEiz5foqcDMoI4yztDnj9bKY1AJLZuUMxr0ZG4KJx8vNGtZ46awlUFpHdd4BMDre6BDDnMFOSkA0Awg-OIEtAFC299gLv4rE3QLjTczcYMgx_uDa-pfiMGqvM/s320/DSC01492.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>Good day crafty friends! It's been a few weeks since I've played in my craft room. At the end of June, I broke a lower wisdom tooth and had to have it removed. It went well, but I sure hope I don't have to do that again.<div><br /></div><div>Today, I finally felt like crafting again, so I made this <b>Turtley Awesome Card</b>. The images and sentiment are by Gerda Steiner. To color the images Copic markers were used and a dab of glossy accents added to the turtles eyes. It's a hot one today in Oklahoma. Being a land locked state, there are no pretty beaches to visit. So, I made my own little beach using the <b>Summer Penguins </b>stamp set by Pink & Main. The cute little penguin image was colored with Copic markers and then die cut with the coordinating die. The palm tree paper is from an older Carta Bella paper pad called Summer Lovin' (2014) and some waves paper from the Echo Park Under Sea Adventures paper pad (2021) was also used. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.π΄π΄π΄<p></p><p><u>Challenges entered</u>:</p><p></p><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>Little Red Wagon: <a href="http://lilredwagon.blogspot.com/2023/06/challenge-711-let-sunshine.html" target="_blank">Let the Sunshine</a></li><li>Make My Monday: <a href="http://mmmchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2023/06/203-on-water.html" target="_blank">On the Water</a></li><li>Simon Says: <a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-anything-goes-107/" target="_blank">Anything Goes</a></li><li>The Sisterhood of Crafters: <a href="https://thesisterhoodofcrafters.blogspot.com/2023/06/beach.html" target="_blank">Beach</a></li></ul>Andrea Whttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06066256886160251230noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6765683492183177739.post-27300484442813206142023-06-18T20:40:00.000-05:002023-06-18T20:40:13.318-05:00Card from the Rescued Cats<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkRBPUdnSkCg9R1YTqIN7hnZBE077rdgxx8IIQC8hz-GtJmtc1kMYY8gkVckFXzpJ8nITofZbHnLbxI2d8DNCgST1b5v2bjpQcAKzqCVCxRJdgOsTQ6IqoKoFkyrRVBLPuQvKMXj6VIfhjViAwXZYqJUPVB_-L6N3yWIdj_QoqbdHh4xEQqlUBO9bH/s720/Cats%20Card.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="531" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkRBPUdnSkCg9R1YTqIN7hnZBE077rdgxx8IIQC8hz-GtJmtc1kMYY8gkVckFXzpJ8nITofZbHnLbxI2d8DNCgST1b5v2bjpQcAKzqCVCxRJdgOsTQ6IqoKoFkyrRVBLPuQvKMXj6VIfhjViAwXZYqJUPVB_-L6N3yWIdj_QoqbdHh4xEQqlUBO9bH/s320/Cats%20Card.JPG" width="236" /></a></div>Hello and Happy Father's Day! My hubby and I never had kids, but we have rescued cats. So, I made my hubby a <b>Card from the Rescued Cats</b>. He does a lot for them and I could never do it all alone. He will tell anyone that he wasn't really a cat person before he met me, I made him love cats. Right now, he is in the recliner taking a nap with our youngest who was rescued a block from our house last October. The poor little guy had been dumped and was crying for help. He would have never made it outside. Thankfully, he ended up with us. He is one of my hubby's best buddies.π<div><br /></div><div>This <b>Card from the Rescued Cats</b> features a stamped image and sentiment from the Adopt Don't Shop Cats stamp set by Whimsy Stamps. The image was colored to look like our cats using Copic markers. Black cats are hard to color, but I think it turned out okay. The sentiment was popped up using foam tape and some sequins added for sparkle. So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!</div><div><br /></div><div><u>Challenges entered</u>: Crazy for Cats (<a href="https://crazyforcatschallenges.blogspot.com/2023/06/challenge-8-anything-cat-goes-sponsored.html" target="_blank">Anything CAT Goes</a>), Daring Cardmakers (<a href="http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.com/2023/06/make-it-masculine.html" target="_blank">Make it Masculine</a>), The Crafty Addicts (<a href="https://thecraftyaddicts.blogspot.com/2023/06/challenge-02.html" target="_blank">Anything Goes</a>) and The Creative Crafters (<a href="https://creativecrafterschallenge.blogspot.com/2023/06/challenge-65.html" target="_blank">Anything Goes</a>).</div>Andrea Whttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06066256886160251230noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6765683492183177739.post-40981511319683892262023-06-15T18:10:00.004-05:002023-06-15T18:10:00.149-05:00Papa Bear Card<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1wM-wZwBRuP_GJT1m6GCFZs0PX7ldZLCd3rASRoP6WUT11IJrZQ6UarOSwGRNzhAnNSA0BOXH-3DR8sSGkQd9QyoMcHchGD5KzPM6m9-i4l_SPLJck8naXMx729q28JBqe9C1Q_Agta-r9adi8NRX4gqhSiLqHWck7k5J8hVABrRyBHW_O0a5fbHs/s725/DSC01480.JPG" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="725" data-original-width="543" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1wM-wZwBRuP_GJT1m6GCFZs0PX7ldZLCd3rASRoP6WUT11IJrZQ6UarOSwGRNzhAnNSA0BOXH-3DR8sSGkQd9QyoMcHchGD5KzPM6m9-i4l_SPLJck8naXMx729q28JBqe9C1Q_Agta-r9adi8NRX4gqhSiLqHWck7k5J8hVABrRyBHW_O0a5fbHs/s320/DSC01480.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>Good day! I've had a severe case of the tireds lately and it's been a struggle to make anything. I'd rather lay down for a nap. Anyway, I finally made my dad a Father's Day <b>Card</b> using the retired <b>Papa Bear</b> stamp set by Newton's Nook. It's a simple card, but I adore the image. When I was little my dad would hold me up in the air propped up on his feet. It's a wonderful memory to recreate with a card. I hope he likes it! It's been a lazy Sunday at my house. So, I decided to make this <b>You Arff the Best Card</b> for a sweet lady I know. The dog image is from the Puppy Friends stamp set by Newton's Nook. After the images were colored using Copic markers they were die cut with the coordinating dies. A couple of pieces of patterned paper from the Day in the Life paper pad by Echo Park were selected. The focal panel was made using a deckle rectangle die, then sponging on distress inks in Tumbled Glass and Peeled Paint. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. The month of May is almost over and I'm dreading the return of hot weather. I'll be a hermit in my house for the months of June-August. Many people enjoy the hot weather, but I'm not one of them. Every summer I'm thankful for central air conditioning! I truly need to move to a cooler climate. π<div><br /></div><div>Since the Emerald is the birthstone for May, I wanted to make a card using green to close out the month. The layout is from this weeks sketch at <b><a href="http://tuesdaymorningsketches.blogspot.com/2023/05/tuesday-morning-sketches-709.html" target="_blank">Tuesday Morning sketches</a></b>. I picked a patterned paper from the Jack and Jill paper pad by Echo Park (2015). A small floral stamp by Altenew called Wonder Clusters was stamped and colored with Copic markers. The coordinating die was used to cut it out. A <b>Thinking of You</b> sentiment by Taylored Expressions was stamped and die cut with a stitched circle die. The final addition was the little yellow butterfly that was in my stash and everything was adhered flat. That's it and thanks for stopping by. This <b>Thinking of You Card</b> is also entered into the anything goes challenge at <b><a href="http://useyourstuff.blogspot.com/2023/05/485-anything-goes.html" target="_blank">Use Your stuff</a></b>. Today I'm sharing a card I made to help me through a difficult day. This past Saturday would have been my brother's 40th birthday, but he passed away over 3 years ago. Our birthdays were really close together and growing up we usually had a combined birthday party, so my birthday isn't the same without him. I felt like I needed to do something to recognize his special day, so I made this card. <p></p><p>Almost all the supplies used on this <b>Masculine 40th Birthday Card</b> are from Stampin' Up!. However, most of them are also very retired. The stamp set is called Number of Years and the patterned paper is from the Cupcakes & Carousels paper stack. The Stitched with Whimsy Die is current and used around the edge of the paper. A few silver glitter punched stars for sparkle and everything was adhered flat. <span style="text-align: center;">Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.β¨</span></p><p><u>Challenges entered</u>:</p><p></p><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>Craft Rocket: <a href="http://craftrocketchallenges.blogspot.com/2023/05/challenge-103-for-boys.html" target="_blank">For the Boys</a></li><li>Fab 'n' Funky: <a href="http://fabnfunkychallenges.blogspot.com/2023/05/challenge-573-special-birthdays.html" target="_blank">Special Birthdays</a></li><li>Make My Monday: <a href="http://mmmchallengeblog.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Masculine</a></li><li>Sweet Stampin': <a href="http://sweetstampinchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2023/05/sweet-stampin-masculine.html" target="_blank">Masculine</a></li></ul>Andrea Whttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06066256886160251230noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6765683492183177739.post-4813848447855865622023-05-18T14:30:00.000-05:002023-05-18T14:30:06.373-05:00Birthday Card with Flowers<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZH7yGNlHcdqgPd2dLxvbi6zp9nJ2iooZvn_YtBaZ8FQxTNle7s3mdDHRsyV7MD6DjUadWFUQ1CxxDkk8kVPSTMiCQfhkgai17tcD7VG4f_pP6IYvDxFSIiI3YVrdNlvd2gGbXkfEoQus86Z_L1d-JVZ3PrKV37yEsk1Z6qw4rXage2p8BrpuTipVb/s725/Birthday%202023.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="725" data-original-width="543" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZH7yGNlHcdqgPd2dLxvbi6zp9nJ2iooZvn_YtBaZ8FQxTNle7s3mdDHRsyV7MD6DjUadWFUQ1CxxDkk8kVPSTMiCQfhkgai17tcD7VG4f_pP6IYvDxFSIiI3YVrdNlvd2gGbXkfEoQus86Z_L1d-JVZ3PrKV37yEsk1Z6qw4rXage2p8BrpuTipVb/s320/Birthday%202023.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>Good day! This afternoon I made this <b>You're Cool Card</b> to give to our veterinarian staff. We had an appointment for Tommy's three month x-rays after his surgery to make sure there were no more tumors growing back. Thankfully his x-rays look good!!! We will do x-rays again in six months, but today I am very relieved.<div><br /></div><div>To create this <b>You're Cool Card</b> I used the challenge colors at Inky Paws. Although my green might be a tad too bright. The stamp set is called Newton's Summer Treats by Newton's Nook and the image was colored with Copic markers. Using Scattered Straw distress ink I created the background using the ink smooshing technique. The layers were cut out using the Frames and Flags die set by Newton's Nook. Everything was adhered flat and three sequins added for a little sparkle. That's it! So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.</div><div><br /></div><div><u>Challenges entered</u>:</div><div><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>Crafty Animals: <a href="http://craftyanimals.blogspot.com/2023/05/challenge-72.html" target="_blank">Anything Goes including an Animal</a></li><li>Crafts Galore Encore: <a href="http://cardsgalorechallenges.blogspot.com/2023/05/may-2023-challenge-111crafts-galore.html" target="_blank">Anything Goes</a></li><li>Critter Crazy: <a href="https://2craftycrittercrazies.blogspot.com/2023/05/challenge-74-anything-goes-with.html" target="_blank">Anything Goes with a Featured Critter</a></li><li>Inky Paws: <a href="https://www.inkypawschallenge.com/2023/05/inky-paws-challenge-197.html" target="_blank">Colors</a></li></ul></div>Andrea Whttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06066256886160251230noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6765683492183177739.post-56084125102579564392023-05-11T11:10:00.000-05:002023-05-11T11:10:04.055-05:00Happy Place Card<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFODa3oKypXKJK9150XqKzQAGO569feKN9ZduKYKr7yw2x7LyvNU__QpJrN4MedPumUUyW8mEND9kRYzaIjYtUNJqQhr3IJnujF_7bmIqws926WGtCVoSWsz5JaLTB5SyUrhV879tOnb3Yw8YhNfwwmoBGQMK_bmlYi9RV1VvKNDURX8uYI5IhU_Rt/s707/DSC01457.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="707" data-original-width="535" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFODa3oKypXKJK9150XqKzQAGO569feKN9ZduKYKr7yw2x7LyvNU__QpJrN4MedPumUUyW8mEND9kRYzaIjYtUNJqQhr3IJnujF_7bmIqws926WGtCVoSWsz5JaLTB5SyUrhV879tOnb3Yw8YhNfwwmoBGQMK_bmlYi9RV1VvKNDURX8uYI5IhU_Rt/s320/DSC01457.JPG" width="242" /></a></div>Good day! There are only a couple of days left to play along in the current <a href="https://www.inkypawschallenge.com/2023/05/inky-paws-challenge-197.html" target="_blank">Inky Paws color challenge</a>. The challenge colors are: Royal Blue, Olive Green, Sunshine Yellow and White. It took me awhile to decide what stamp set to use and I finally decided on Newton's Birdhouse. Our cats love to watch the birds and I started feeding birds to attract the American Goldfinch, one of my favorite birds. So, I colored the little birds yellow and the cat was colored to look like my sweet boy Mr. Tommy. The sky and grass background was made using the ink smooshing technique and the layout is one I have used before. I love the sentiment "Find your happy place!" My happy place is with Mr. Tommy, he is such a handsome and good boy, he always puts a smile on my face. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.<p></p><p><u>Challenges entered</u>:</p><p></p><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>Alphabet: <a href="https://alphabetchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2023/05/c-is-for-cats.html" target="_blank">Cats</a></li><li>Ellibelle's Crafty Wednesday: <a href="https://www.simplyellibelle.com/2023/05/ellibelles-crafty-wednesday-may.html" target="_blank">Anything Goes</a></li><li>Inky Paws: <a href="https://www.inkypawschallenge.com/2023/05/inky-paws-challenge-197.html" target="_blank">Colors</a></li><li>Sweet Stampin': <a href="http://sweetstampinchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2023/04/sweet-stampin-animals.html" target="_blank">Animals</a></li><li>The Cutie Pie: <a href="http://cutiepiechallenge.blogspot.com/2023/05/challenge-no-182-theme-four-legged.html" target="_blank">Four Legged Friends</a></li></ul><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7bp_ym1NkbcY4Om4Wq5J6dipv0sE7K7pFtvUe9L_mEBRnrmszgF0f8N7u8L7i0au7TD5ywX22xQf3-C1PttIWZWGwqt7RoZFOh1UO18lSBALayAScmqMKJMkRBkRJKadSC6fcShmvKDYPhegrMrW4S2vAIYx_We8GtZAUcagP8eQbHCJAbR8Sns_F/s1024/Tommy%20(1).jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1024" data-original-width="768" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7bp_ym1NkbcY4Om4Wq5J6dipv0sE7K7pFtvUe9L_mEBRnrmszgF0f8N7u8L7i0au7TD5ywX22xQf3-C1PttIWZWGwqt7RoZFOh1UO18lSBALayAScmqMKJMkRBkRJKadSC6fcShmvKDYPhegrMrW4S2vAIYx_We8GtZAUcagP8eQbHCJAbR8Sns_F/s320/Tommy%20(1).jpg" width="240" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Mr. Tommy</td></tr></tbody></table><p></p>Andrea Whttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06066256886160251230noreply@blogger.com13tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6765683492183177739.post-68859261454149956072023-04-26T17:00:00.004-05:002023-04-27T12:17:45.103-05:00Handmade Card for Mom<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2ST4D1wagJwCxAOs9Yu6MyC7U2fB0WdSelHGRE1UC-DOsxJyzzwhiaiEprjW8GnkSqUTOjHuzgBaP8lz9CNqlGxiyhMW-xve-lO4V-9wguzgWcFgFdtaJc1sDFeKDEYwo8HWGmz15TDns_SgSFenRncD1a1ankPRE9j6cIpg8OjYN-dG_qQz8gSbv/s725/DSC01447.JPG" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="725" data-original-width="543" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2ST4D1wagJwCxAOs9Yu6MyC7U2fB0WdSelHGRE1UC-DOsxJyzzwhiaiEprjW8GnkSqUTOjHuzgBaP8lz9CNqlGxiyhMW-xve-lO4V-9wguzgWcFgFdtaJc1sDFeKDEYwo8HWGmz15TDns_SgSFenRncD1a1ankPRE9j6cIpg8OjYN-dG_qQz8gSbv/s320/DSC01447.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>Hello! It's a rainy day here in Oklahoma. I ran a few errands this morning and then decided to play in my craft room. After digging through my stamp sets, I decided to use the <a href="https://pinkandmain.com/always/" target="_blank">Always stamp set</a> by Pink & Main to create this <b>Handmade Card for Mom</b>. My mom likes the color blue, so I found a pretty floral paper in the New Day paper pad by Echo Park (2022) that reminded me of her. It coordinates nicely with the stamp set. On Monday I learned of the tragic passing of a dog from the apartment complex where I work. So, I made this <b>Dog Sympathy Card</b> for the owner's. Losing a pet is heartbreaking and sometimes the little things help to get us through.<p></p><p>This <b>Dog Sympathy Card</b> is pretty simple to create. The cloud paper is by Kaiser Craft from the Little Treasures Collection. A die cut cloud using a Puffy Cloud border die by Lawn Fawn. The heartfelt sympathy sentiment is by Unity Stamps from the No Better Words sentiment kit (December 2020). A dog silhouette die cut made using a Cricut machine and then three blue heart sequins added for detail. That's it and thanks for stopping by.</p><p> </p>Andrea Whttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06066256886160251230noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6765683492183177739.post-74888331619691582952023-04-11T21:15:00.000-05:002023-04-11T21:15:07.520-05:00Butterfly Thinking of You Card<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQGHORxBlQOLK7H0IJ8baBbkLgEM2g021-Agw3cGIhGg9RsCrMjiLphXVVbxqsyCTXkME93YNCE33fcfNEKD8g_1lP-mumX3C82bDhipWPkjvuZnTqfXR90N1GHmOdUeBtv_ra6smghKqT7ZiyFY3o40sMKrer_URBqbKucvs5HxVqljOtg2KGH_2F/s725/DSC01437.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="725" data-original-width="543" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQGHORxBlQOLK7H0IJ8baBbkLgEM2g021-Agw3cGIhGg9RsCrMjiLphXVVbxqsyCTXkME93YNCE33fcfNEKD8g_1lP-mumX3C82bDhipWPkjvuZnTqfXR90N1GHmOdUeBtv_ra6smghKqT7ZiyFY3o40sMKrer_URBqbKucvs5HxVqljOtg2KGH_2F/s320/DSC01437.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>Hello! As it gets warmer outside, I've noticed a few butterflies fluttering around my yard. We don't spray chemicals on our backyard, so the butterflies and bees have a few things to feed on until I plant flowers. πΌ<p></p><p>To create this <b>Butterfly Thinking of You Card</b> I used the sketch from the <a href="https://www.inkypawschallenge.com/2023/04/inky-paws-challenge-195.html" target="_blank">Inky Paws Challenge</a>. I added some blue to play the option at <a href="https://craftycatzweeklychallenge.blogspot.com/2023/04/crafty-catz-challenge-632-anything-goes.html" target="_blank">Crafty Catz</a> and three butterflies to play along at <a href="https://dd-tripleb.blogspot.com/2023/04/april-challenge.html" target="_blank">Triple B</a>. The butterfly images are from the retiring Beautiful Wings stamp set by Newton's Nook. Floral paper from the My Favorite Summer paper pad by Echo Park was selected. It's almost Easter and time to get the cards in the mail. This <b>Easter Card with Ducks</b> was made for my parents. I usually make them a card with a bunny, so I thought I would do something different. The image is from Unity Stamps and it's called Lucky Little Ducks. The Happy Easter sentiment is from the bunny- keep you forever sentiment kit by Unity Stamps. Copic markers were used to color the image. I found a plaid paper by Recollections that coordinated perfectly and added some floral patterned paper by Doodlebug Designs. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. It's a lovely rainy day here in Oklahoma, so I decided to spend some time crafting. I made this <b>Birdies Thank You Card</b> for the sweet lady who does our taxes. She has been doing them since my hubby and I have been married, 25 years. A thank you card is probably long overdue. <p></p><p>The card layout is from this weeks challenge at <a href="http://tuesdaymorningsketches.blogspot.com/2023/03/tuesday-morning-sketches-699.html" target="_blank">Tuesday Morning Sketches</a>. An image from Unity Stamps called For all Your Help Birdies was stamped and then colored with copic markers. When I started looking at sentiments, nothing fit right. Then I remembered the retired Vertical Greetings stamp set from Stampin' Up!, that I had never used, and decided that would work perfectly. The floral patterned paper is new from Echo Park from the It's Spring Time paper pad and some coordinating paper from my scrap bin. A butterfly from my stash was added and that's it. The surgery went well, but my hubby decided we had to stay up with him for the first week. So, we took shifts sleeping and making sure he was okay. To say the least... I was very sleep deprived! Thankfully he is recovering nicely and is getting back to his normal routine. <p></p><p>This <b>Four Paws Thank You Card</b> was made for the surgeon and hospital staff to thank them. The inside reads "for a job well done!!!". It features the Talk To the Paw stamp set from Unity Stamps, the paws were colored with Copic markers and then fussy-cut. The sentiment was made with the computer and I accented it with a little heart. Some fun striped and polka dot paper was used and everything was adhered flat. That's it. So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!</p><p><u>Challenges entered</u>:</p><p></p><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>Krafty Chicks: <a href="https://kraftychickschallenge.blogspot.com/2023/02/krafty-chicks-challenge-652-all.html" target="_blank">All Occasions</a></li><li>Stamping Sensations: <a href="https://sirstampalotchallenge.blogspot.com/2023/02/february-challenge.html" target="_blank">Anything Stamped/Sketch Option</a></li><li>The Sisterhood of Crafters: <a href="https://thesisterhoodofcrafters.blogspot.com/2023/02/dots-andor-stripes.html" target="_blank">Dots and/or Stripes</a></li></ul><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Mr. Tommy the day after surgery:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpmtt39D2GR21vKmDmIcEaRdD9Sr9EVinJfomQVHRVnMgTxZaoV2Usabq9a2F2q04EQp-_rmihvoy6Qcp1YJHdzQdS04EYqrNMizZPpA_bqedwjRsdbgpWKSMp3Qh0A4O6BAM74MyrlT_RaRAEsbfenXPWT2i4gfgOUVXInDWW0Njwk1eERMa_7orW/s1288/20230203_124214_resized.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1288" data-original-width="966" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpmtt39D2GR21vKmDmIcEaRdD9Sr9EVinJfomQVHRVnMgTxZaoV2Usabq9a2F2q04EQp-_rmihvoy6Qcp1YJHdzQdS04EYqrNMizZPpA_bqedwjRsdbgpWKSMp3Qh0A4O6BAM74MyrlT_RaRAEsbfenXPWT2i4gfgOUVXInDWW0Njwk1eERMa_7orW/s320/20230203_124214_resized.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Mr. Tommy three weeks after surgery:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7_UQ4hYsVXcDmeeA91LdkiNy1X0Zhgggd0d0hgyvkEiscP9A43XfRqjI8Jb7FuAUchmyvLeP2CMdgHah7PtZ8eBWp_9qA9N3Y_fAJ0eNJ8nH9vTnKnkFrbzipYvasPguadNbPV0JvQ8VqBcfZzbORrAQirShJA6ohUxdF3UFmg0f-KWHfE61Gtmpw/s725/DSC01393.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="543" data-original-width="725" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7_UQ4hYsVXcDmeeA91LdkiNy1X0Zhgggd0d0hgyvkEiscP9A43XfRqjI8Jb7FuAUchmyvLeP2CMdgHah7PtZ8eBWp_9qA9N3Y_fAJ0eNJ8nH9vTnKnkFrbzipYvasPguadNbPV0JvQ8VqBcfZzbORrAQirShJA6ohUxdF3UFmg0f-KWHfE61Gtmpw/s320/DSC01393.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><p></p>Andrea Whttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06066256886160251230noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6765683492183177739.post-41452783514053569832023-01-31T13:25:00.001-06:002023-01-31T13:31:06.527-06:00Pink Bunny Card<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0n9IdWMevGJCvxrdcALwbr9XMuEGGrZpojxLTiRGE-TJmPlj9K9niGa4pGU07YBr-XV9qzeUlUmXJv-diZD0JtfVmICBTNERBKsVThVvXvG7ckbiw1ZIWmwxUgY64xF3MCIsjd9pkUcWcxp9DGgJTZdQVR34wJSIPwYSHEPtB34F89XnMLFKWWtl1/s725/DSC01380.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; display: inline !important; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="725" data-original-width="543" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0n9IdWMevGJCvxrdcALwbr9XMuEGGrZpojxLTiRGE-TJmPlj9K9niGa4pGU07YBr-XV9qzeUlUmXJv-diZD0JtfVmICBTNERBKsVThVvXvG7ckbiw1ZIWmwxUgY64xF3MCIsjd9pkUcWcxp9DGgJTZdQVR34wJSIPwYSHEPtB34F89XnMLFKWWtl1/s320/DSC01380.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>Good day! Outside my house the ground is covered in a layer of sleet. That has me staying indoors today. So, I thought I would share with you another card I recreated. This <b>Pink Bunny Card</b> features an image from Unity Stamps called Dottie Bunny. I originally made a similar card in March 2021 and you can see it <a href="https://savvyhandmadecards.blogspot.com/2021/03/bunny-thinking-of-you-card.html" target="_blank">HERE</a>. The patterned papers are from the Everyday paper pad by Pebbles (2015). This time I moved the sentiment over a little and added two pink hearts. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!<p></p>Andrea Whttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06066256886160251230noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6765683492183177739.post-27897486297076857382023-01-26T13:15:00.003-06:002023-01-26T13:15:00.192-06:00Cats Sending Smiles Card<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCE5OWFxZBayZQcbywi8C2bFONVl_FPM2Y-3tp0oyojAgu76qKZnNw0j6om2KlNVrvFCFg-6TN6g5wMv2MqMmijeBzNJHrDRrOGHBXMRX8NT82s3KVujwKB285WeVwxxXvHmhKGXgrUcw_ilNYK45oY3FhBtE8n1qAgN9Jcfr9yQ-5tkxNhHKDG_fR/s725/DSC01384.JPG" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="725" data-original-width="543" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCE5OWFxZBayZQcbywi8C2bFONVl_FPM2Y-3tp0oyojAgu76qKZnNw0j6om2KlNVrvFCFg-6TN6g5wMv2MqMmijeBzNJHrDRrOGHBXMRX8NT82s3KVujwKB285WeVwxxXvHmhKGXgrUcw_ilNYK45oY3FhBtE8n1qAgN9Jcfr9yQ-5tkxNhHKDG_fR/s320/DSC01384.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>Hello! This <b>Cats Sending Smiles Card</b> is my latest recreation. I haven't felt super creative lately, so I am recreating some of my favorite cards from the last couple of years. The original card using this image and layout was made last June and you can see it <a href="http://savvyhandmadecards.blogspot.com/2022/06/sending-smiles-card.html" target="_blank">HERE</a>. I used completely different colors, so the cards look pretty different. The image is from the Newton's Blooms stamp set and the sentiment is from the retired Sending Hugs stamp set both by Newton's Nook. Copic markers were used to color the image and then they were die cut with the coordinating dies. The floral patterned paper is from the Springtime paper pad by Newton's Nook. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. I'm entering this card into the Crazy for Cats Challenge (<a href="https://crazyforcatschallenges.blogspot.com/2023/01/challenge-3-anything-cat-goes.html" target="_blank">Anything CAT Goes</a>), Simon Says Wednesday Challenge (<a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-anything-goes-102/" target="_blank">Anything Goes</a>) and the We Love Stamping Challenge (<a href="https://www.welovestamping.co.uk/2023/01/january-challenge.html" target="_blank">Favourite Colors</a>). My favorite colors are purple and green. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!πΌ<p></p>Andrea Whttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06066256886160251230noreply@blogger.com4
