Super Dad Card

Does your dad like Superman?  Then a super dad card would be perfect for him.  Make it for Father's Day or a birthday.  You will need a few special tools to make this card.  It was made using a Cricut machine and the Cricut Superman™ cartridge    (291071).  Be prepared that this card takes some time to get all the little pieces aligned.  I used a skin white Copic marker (E00) on white cardstock to make the skin tone for Superman's face and hands.  A Xyron create-a-sticker makes the small pieces easier to adhere.

The finished size:  5" x 6.5".

There are only hours left to enter the Moxie Fab World Doilies & Lace challenge.  I bought this lace & pearl ribbon several weeks back with the intent to make a card for this challenge.  So, I sit down tonight and made sure I got it done.

Handmade Thank You Card

One of my new favorite things about Monday is participating in the MOJO Monday sketch challenge.  Last week I found a great color challenge and I thought I missed the deadline, but I didn't.  So, today I combined the two challenges.  A MOJO Monday sketch challenge and the CR84FN color challenge.  The final result was a handmade thank you card with butterflies and rhinestones.

Congratulations Card

There is only one day left to enter the Moxie Fab World Damask & Brocade Challenge.  This congratulations card was made with the Moxie Fab and CAS-ual Fridays bling challenge in mind.  One of my favorite colours in aqua and when paired with black it makes a very classy combination.

Congratulation Card Directions:
  1. Make card from black cardstock, or use ready made card.  Finished size: 6.25" x 4.5".
  2. Trim aqua cardstock slightly smaller than card and adhere.
  3. Trim glitter damask paper by Recollections (178562), and off white cardstock; use VersaMark stamp pad to stamp image (97633, floral flourishes by Inkadinkado) and heat emboss with Zing! black glitter finish embossing powder.
  4. Stamp sentiment (CL414, classic messages by Hero Arts) with ColorBox blue lagoon chalk ink by Clearsnap.
  5. Punch hole for layered paper flowers, tape the two pieces together, wrap and secure ribbon (Offray, #103676 from Michaels), attach layered paper flowers with brad, and adhere to card.

Groovy Gingham Birthday Card

There is only a couple of days left to enter the Moxie Fab World Gingham Challenge.  Last week I bought this pink gingham and groovy flower paper to make a card for this challenge.  So, I decided to make this groovy gingham birthday card to add to my stash.  I decided to keep this card simple.  I didn't use dimensionals or bows to make this card easy to mail.

Groovy Gingham Birthday Card Supplies:  Blue cardstock, white cardstock, patterned paper by heidi grace designs (01-001465T), pink gingham paper by Recollections,  Cricut machine, Cricut Storybook cartridge, black dye ink by Stampabilities, clear stamp designed by Adam Pescott, happy birthday sentiment clear stamp by Hero Arts (CL414), Copic markers (colorless blender, B34, E00, E15, R83 & RV34), and rhinestones by Recollections.

Bling Swirls Birthday Card

When I first started making cards one of my main forms of embellishments were dimensional stickers.  I was looking through my stash last night and decided I needed to utilize what I had on hand.  I found a new package of Jolee's boutique pastel swirls (50-20923) that are fun and have bling.  My oldest niece is turning fifteen this next week and I needed to make a card for her.  So, I decided to make her this bling swirls birthday card for another shot at the CAS-ual Fridays bling challenge.

Bling Swirls Birthday Card Supplies:  White cardstock, pastel pink glitter cardstock, Jolee's boutique dimensional stickers (pastel swirls repeats, 50-20923), TPC Studios clear stamps (Greetings, ST93416), ColorBox pigment stamp pad in Orchid by Clearsnap (15034), Stampabilities pigment ink pad in light pink (711366) (I mixed the two ink colors because one was too bright and the other was too light and I didn't have something in between), Stampendous! Pearlustre translucent embossing powder (EP150), heat tool by The Paper Studio, and foam tape.
