Thinking of You Card

Hooray for Friday! This week I received my new Paper Pumpkin kit in the mail and it's called Bouquet of Hope. So, I thought I would end the month sharing this Thinking of You Card that I made using the kit. The kit comes with directions, but I revised one of the designs and did my own thing. I don't use vellum very often and the pieces provided are lovely. Since there is no stamping (floral images are provided in the kit) on this card it came together pretty quickly. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Butterfly Wreath Card

Hello! After all the cold weather and snow we've had lately I'm ready for Spring. The blooming trees, flowers and eventually the return of the butterflies. 🦋🦋🦋 Something to look forward too during these lonely days at home.

To make this Butterfly Wreath Card I used an image by Reverse Confetti and it was colored with Copic markers. Once the image was colored it was die cut with the coordinating die. I love using gingham, so I found a tiny check that worked well. A piece of white cardstock was embossed and layered on top of the gingham. The image and sentiment were adhered flat and that's it. I enjoy sending Thinking About You or On My Mind cards because they are unexpected and uplifting. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Hedgie St. Patrick's Card - TMS #594

Dia dhuit to my Irish friends or hello if that suits you better. Today at Tuesday Morning Sketches we start our 2021 sketches with one designed by Melissa Craig. Since St. Patrick's Day is getting closer I decided to make a cute card to send to my youngest niece. My family does have an Irish history, so I make a few cards to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. The Hedgie image used on this card is by Bugaboo Stamps and it was colored with Copic markers.  The fun papers are from the Lots O' Luck paper pad by Doodlebug Designs (2018) and the shamrocks were punched and adhered to 1" circles. That's it! I hope you will join us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches. Click HERE for all the challenge details and design team inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Snow-one Like You Card

Good day crafty friends! I hope wherever you are that you are staying warm. We received an additional 4" of snow last night on top of the 4" we already had. At least the outside temperature is warmer that it has been for the last 10 days, so I'm not complaining. ❄❄❄

To make this Snow-one Like You Card I used the Snowman Greetings stamp set by Newton's Nook. Copic markers were used to color the image and then it was die cut with the coordinating die. A little squirrel from the Sweetheart Tails stamp set along with two die cut trees also by Newton's Nook were added. The trees and snow were painted with sugar cube glitter paint by Martha Stewart Crafts. Everything was adhered to a piece of patterned paper from the Snowflake Splendor dsp by Stampin' Up!. Thanks for stopping by.😊

Snow Thanks Card - TMS #593

Hello! This week at Tuesday Morning Sketches we have one last 2020 sketch to revisit and we are playing with Tammy's favorite sketch. It was challenge #548 from March 31, 2020 and it was designed by former design team member LJ. The first time I followed the sketch exactly, this time I mixed it up using snowflakes. We would love for you to join us this week! For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. I look forward to seeing what you create. ❄❄❄

Here in Oklahoma we've had a very unusual cold snap and it's been below freezing here since last Monday. At first we got ice and now we have about 5" of snow on the ground with more on the way. The cold and snow definitely influenced my design choices. To make this Snow Thanks Card I used patterned paper from the retired Snowflake Splendor dsp. The sentiment is from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set and the snowflake die cuts are from the So Many Snowflakes die set. Three sequins were added to finish the sketch and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Strong Card - TMS #592

Hello! It's time to start another revisited sketch from 2020 this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches we are playing with Patti's favorite sketch. It was originally posted on August 11, 2020 and it's one I designed. The first time around my card was girly, so this time I went masculine. This Strong Card features a piece of woodgrain paper to signify something strong along with the sentiment from Unity Stamps called Strong is your only choice. Some blue polka dot paper from my scrap bin was added along with the three circle elements and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. That's it! We would love for you to join us this week! Gnome Card

Good day crafty friends! Here is a Gnome Card I made just for fun. The image was colored awhile back during a 30-day Coloring Challenge. Copic markers were used to color the Krankle image by Whipper Snapper Designs. The patterned papers were selected out of my scrap bin to coordinate with the image colors. A sentiment by Unity Stamps from their With You I'm Home sentiment kit was added. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a warm and happy day!

Rose Just Because Card - TMS #591

Hello! This week at Tuesday Morning Sketches we are revisiting Melissa's favorite sketch from 2020 and she selected a sketch designed by Debbie Foster. It originally posted on February 25, 2020 and you can see all the wonderful creations on that post HERE. This time around I decided on using the Roses stamp by Newton's Nook and colored the image with Copic markers. The image went perfectly with papers by Crate Paper from their Little Bo Peep paper pad (2012), one of the first 6x6 paper pads I ever purchased. The sentiment was sitting on my craft desk already stamped, so it was meant to be. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. We would love for you to join us this week!
