Canine Sympathy Card

Hello and happy Friday! Do you ever get into a crafting slump? Lately I've had a hard time getting motivated to make anything. It hasn't stopped me from buying supplies but using them is a different story. Well, I'm sure it's temporary.

This Canine Sympathy Card was made for a coworker who recently lost her dog. I've used this design before, but if you've followed my blog for a while then you know I love to see the same design in different colors. You can see the original card HERE. The colors for this card was selected to coordinate with the heart dsp which I pulled from my scrap bin. The dog silhouette was cut with a Cricut machine and the flower is a Spellbinders die cut. That's pretty much it. Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Blessings Card - TMS #505

Hello and happy Tuesday! If you live in the United States I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. I will admit I didn't leave the house yesterday, it was nice to stay home. Now today is the start of a new sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches and I hope you will join us this week. After choosing my sentiment I decided to rotated the sketch vertically, to fit the flowers they couldn't be arched as drastically as the sketch shows. So, feel free to try the sketch with your creative alterations. You have until 8 pm (EST) on Sunday to link your creation. Click HERE for all the challenge details and design team inspiration.

The stamped flowers were made using Guava ink and the Fab Flowers stamp set along with coordinating dies all by Lawn Fawn. Some fun polka dot paper from the Pretty Things paper pad by My Mind's Eye was matted to a piece of Wild Wasabi cardstock by Stampin' Up!. The sentiment area was cut with a Cricut machine along with the Storybook cartridge and then was stamped with a birthday sentiment by Stampabilities. That's it! So glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day.

After the Rain Card

This week continues to be crazy and stormy here in Oklahoma. We had several nights of tornado warnings, with tornados causing damage throughout the state. Too much rain has fallen and the rivers are swelling to the point the dams are releasing water and it's flooding the surrounding land. Some homes have been swept away by rising waters, others have flood damage and the saga isn't over. More rains could compound the issue. Our home is safe for now but if the waters rise more than expected it could affect us. At this point I'm praying the rains stop and the flood waters recede. Additional prayers are welcome!

During the week our local weather teams have worked extra hard to keep us safe and stayed on the air during tornado warnings for hours. I made this After the Rain Card thinking about sending it to our favorite Chief Meteorologist Dan Threlkeld and his team at Channel 8 as a thank you card. The image is called Umbrella Mouse by Bugaboo Stamps and it was colored with Copic markers. All papers are by Authentique from the Refreshed Collection (2018) and some stitching was added for detail. Some Nuvo drops were added to the umbrella and sequins added for sparkle. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Little Moments Card - TMS #504

Happy Tuesday! We had a rainy and stormy night last night, so today I'm hoping for some sunshine. If it's raining where you are then it's a great excuse to stay inside and play along with our new weekly sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. To help inspire you the design team have created some lovely examples. You have until 8 pm EST on Sunday to link your creation. Click HERE for all the challenge details. We hope you will join us and play along with this weeks sketch.

When I started making this Little Moments Card I was in the mood to make something positive and cheerful. So, I selected a recently purchased stamp set from Unity Stamps called Little Moments Big Life by Lisa Arana. Then I picked papers from the Hello Sunshine paper pad by Fancy Pants Designs (2017). Copic markers were used to color the image and the sentiment stamp was stamped using Memento black ink. Since the focal image was more rectangle in design it's taller than the square in the sketch layout and I used a straight element in place of the zig zag. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. So glad you stopped by! Wishing you a happy and crafty day.

Congrats Card with Star

Hello! Hope all is well in your world. Last week was crazy for me, so I didn't do any card making. This past weekend a young boy we know along with his team won the Lacrosse finals in their age group. They worked hard all season and did a great job. My hubby and I decided to send him a card to acknowledge his accomplishment and this Congrats Card with Star is what I made for him. The colors were selected to match the team colors. The star was cut with a Cricut machine and the Congrats sentiment is from The Paper Studio. All papers are from my scrap bin and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Our Thoughts Card - TMS #503

Greetings crafty friends and happy Tuesday! Today I'm thrilled that Tuesday Morning Sketches is featuring a sketch that I designed. There is lots of potential to use fun patterned papers with this card. I can't wait to see what you create! You have until 8 pm EST to link your creation to the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog. Click HERE for all the challenge details and design team inspiration.

When I started making this Our Thoughts Card I probably went through all my 6x6 paper pads looking for the perfect purples. Now, I can tell you I have very little purple to choose from. Although it's my favorite color, either the shades didn't match or it didn't have the right look. So, this is what I ended up choosing by pulling colors from the Rosey with a Flower image by Fred She Said. The sentiment from the Lasting Lily stamp set by Stampin' Up! (2019 Sale-A-Bration) was stamped using black Memento ink. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Light in the Heart Card

Hello and thanks for stopping by! This Light in the Heart Card was made using a stamp set from Unity Stamps designed by Lisa Arana. When I came across this set I pretty much fell in love with the sentiment. "Beauty is not in the face: beauty is a light in the heart." I just love it! After stamping the image it was colored with Copic markers then die cut with a stitched circle die. All patterned papers are from the Lucky Charm paper pad by American Crafts (2012). Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. Wishing you a happy and crafty day!

Caffeinated Happiness Card

Happy Friday! Sometimes life doesn't go as planned and sometimes it's for the best. It's been a crazy week for me but I finally had time to make a card for the Spring/Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop. The image is by Jessica Lynn Original and I paper pieced the coffee/tea cup and then colored the cactus with Stampin' Blends markers in Green Apple with a touch of Lovely Lipstick for the little flowers. I debated about a sentiment and finally came up with Caffeinated Happiness which I made using the computer. The scalloped frame around the image was made using a die cut by Taylored Expressions. All the papers were found in my scrap bin and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Encouragement Card - TMS #502

Well, it's another happy Tuesday!!! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will join the challenge this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches. It features one of my favorites shapes... the circle. Circles just make me happy! It's been a while since I've made a masculine card, so that's the direction I took with this Encouragement Card. To allow for the sentiment I turned the sketch horizontal and placed the circles where I thought they looked best. I'm looking forward to how you will use the sketch. For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. You have until 8 pm EST to link your creation to the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

Mother's Day Card

Recently one of my friends asked me to make her a Mother's Day Card and this is the card I made for her. The design is based from a previous card I made, but I have changed up the colors to make it different. It features patterned paper from the Secret Garden paper pad by Bo Bunny, embossing, lace and paper flowers. The sentiment stamp is by Hero Arts and was stamped onto white cardstock with Rich Razzleberry ink by Stampin' Up!. I think it turned out lovely and I hope her mother loves it. Wishing you a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!
