Thank You Card with Tree

Well... after all those presents are unwrapped, sending a thank you card is always a good idea. So, I made this card for my parents using some of my older stash. At the rate I buy patterned paper I will never use it all and I know several of my stamps sets haven't been used enough. It felt good to use these neglected supplies. Most everything is retired by Stampin' Up! except for the Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink by Ranger. It's nothing fancy, just a simple Thank You Card with Tree. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!🌲

This card is entered into the anything goes challenge at Krafty Chicks.

Smile Card

Hello! I have a quick post to share this Smile Card I made with a new word die from Pink & Main. It was included free with my last order and free is always fun. As it turned out I had the perfect paper to use and it's from the Glitter Girl paper pad by American Crafts (2017). To add a little detail and sparkle three yellow circles were punched and topped with red sequins. It's just a simple and fun card that will hopefully make someone smile. I'm entering this card into the challenge at Modsquad to use something new. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!😊

Cats Merry Christmas Card

Merry Christmas! I hope the true meaning of the day brings you joy and peace. A lot of my joy comes from our four cats, so I made this Cats Merry Christmas Card for our feline veterinarian. Although, when the card was finished I didn't want to give it away. I colored the cat images to look like our cats and spent hours to complete the card, so I couldn't let it go. I ended up making a color copy and adhering it to a card base. Looking at them you couldn't tell the difference, you had to feel the difference with the raised die cuts. You may find me doing the same thing again next year. It saved a ton of time!

All images are by Lawn Fawn from the Christmas Dreams and Meow You Doin' stamp sets along with the coordinating dies. Copic markers were used to color the images and some glossy accents added to the star and chocolate milk glass. Some clear Stickles were added to the top of the stockings and everything was adhered flat. That's it! I'm so glad you stopped by and may the rest of your day be wonderful.🎄

Song of Snowflakes Card

Hello! I hope you're having a wonderful Christmas Eve. Today I'm sharing this Song of Snowflakes Card that I made for a friend. I really love this card! Initially, I had a hard time deciding on the patterned papers, but I'm happy with my blue choice. The papers are from the My Favorite Winter paper pad by Echo Park (2019). The stamp set used if by Newton's Nook and it's called Winter Birds. Copic markers were used to color the images and then the coordinating dies to cut them out. Back in 2018 I made a similar card and I almost made an exact duplicate, but I'm glad I changed things up. To finish off this card three punched snowflakes were added and everything was adhered flat. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!❄🐦❄

Peace on Earth Card - TMS Anything Goes

Hello! Are all your Christmas cards mailed? I have to admit that I made cards until the day I went to the post office. This Peace on Earth Card was my final card I made and it was mailed to my parents. I'm sharing it today featured in our annual Anything Goes challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. Originally I wanted to make something other than a card, but time just didn't allow. I do hope you have time to share your latest project with us at Tuesday Morning Sketches. It's the one time of year our challenge isn't sketch specific. You can find the challenge details and design team inspiration HERE. Thanks for stopping by and supporting my creativity!

The stamp set used on this card is called A Time of Peace from Unity Stamps.

Howl-idays Card - TMS #636

Oh my... this month is going by way too fast! I've been working on Christmas cards and made this Howl-idays Card using this weeks challenge sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. Instead of the traditional red and green, I decided to mix it up and use red and blue colors. The image is by Newton's Nook and it was colored with Copic markers then die cut with the coordinating die. Two patterned papers were cut the same size and then I cut the ends off two corners of the plaid paper to follow the sketch. The edges of the center panel were cut using a pair of Fiskars scissors and some tumbled glass distress ink added before adhering the image. To finish it off three red glimmer stickers were added and that's it. We would love for you to give the sketch a try and link it to the challenge. Drummer Bear Card

Good day! A couple of months back my niece and her high school band competed in the state marching band competition and they won 1st in their division. My niece plays the drums, so I made her this Drummer Bear Card to congratulate her on their accomplishment. Hopefully, she will overlook the fact that it took me this long to get it made.😊

The image is from the Party On stamp set by Winnie & Walter and I bought it during their going out of business sale a few years back. To color the image I used Copic markers and then used a stitched circle die to cut it out. The patterned paper has been in my stash for quite some time and it's called Playlist by Hampton Arts (2013). Three die cut silver stars were added for some sparkle and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Darkness Card - TMS #634

Well... it's time to say goodbye to November and it was a really rough month for me. Taking care of my hubby after his ankle reconstruction was a lot of hard work and sleepless nights. We go back to the doctor today and hopefully he will be able to put weight on his foot and walk again. I'm certainly ready to get back to a normal routine.

I'm pretty sure I made this Darkness Card for myself using this weeks sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. The sketch is designed by Melissa Craig and I used it for a mini slimline card which is 3.5" x 6". The sentiment is from Unity Stamps and it's called A Certain Darkness. Some stars were stamped and heat embossed with Wow! Glow-in-the-Dark embossing powder along with punched stars for the sketch detail. The star paper is from a Halloween paper pad and everything was adhered flat. Well, we would love for you to join us this week. Holiday Dearies Card

Hello! I hope you're having a great day. Today I'm sharing this Holiday Dearies Card I made using a stamp set from Unity Stamps. The deer were colored with Copic markers in varying brown tones. For this card I didn't want to use the traditional red and green, so I picked a blue patterned paper from the Snow Much Fun paper pad by Carta Bella (2019). The layout is very simple and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. That's it! Thanks for stopping by!

Poinsettia Christmas Cards

Hello! When it comes to Christmas stamp sets I truly love the Poinsettia Petals by Stampin' Up!. I've really enjoyed coloring with this set. Here are two Poinsettia Christmas Cards I made coloring the Poinsettias differently inspired by photos of Ice Punch Poinsettias. Thanksgiving Owl Card - TMS #631

Oh my... the end of the year is going by way too fast!!! My hubby had ankle reconstruction surgery last Monday and taking care of him is a full-time job. Thankfully I still have time to make cards!

This Thanksgiving Owl Card was made using this weeks sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. When I finished my Halloween cards I went straight to Christmas and left out Thanksgiving. So, I dug out the Bountiful Owl stamp set from Unity Stamps for this weeks sketch challenge. The design team created a variety of inspiration and we would love to see how you use the sketch. Christmas Frog Card

Hello crafty friends! If you're thinking that you've seen a card made with this image lately, then you are right I posted it (HERE) a couple of days ago. Since I had the Cuddlebug Frog stamp out I just had to make another Christmas Frog Card. The design for this card was cased from a card by Karen Maldonado. I love how she used a holly stamp at the top of the focal panel and her card is probably the reason I bought the stamp set. My holly stamp isn't as pretty but it's what I had, it's from the Happy Holly-Days stamp set by Stampin' Up!. The images were stamped with Memento black ink and colored with Copic markers. A die set by Newton's Nook called Frames & Flags was used to create the layers and that's it. Thanks for stopping by!🎄

Cuddlebug Frog Card - TMS #630

Good day! When it comes to making Christmas cards I tend to procraftinate, but I'm trying to do better. So, using this weeks sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches I made this Cuddlebug Frog Card. The image is from Unity Stamps and was colored with Copic markers. When it came to patterned paper selection I promise you I went through every Christmas 6 x 6 paper pad I have and finally decided to cut into the 12 x 12 Painted Christmas dsp by Stampin' Up!. It just had the look I wanted and I love all the different shades of green. We would love for you to join us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches! Just use the sketch for your creation and link up HERE by 8 pm EST on Sunday. The design team did a terrific job and I know they look forward to seeing what you create. Forest Christmas Cards

Hello! Now that Halloween is almost behind us I've been working on Christmas cards. These Forest Christmas Cards feature a darling stamp by Stampendous. I adore the critters peeking out of the tree. To color the image I used Copic markers and then Stickles was added to the snow for a little shimmer. Both patterned papers are from Echo Park. I only had one piece of the holly paper, so I picked red polka dot papers to coordinate. The Merry Christmas sentiment is from Hero Arts and was punched with an oval punch and matted to a scalloped oval both by Stampin' Up!. To finish the cards three small punched snowflakes were added and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!🎄

Snowman Card with Pink

Good day! After the hot summer here in Oklahoma I'm definitely ready for snow. We don't get a lot of snow, usually enough to cover the ground and make driving difficult, but I love watching it fall.

For this Snowman Card with Pink I used the Feeling Frosty stamp and die sets by Sunny Studio Stamps. The background trees were stenciled with the Sunny Studio Forest Trees stencil using tumbled glass distress ink. While making this card I made several little "oops", so I used the saying by Bob Ross "We don't make mistakes, just happy little accidents." To cover my happy little accident I added snowflakes to the four corners of the card. I had made a small rip in one corner of the pink frame and it was driving me crazy, but now you would never know it's there. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!⛄

Count Catula Card

Hello! The spooky night of Halloween is fast approaching and I couldn't resist making another card for this holiday. Last year I made a door hanging using the Count Catula image by Stampendous! along with several other images (click here), so today I made this Count Catula Card using the hanging as inspiration. The background was made using distress oxide inks. A creepy tree was die cut using a die from Simon Says Stamp and black grass die cut with the land borders die by Newton's Nook. Then I stamped and colored Count Catula by Stampendous and colored it with Copic markers. Several smaller stamps all from Hello Bluebird were stamped and colored and then everything was fussy cut. Everything was adhered flat and that's it! As you can see the cat is the star of this card, that grin is too cute to spook. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!🦇👻🎃

Good day! I have a quick post to share this Candy Corn Card I made using a stamp set by Newton's Nook. The design is based off a card from the Newton's Nook stamp launch back in 2018. Love and Light Christmas Card

When it comes to Christmas decorations the old fashion Christmas warms my heart. The Shiny Holidays stamp set by Unity Stamps has that old fashioned feel that I love. The candle image was colored with Copic markers and paired with a poinsettia paper from Memory Box (Garland Collection 2020). A scrap piece of gold paper was used for the sentiment and three small polka dot red banners added for detail and that's it. A simple and easy handmade Christmas card. Birthday Card with Dogs

Hello! This afternoon I made this Birthday Card with Dogs to remember my sister's birthday. She would have turned 45 today, but she passed away ten years ago. Making cards has helped me process my grief for the loss of both my siblings and several furry family members. It's been a wonderful form of therapy for me.

This Birthday Card with Dogs uses a stamp set by Newton's Nook that was the 2019 Stamptember exclusive at Simon Says Stamp. The images were stamped with Memento black ink and colored with Copic markers to coordinate with the patterned paper from the Birthday Wishes paper pad by Echo Park (2015). That's it and thanks for stopping by!

Hippo Christmas Card

Good day! One of my friends asked me to make her some Christmas cards, so I'm trying to make a couple each week. I hope she likes this Hippo Christmas Card because I think it turned out pretty cute. The hippo image is by Stampendous and it was colored with Copic markers then fussy cut. It did take some time trying to find the right papers. The stripe paper is retired from the Warmth & Cheer paper pad by Stampin' Up and the snowflake paper is from the Winter Market paper collection by Carta Bella. A photo frame die was used to give the hippo a place to rest. Three die cut snowflakes added for detail and a Joy die cut from Simon Says Stamp. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.❄❄❄

Halloween Pals Card

Hello! Are you counting down the days until Halloween? We started decorating our yard. In our neighborhood our Halloween decorations are always a big hit. It's fun to make the kids smile with decorations and of course candy. 🎃

Awhile back I colored these cute images from the Halloween Pals stamp set by Pretty Pink Posh. So, I decided to make an inky background using distress oxide inks and put them on a card. A black fence was die cut using a Lawn Fawn die called Little Picket Fence. The sentiment was heat embossed with silver embossing powder and two punched bats added to the sky. That's it. I've almost finished all my Halloween cards for this year. I plan to make a couple more and I'll be done. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day! 🦇

Hello! It's Tuesday again and we have another new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This weeks sketch is designed by Melissa Craig. When starting this For You Card I couldn't decide on theme or color. So, to make my decision I just grabbed a paper pad from my stash that had never been used and went with it. The paper pad is called Flea Market by Crate Paper from 2013. From that point the card evolved. We would love for you to join us this week. A piece of bark patterned paper from the Enchanted Harvest paper pad by Bo Bunny (2015) was selected and everything adhered flat. The butterfly was fussy cut and  positioned over the sentiment and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Too Legit Card

Good day! It's been awhile since I made my hubby a card. So, I used the fun Hip Hop Bunny stamp set by Taylored Expressions and made him this Too Legit Card. When I met my hubby back in college he had a yellow boom box and we still have it on a shelf in our garage. 😃 It only made sense that I colored the boom box yellow. The background was created using Salty Ocean distress ink and a triangle toss stencil by Taylored Expressions. A polka dot banner anchors the images and a silver die cut star was added next to the sentiment. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Happy Harvest Card

Hooray... Autumn/Fall has arrived!!! I've been counting down the days to cooler weather and we had a small front come through but the warmer weather is predicted to return. So, I will be patient and wait for the next cool front to arrive. 🍂

This Happy Harvest Card features two stamp sets by Lawn Fawn. The Happy Harvest stamp set and the Let's Go Nuts stamp set (squirrel). All images were stamped with Memento black ink and colored with Copic markers. The blue sky was made using Tumbled Glass distress ink and the ink smooshing technique. A frame was die cut using a piece of Lawn Fawn patterned paper and an Avery Elle reverse pinked die. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping, although I may keep this one for myself. Well, that about sums it up. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.
