Sketch:

Shamrock Kitty Card

One more St. Patrick's Day card that I'll be hand delivering to our feline veterinarian tomorrow along with some chocolates. We had our rescue kitty, little Daisy, spayed last week and she is doing really well. I wish I bounced back from surgery as fast as she did. We kept her separated from the other cats for one day but she was ready to get back to her normal routine.

This Shamrock Kitty Card features a digital image by Gerda Steiner Designs. To color the image Copic markers were used in various shades of green: G29, G46, YG67, YG11, YG06 and YG25. The kitty is colored with: YR21, E53, E50, Y23 and E95. Plaid shamrock paper by Recollections and Garden Green polka dots by Stampin' Up! worked well together along with Garden Green and Wild Wasabi cardstock. The sentiment is by SKdigis and it was punched with a retired oval punch. Three gold sequins add some sparkly detail and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

St. Patrick's Day Card

Good day! I'm making a couple more St. Patrick's Day Cards and then I'll have to focus all my crafting time on Easter. It's sad how slow I am at making cards! If there were a speed card making competition, I would lose.

This St. Patrick's Day Card features a darling cat digital image by Gerda Steiner. It was colored with Copic markers and then die cut with a stitched circle die by My Favorite Things. The sentiment stamp is by SKdigis and was punched with a 1 1/2" circle punch. I love the green gingham by Recollections with the black polka dots for contrast. The green banner is actually glitter paper, although you can't tell from the photo. It adds a nice sparkle to the card. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that pretty much sums it up. Hedgehog St. Patrick's Day Card

Hello! I hope you're having a fantastic day! Yesterday was my last day at my seasonal job, so now I have more time to spend crafting. For some reason my husband thinks I should spend more time cleaning, but that just doesn't sound like fun. My creative side has a real conflict with organizing!

Since green is one of my favorite colors, I really enjoy making cards for St. Patrick's Day. I don't make that many, just enough for family because it's fun to receive a card for something unexpected like St. Patrick's Day. This Hedgehog St. Patrick's Day Card features a cute image by Bugaboo Stamps called March Hedgie St. Patrick's Day. The image was die cut with a stitched circle die by My Favorite Things. Copic markers were used to color the image and all patterned papers are by The Paper Studio. The mood board at SumMore Fun helped to inspire the shades of green and gold sequins. Love and Luck Card

Hello and happy St. Patrick's Day! I know not everyone celebrates this occasion but I enjoy making St. Patrick's Day Cards. Probably because one of my favorite colors is green. To make this Love and Luck Card I used a freebie image courtesy of IKEsART and colored it with Copic markers. One of my kitties was the inspiration for the coloring. He really has unusual markings and is the sweetest kitty. He loves to lay on a green cotton rug and request a belly rub, so I colored some green underneath the image.  I added a few gold accents along with a pot of gold sticker by Jolee's. The papers and sentiment stamp have been in my stash for a long time. Thanks for stopping by and....

Shamrock Sheep Card

Happy Friday! I have a quick post to share a card I made for my parents for St. Patrick's Day. My parents raise sheep, so I used the cute Shamrock Sheep image from Bugaboo Digi Stamps. The layout is from Stella Says Sketch #505 and it's perfect to use paper scraps from that ever growing pile. Copic markers were used to add some color to the sheep image and then it was die cut with a stitched circle die by My Favorite Things. To add some texture I used a new Spellbinders embossing folder (which I found out isn't compatible with a Big Shot), so I had to cram it through my Texture Boutique. Green glitter tape was added before the image was adhered with dimensionals. Accents were added in accordance with the sketch and that's it!

Lucky to be Irish Card

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I have a quick post to share this Lucky to be Irish Card. There is a portion of my families DNA that comes from Irish descent. It's more prominent on my dad's side of the family. Because of our heritage I usually make my immediate family St. Patrick's Day cards, however this year was crazy and this was the only card I made. So, it will be next year before this card gets mailed.

Most of the supplies on this card have been in my stash for several years. Cardstock colors are Garden Green by Stampin' Up! and Sour Apple by Bazzill.  All patterned paper on this card along with the green brads are from The Paper Studio. I've used the very first stamp set I bought for this holiday and it's by Studio G. The stitched circle die is from My Favorite Things the shamrocks were colored with Copic markers.

I started this blog in March 2012 and a St. Patrick's Day card was my third post. This morning I went through the first couple of months of my old posts and it was fun to see the difference in my cards. Here is a link to my first St. Patrick's Day card. Hello! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. This month is flying by and I realized I still need to make a few more St. Patrick's Day cards. It's been awhile since I've played along with a Stella Says Sketch challenge at Catch The Bug. So, this afternoon I made this Shamrock Bear St. Patrick's Day Card using the Theodore - Shamrocks Bugaboo Image. I colored the image with my Copic markers and used several shades of green to give it a nice St. Patty's Day feel. Monochrome Green Card

It's time for one more GREEN card! This Monochrome Green Card was made using this weeks Tuesday Morning Sketch and there is a "twist" for this challenge. The twist is to use a Monochromatic Green colour scheme. I found another challenge called There She Goes and their challenge is to use Shades of Green. So, that's what I did. The flourish accents were cut with my Cricut machine and then I added some lime ice Stickles and rhinestones for a little sparkle. Wild and Irish Card

Hello! I'm loving all the green and St. Patrick's Day challenges right now! I think green is a fun and happy colour. Don't let the sentiment on my card fool you... Yes, I'm Irish and NO I don't consider myself "wild" but I did have fun creating this Wild and Irish Card. I bought the Studio G stamp set last year after the holiday was over and until now I had never used it. The green polka dot paper is from the Ooh La La collection by My Mind's Eye. The shamrocks and sentiment were heat embossed to give the images a raised and shiny effect. I love the look of embossed images. Hello! Wow, the afternoon really got away from me!!! I don't know what happened but I'm running behind schedule.

Okay, onto the card. This Happy St. Patrick's Day Card was made using the Mojo Monday sketch. To add details, I did a little stitching, used washi tape, and added some twine. Lucky Shamrock Card

Happy Friday! For the first day of March I couldn't think of anything better to share than a St. Patrick's Day Card. These Lucky Shamrock Cards are a casual design that is easy to duplicate. When I was creating this card I wanted something simple that I could make multiples of quickly. I mixed it up a little and made one card with the opposite papers, just for fun. All supplies by Stampin' Up!

Lucky Shamrock Card Supplies:

• Paper: Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series Paper (126922), Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight, and Whisper White card stock.
• Stamps: Lucky Day stamp (129177).
• Inks: Classic stampin' pad in Lucky Limeade.

Hello friends! I hope you're having a wonderful week and you're staying warm. It snowed here in Oklahoma yesterday and today we have more chances of freezing rain. Needless to say it's a great day to stay in my craft room!

When it comes to sending St. Patrick's Day cards, my recipient list is small. I send cards to my immediate family and that's not very many. I enjoy making cards for this green shamrock filled holiday. Maybe it's my Irish heritage or maybe it's because I LOVE the color green, but I think making St. Patrick's Day Cards is fun. This Lucky St. Patrick's Day Card is made using Edward Elephant by Bugaboo Digi Stamps, which I colored with Copic markers. The design came from this weeks Sweet Sketch Wednesday by Arlana Patten. The image and sentiment is from SKdigis Shop and I used my Copics to colour them. Halfway through making my card I almost scraped it. I don't like the horizontal white stripes in the background!
