Meow-ing in the Rain Card

Good day! It's been rainy here in Oklahoma for the last couple of days, which we definitely needed. We don't have a lawn irrigation system, so I always welcome the rain. 🌧🌨🌧

Last week I started coloring this Newton's Rainy Day Trio image and then life happened and it just went unfinished. So, I sat down yesterday and did my best to finish the coloring. I decided to paper piece the umbrella because I wanted a pattern. The polka dot paper by Bo Bunny matched the purple kitties outfit which made me happy. For the background I used distress oxide inks on mixed media paper. Then the raindrops were made using a cutting plate I bought on clearance at Taylored Expressions. The sentiment was added using Jet Black StazOn ink and everything was adhered flat. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Cat Missing You - TMS #603

Hello! It's been sad around our house for the last few days, our 16 year old cat crossed the rainbow bridge on Friday. Our house doesn't feel the same without her and we miss her very much. So, this week I used the Tuesday Morning Sketch to make something for a scrapbook. It's the size of an A2 card, but there is no card base. To take advantage of the rainbows in the patterned paper I swapped the triangle corner. The design team has created some wonderful inspiration and we would love for you to join us this week. Click HERE for all the challenge details. Thanks for stopping by!

Floral Birthday Card - TMS #602

Oops... I've forgotten what day it is! With my hubby home healing from surgery and my chore load doubled I'm doing good to remember my name.  😊 So, here is a quick post to share my card for this weeks Tuesday Morning Sketch by Melissa Craig. It's a square card and mine is 5.25" square, although you could make it into an A2 card if you like. All the supplies used are by Stampin' Up! and they are all retired items. I bought the Everything Is Rosy Product Medley when it went on clearance and I finally decided to use it. The sentiment is from the Birthday Blooms stamp set and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. We would love for you to join us this week and share your take on the sketch. Congratulations Card

Good day! A teammate at Tuesday Morning Sketches used the mini slimline card sketch with flowers and I loved it. You can see her card HERE. So, I decided to break open the Everything is Rosy kit from Stampin' Up! (retired) and play with the sketch again. This Congratulations Card was made for my niece who won a title in our hometown beauty pageant. So, I wanted to make her something pretty. 🌸🌸🌸

Using the sketch made this card come together really quickly. The only stamping was the sentiment, so all I had to do was cut the paper and adhere the layers. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

How Nice Card

Happy Friday! I have a quick post to share this Now Nice Card I made using the Inky Paws challenge colors to use: orange, yellow, green and white. I've also added a sentiment to play along at Creative Knockouts. The mouse image is from the Garden Mice stamp set and the little butterflies are from the Daffodils stamp set both by Newton's Nook. Copic markers were used to color the images and the coordinating dies were used to cut them out. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day! πŸ¦‹

Sympathy Card with Trees

Good day! Today I'm sharing a Sympathy Card with Trees that I made using the No Better Words sentiment kit by Unity Stamps. The card is for a friend who lost her father, so I wanted to make a more masculine sympathy card. First I inked up a piece of white cardstock using Peeled Paint, Tumbled Glass and Broken China distress inks. Then I stamped the sentiment, trees and birds with Memento black ink. For the clouds I used Smokey Slate ink by Stampin' Up!. The inked panel was adhered to a retired piece of patterned paper by Stampin' Up! and then adhered to the plaid paper from the retired Plaid Tidings dsp by Stampin' Up!. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. So glad you dropped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Mini Slimline Card - TMS #601

Hello! It's been a little crazy this past week at my house. My hubby had a total knee replacement last Monday and I've been taking care of him. Right now I'm feeling very sleep deprived and ready for things to get back to normal. πŸ₯±

This weeks sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches is a break from the normal A2 card. It's a Mini Slimline Card sketch designed by me. The dimensions are 3.5" x 6". I do hope you will give it a try and join us this week. I'm giving away a prize of 6 colored mini slimline envelopes by Taylored Expressions to a random player. So, don't forget to link your creation by 8 pm EST on Sunday HERE. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

The zebra image is from the Zany Zebra stamp set by Stampin' Up! (it's retiring soon) and it was lightly colored pink with Copic markers. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.
