Inked Embossed Birthday Card

When I started my blog in March, I had no idea what kind of response I would get.  So, today I'm super happy to have over 10,000 page views.  Thank you for taking the time to view my work.  It's the small things in life that make me happy!!!

This Inked Embossed Birthday Card was made for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge CFC60 titled: Text me and the Moxie Fab World Birthday Stamping challenge. To create this card I inked up the Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder with Hero Arts chalk ink in Iris and then I ran it through my Texture Boutique machine by Sizzix.  Essentially this stamped and embossed the image at the same time.  It has a distressed look to it that I like but I thought it needed some colour.  To add some colour I embossed a couple of small sections and fussy cut the images, punched a couple of small flowers and added some bling to finish it off.

Best Wishes Polka Dot Card

Can there be too many round elements to a card?  I look at this card and I like it and then I look at it again and I don't.  Oh well!!!  This must be what happens to my creativity when my weekly routine is disrupted.

This Best Wishes Polka Dot Card was created using the Sweet Sunday Sketch.  I used designer paper by Pebbles and wooden buttons from American Crafts.   I opted not to make the card square because I have no square envelopes.

Best Wishes Polka Dot Card Supplies: Kraft cardstock, patterned paper by Pebbles (Country Picnic collection, 751244 Cobblestone), pink cardstock by Basic Grey, lucky limeade and very vanilla cardstock by Stampin' Up!, eyelet border punch by Stampin' Up!, Cricut machine, Cricut  cartridge (Storybook), scalloped circle punch by Marvy, 1" circle punch by EK Success, sentiment stamp by Inkadinkado (Everyday expressions, 60-60049), classic stampin' pad in lucky limeade, lace on a roll by Recollections (212736), wooden buttons by American Crafts, and stampin' dimensionals.

Miss You Card

With today being the Fourth of July, I had no plans to make a card.  However, my husband decided to do some yard work and that meant I had time by myself in the house.  Making a card won over doing house chores.  This Miss You Card is a combination of the Freshly Made Sketches challenge and the ColourQ challenge.  I really like how the colours worked with the sketch.

Miss You Card Supplies: Blue cardstock, navy cardstock, red cardstock, calypso coral cardstock and Everyday Enchantment dsp by Stampin' Up!, random scraps of blue patterned paper, fancy  fan embossing  folder  by  Stampin' Up!   (127751), Texture Boutique by Sizzix, butterfly trail stamp by Inkadinkado (99257), VersaMark watermark stamp pad, classic stampin' pad in calypso coral, clear sentiment stamp by TPC Studios (Greetings set, ST93416), Stampendous Pearlustre embossing powder in Lapis and Translucent, Zing! embossing powder in blue metallic finish, heat tool by The Paper Studio, rhinestones, and foam tape.

Punched Flower Birthday Card

Every crafting stash needs a couple of great flower punches. Punches make it easy to add detail to your card designs. This Punched Flower Birthday Card was made using the Blossom Punch and Mixed Bunch stamp set from Stampin' Up! The inspiration for this card came from the Tuesday Trigger: A Plate of Pretty Poppies from Moxie Fab World.

To create this card I punched the white cardstock, then stamped the coral cardstock and then framed the image.  The 3/4" circle is stamped but it's hard to tell from the photo.  I went with a monochromatic colour scheme to keep it simple.  Sometimes, I'm a big fan of the less is more approach.

Punched Flower Birthday Card Supplies: White cardstock, calypso coral cardstock, riding hood red cardstock and Everyday Enchantment designer series paper by Stampin' Up!, blossom punch and mixed bunch stamp set by Stampin' Up!, ColorBox chalk ink in warm red by Clearsnap, sentiment stamp by Hero Arts (classic messages, CL414), calypso coral twine by Stampin' Up!, Sticko dimensional sticker (dots pastels, 52-20021), and stampin' dimensionals.

Balloons Birthday Card

I was not happy with the card I made on Friday for the CAS-ual Friday challenge.  So today I made another one.  The challenge is to use two circles and the card Friday I used some cute little brads but yes they are round.  I asked my husband how many circles he saw on the card and he said eight.  Well, eight is not two.  This Balloons Birthday Card was made for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge and the Moxie Fab birthday challenge.  The balloons are paper pieced from some fun patterned paper scraps and the buttons are the two circles.  If your looking for more great card inspiration, click on the links and check out the other entries.
