Scribbles Good Thoughts Card

Thank goodness for Thursday, I'm so ready for this week to be over!!!

Last night I did some stamping with a new to me stamp set called scribbles2stamp by The Stamps of Life. I bought it last week at the CK Scrapbook Convention that was in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The colors are from the Colour Me...! challenge to use: Pool Party, Lost Lagoon, Cajun Craze and Tangerine Tango. First, I cut the triangle panels to the desired size then I stamped the scribble outlines with the darker colors and filled them in using a sponge dauber with the lighter color. Then the panels were matted to the darker cardstock and then adhered to a piece of Pool Party cardstock. The sentiment was stamped in Tangerine Tango and then die cut using Lil'Inkers Stitched Rectangles and then matted to Tangerine Tango cardstock. Some rhinestone basic jewels were added for a little sparkle. That's it, pretty easy! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Keep Your Faith Card

Keep your faith in all beautiful things:
 In love before it's realized,
in the flower before the bloom.

This Keep Your Faith Card started with selecting a fantastic sketch and a lovely sentiment. The Mojo Monday sketch #406 was used for this card. The focal panel was perfect for the sentiment from the Garden Phrase stamp set by Rubbernecker. It was stamped in Soft Suede ink by Stampin' Up! All patterned paper on this card are by Bo Bunny from the Penny Emporium Collection. I used the Flower Shop stamp set by Stampin' Up! and stamped onto purple polka dot paper. The flower was punched using the Pansy Punch and then popped up with dimensionals. The Bird Builder Punch was used for the leaf accents. The final touch were a few purple rhinestones by Recollections. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Bat Cat Halloween Card

Hello! I hope you're having a great day! I have a quick post to share my latest Halloween card. This Bat Cat Halloween Card will be sent to my youngest niece. She likes cats and the cute Penny Black Bat Cat stamp looks a lot like her kitty. The stamp is quite large at 3.5" and so I made the card 5.5" square. I colored the image with my Copic markers and paper pieced the bat mask. The papers are from DCWV and I used a fun spider web punch by Fiskars to add some detail. For the sentiment I used a new set from Stampin' Up! called Ghoulish Greetings and the final touch were three black rhinestones. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Blended Bloom Thanks Card

This evening the hubby is working late, so I decided to play in my craft room. While looking at cards this afternoon I found a new to me SU-Only Challenge. The current challenge is to use embellishments. Keeping this in mind I decided to make another Blended Bloom Card to use my recently purchased Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities markers. The image created by the Blended Bloom stamp is a lot of fun to color. Eventually, I will probably create a bloom in every marker color.  All the supplies for this card are by Stampin' Up! and all expect the patterned paper are current products. The stamps sets used are: Kinda Eclectic, Another Thank You, and the Blended Bloom. The leaves were stamped using the rock-n-roll technique using Old Olive and Mossy Meadow stampin' pads. I wanted a little pop of color so I added the Itty Bitty Butterfly in Pool Party with three Rhinestone Basic Jewels. Then I scattered three additional rhinestones around the image and sentiment. That's it! I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

Do Small Things Card

Good afternoon, I hope you're having a wonderful day! This morning I was playing around in my craft room and although I really needed to clean (ha!). I ended up making this Do small Things Card. The Dove image is by Meljen's Designs and I colored it with my Copic markers. When deciding which patterned papers to use I wasn't sure these two would work together, but I went with it. In the end I really like how it turned out. The polka dot paper is from Recollections and the green is by American Crafts. For the cardstock colors I used Coastal Cabana and Lost Lagoon by Stampin' Up! The sentiment is from Hampton Arts and the green rhinestones are from Recollections. Well, I still need to clean my craft room since the cleaning fairy has not found her way to my house. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!!!

Greetings of the Season Card

Merry Christmas! I hope you enjoy time with your family today. Our family gatherings are all done and it's just the hubby and I at home today. We are having a very quite day and that gave me some time to make this Greetings of the Season Card. I used the new Petite Petals stamp set and punch from the upcoming Celebrate the Everyday catalog from Stampin' Up! The stamp set and punch will be available beginning January 3rd. I used the Top Note die and colors in Garden Green and Real Red. The sentiment is from the retired Greetings of the Season stamp set and the final touch was the addition of Rhinestone Basic Jewels. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Colorful Butterfly Card

I love butterflies, they just make me happy! Each week at Flutter By Wednesday's they have a challenge to use a Butterfly or a Fairy on your card creations. This week they also have a sketch to follow designed by Kathy Curry. The sketch is for a square card and it's been awhile since I've made one, so I figured today was as good as any. This Colorful Butterfly Card features the Daisy Butterflies digital image by Meljen's Designs. I used many different colors of Copic markers to color the image. The green strip of paper was sponged with Pistachio Pudding (a new In Color for Stampin' Up!, available May 31st) and then stamped the script with Garden Green. The striped patterned paper is from the Collectable "Memorable" collection by My Mind's Eye. Thanks for stopping by!

Emboss Resist Swallowtail Card

Hello friends! Many of you know I'm from Oklahoma and our weather the last couple of days have been quite tragic. I wanted to let you know that my family is safe and everyone is accounted for. My brother and several relatives live in Moore where the large tornado hit but their homes weren't in the path of the destruction. I appreciate all your thoughts!

I have a quick post to share this Emboss Resist Swallowtail Card I made using the colors from this weeks Sunday Stamps challenge. The challenge colors are: Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight and Lucky Limeade. I have plenty of patterned paper in these colors but I decided to combine the color challenge with Cards in Envy and 'ABC' Challenges to stamp and create your own background. I stamped and embossed the Swallowtail onto white card stock and then sponged on Lucky Limeade and Daffodil Delight ink. I used a blender pen to add the Rich Razzleberry accents. My first idea was to stamp the sentiment onto a decorative label, but after I had it ready to adhere, I didn't like the way it looked. So, I stamped the sentiment directly onto my background paper. A few rhinestones to add a little bling and my Emboss Resist Swallowtail Card was complete. Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!

Bird Thinking of You Card

Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a great week. Mine went pretty fast and that is always a good thing. My card today was made for a sketch challenge at Created With Love Challenges. I love sketch challenges, it helps take the guess work out of where to start with your card design. This Bird Thinking of You card was made combining the sketch and colours from the weekly ColourQ challenge. I also used polka dotted paper to be included in the Use Your Stuff challenge. Three is usually my limit on combining challenges, any more than that and I'm never happy with the results. I hope you will play along at Created With Love Challenges!!! This week is a triple challenge week. Make sure you check out the other two challenges:

The Big Hugs card I made today is for a friend who is going through a personal issue.  To help create this card I used the challenge sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and a colour challenge from ColourQ.  I have to admit that these colours were truly a challenge for me.  My ink stash was not stocked with the right colors and I had to dig deep to find the right cardstock.

Groovy Gingham Birthday Card

There is only a couple of days left to enter the Moxie Fab World Gingham Challenge.  Last week I bought this pink gingham and groovy flower paper to make a card for this challenge.  So, I decided to make this groovy gingham birthday card to add to my stash.  I decided to keep this card simple.  I didn't use dimensionals or bows to make this card easy to mail.

Contemporary Card

For this weeks ColourQ challenge I wanted to do something different.  Over the last couple of days I've been experimenting with my artistic abilities.  I have a painting that I made in college that inspired this card.  I would sum up this contemporary card by saying it is clean, simple, modern, and fun.

Contemporary Card Directions:
  1. Make card from white cardstock.  Finished size: 4" x 5.5".
  2. Trim blue cardstock slightly smaller than card, wrap and secure twine, and adhere.
  3. Punch 1 1/2", 1", and 3/4" circles, layer circles, adhere middle circle with dimensionals and outer circles directly to card.
  4. Stamp sentiment and adhere rhinestones.
My artwork from college.
