Hello! This evening I made another card using purple for The Hop to Stop. I really admire Becca Cruger for organizing the hop to help spread awareness about Domestic Violence. Make sure to check out her blog for all the details (click here).
To create this You've Got This Card I've used the You've Got This stamp set by Stampin' Up! and colored the flower with Copic markers. After the flower was colored it was fussy-cut and adhered directly to the background. The background was stamped using Smokey Slate ink and the sentiment was added using Memento Black ink. I was inspired to add a little yellow butterfly because these delicate creatures have been flying all around my backyard flowers for the last week. To add a little sparkle I added three rhinestones to the butterfly and that's it.

Beautifully stamped and colored image, and your fussy-cut doesn't even show. Like the sentiment. Excellent CAS card.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue! After cutting the flower out, I went around the outside with a black marker to give it a crisper edge.
DeleteSo very pretty! I love that background! Is that part of the same set?
ReplyDeleteYes, the slate stamping directly behind the flower is part of the same set. The splatter spots stamped to both sides are part of the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.
DeleteThe purple flower looks gorgeous
ReplyDeleteSaw you entry at the Hop to Stop and dropped in to have a closer look. Your projects are gorgeous...I will be dropping in again.

So, so so pretty. The slate gray with the vibrant purple creates a stunning effect! I love the grungy background too! (You know... all things distressed... haha). Thank you SO much for being such an awesome supporter of the Hop to Stop. I admire you, too!

Love your sketchy stamp behind your flower. You have colored the flower so nicely. I also like the gems added to the butterfly and the sentiment rocks!
