This time of year I'm ready for Fall to arrive! The colors on my craft desk turn to comforting warm hues and I anxiously await the cooler weather to arrive. Fall/Autumn is still a few weeks away but it's officially arrived in my craft room.
For this card I started by playing around with a Very Vanilla piece of cardstock and sponging on ink colors: Cajun Craze, Delightful Dijon and Pumpkin Pie. Then I used VersaMark ink with a leaf stamp from the Vintage Leaves stamp set and heat embossed with copper embossing powder. The coordinating Leaflets Framelit Dies were used with the Big Shot to cut the leaf shape. Next a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock was embossed using the Brick Wall embossing folder. The edges of the embossed panel and the patterned paper from the Serene Scenery paper stack was inked with Antique Linen distress ink by Tim Holtz. Some ink was added to the bricks and the Many Thanks sentiment from the retired Another Thank You stamp set was stamped directly onto the panel with Soft Suede ink . The panel was matted to a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock and one edge was die cut using a stitched scalloped die by My Favorite Things. The panel was then adhered to the patterned paper and then matted to a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock. Before adhering the layers to the card base, some linen thread was wrapped around three times and secured to the back with tape. Then everything was adhered to the card base. The final touch was adding three brown sequins and that's it! Unless noted the supplies are by Stampin' Up!.
