Door Hanging - TMS Anything Goes

Hello crafty friends! It's the last Tuesday of 2019 and I hope you will join us in our annual anything goes challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. It has to be new and it has to be crafty but it doesn't have to be a card. I've made a Door Hanging for my nephew for his bedroom at my parent's house. He really likes dinosaurs, so I used some patterned paper by Doodlebug Design. The T-Rex image was a free online download. All letters were cut with my Cricut machine using the Alphalicious cartridge. Everything was adhered onto a comic book board, which is thick, the perfect size and my hubby has a ton of them. That's it! Click HERE for all the challenge details and design team inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will play along with us this week.

Pile of Fun Card - TMS #534

December is moving along and I'm not getting close to what I need to accomplish. So, I've decided that it's okay. Not everything has to turn out the way I planned because too much has happened that wasn't planned. I'm trying to just "let it go"! However... today is Tuesday and that means the start of a new sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This weeks sketch was designed by Debbie Foster and you can make it as simple or as elaborate as you want it to be. I know this time of year is busy, but if you have that last minute card to make then this sketch might be just what you need. We would love for you to join us this week. Poinsettia Joy Card - TMS #533

Hello crafty friends! We are starting another sketch challenge today at Tuesday Morning Sketches and I designed this weeks sketch. I hope you will give it a try! It was pretty fun to put together and feel free to substitute any shape for the circles. I went with a poinsettia build a flower die cut by Momenta that I found at Hobby Lobby. The design team did a fantastic job with their creations. Click HERE for all the challenge details and design team inspiration. Don't forget to have your creation linked by 8 pm EST on Sunday.

Finding joy may be difficult for my family this Christmas. Last Tuesday my only brother passed away and my heart is broken. He is no longer in pain and for that I'm grateful but I'm having a hard time with his passing. I wanted to make this weeks design team card because I designed the sketch, but I don't know how much crafting I'll get done in the weeks ahead. I appreciate all thoughts and prayers!

This Poinsettia Joy Card is entered into the following challenges:

Wishing You Joy Card

On Monday night I started making this Wishing You Joy Card to play along in a few challenges. Then Tuesday my life had a heartbreaking change. We knew my younger brother wasn't doing well and his prognosis was terminal but we thought we had another month or more with him. I made the two hour drive to the hospital and was there when my brother took his last breath. Watching him die has been the hardest thing I've ever done! His suffering is over but our journey of grief has just begun. After losing my younger sister in 2011 my hope was to never go through the loss of a sibling again, now at the age of 45 I'm an only child. My heart is broken all over again. If you believe in the power of prayer, feel free to say a prayer for me and my family. 💔

Tonight I finished this Wishing You Joy Card featuring an image from the Festive Fawns stamp set by Newton's Nook. It was colored with a mix of Copic and Stampin' Up! markers. The sentiment is from the Poinsettia Blooms stamp set by Newton's Nook. Two die sets by Newton's Nook were also used, the Land Borders set and the Forest Scene Builder set. The purple snowflake paper is from the Altitude Collection by Bo Bunny. To add a little more detail I used a snowflake edge punch by EK Success with white glitter paper for sparkle. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. As always... I'm glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Poinsettia Joy Card - TMS #532

Well... December is here and another Tuesday has arrived! Are you done with your Christmas cards? If you're looking for some layout inspiration then you should definitely check out this weeks challenge sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. The design team has done a fantastic job on their creations. Click HERE for all the challenge details and design team inspiration. We would love for you to join us this week!

For this Poinsettia Joy Card I decided to go simple and let the patterned paper do all the work. The poinsettia paper is by Echo Park from the My Favorite Christmas paper pad. To add some sparkle some red and gold sequins were scattered along with a shiny gold bow. The Joy to the World sentiment is by Stampabilities and that's it. Don't forget to link your creation using the sketch by 8 pm EST on Sunday. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.
