Watercolor Rose Card

It's getting late but I really wanted to share my latest card with you! This Watercolor Rose Card was made using this weeks Tuesday Morning Sketch. I love the simplicity of the design and the oval focal point. I didn't use a sentiment but I imagine this card will be used for Mother's Day. To watercolor the rose I stamped the Inkadinkado image onto watercolor paper using StazOn Jet Black ink. I used my Aqua Painter brushes by Stampin' Up! with Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Gumball Green and Old Olive classic stampin' pads. The scalloped oval was die cut with a Spellbinders die using Pool Party card stock. I used green and gold Smooch Spritz on light yellow card stock and the punched the elegant butterfly. It added a really nice shimmer and then I added the three small pearls. The baroque patterned paper is from my stash and the polka dot green is from the Epic Day dsp by Stampin' Up!. Well, that about sums it up. Thanks for stopping by!

Little Lamb Easter Card

Good evening! I wanted to make sure my parents received their Little Lamb Easter Card in the mail before I posted it. They raise sheep and every Spring we have a pasture full of baby lambs. They primarily raise Dorset sheep but they have a few others as well. The lamb stamp on this card is by Stampabilities and the sentiment stamp is by Hero Arts. Using PEARLustre Amethyst embossing powder by Stampendous!  I heat embossed the sentiment. The patterned papers are from a freebie paper pack from a magazine. To bring out the yellow in the flower centers I added a layered embosslits butterfly with a little Stickles for sparkle. Well, that about sums it up. I want to thank you for stopping by and I wish you and your family a Blessed and Happy Easter.

Basket Bunny Easter Card

Hello! I finally finished with my Easter cards and just in time to pop them in the mail today. It seems I always procrastinate with holiday cards. However, there is an element of fun to having a deadline that I have to meet.

These Basket Bunny Easter Cards both feature an image from Fred She Said called Bunneh!. The images are pre-colored which helps speed things along when you don't have much coloring time! I kept the designs simple to minimize layering and to make sure no extra postage would be required. The patterned papers on the pastel card are by Paper Pizzazz and the yellow and purple card papers are by DCWV. I used the Scalloped edge punch and Boho Blossom punch by Stampin' Up! on both cards and cut the ovals with oval dies. Thanks for stopping by and I wish you and your family a Blessed and Happy Easter!!!

Sweet Chick Easter Card

Hello! I hope you are having a lovely day! This morning I ignored a few chores to spend some time in my craft room. It's "justifiable" since I have several more Easter cards I need to make. Right? Over the weekend I was going through a stack of printed digital images and found this Sweet Chick already cut out, matted and ready to use. The image is by Fred She Said and came pre-colored. The patterned papers are from DCWV and the Happy Easter sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set by Stampin' Up! This Sweet Chick Easter Card is my favorite from the Easter cards I've made this year. I love the yellow, purple and green together! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Cute Egg Easter Wishes Card

Good morning! I was searching through my digital Easter images and found this really cute egg with a bear from Crafty Sentiments Designs. The image is pre-colored which helped me select the colors for this card. The background yellow paper is by DCWV and the red polka dots is from Stampin' Up! I used a couple of die cuts, my Itty Bitty flower punch and I heat embossed the sentiment. The final touch were three candy dots in the center of the flowers. The layout is one I use a lot, especially when I don't have time to come up with something new. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!

Easter Basket Kitty Card

Good afternoon! I have to admit that my crafting mojo has been running on low lately!!! However, this morning I was inspired by one of my fellow crafters, KT Fit Kitty, with her Easter Chick Card. I love the colors she used and the cute image by Gerda Steiner. I immediately purchased this adorable Silly Easter Kitten in Basket image to make my Easter Basket Kitty Card. I colored the image with my Copic markers and used patterned papers from Echo Park. The layout for the card comes from a sketch I found at Sassy Studio Designs. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Colorful Easter Card

This bright and Colorful Easter Card was made for my teenage niece. Monkeys are not the traditional Easter animal, however I love the fun image called Changito Chick by Stampendous! I colored the image with my Copic markers and used patterned paper from The Paper Studio. The Happy Easter sentiment is from the dollar bin from several years ago. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Hop Along Bunny Easter Card

This afternoon I realized there is only 17 days until Easter and I have made zero cards for this holiday. Then I realized I only have 12 days to put them in the mail. That means I need to make a card every day to have enough for my family. No pressure! To get started, I made this Hop Along Bunny Easter Card using a digital image and sentiment by Meljen's Designs. I colored the image using my Copic markers. The patterned paper is from the Spring 6 x 6 collection by American Crafts. I love the green in this collection!!! (Is it crazy to go buy another paper stack to hoard away)??? There were several punches used on this card: bitty butterfly punch, scallop edge punch, scallop oval punch and the boho blossoms punch all by Stampin' Up!. I now have one Easter card with 11 more to go. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will stop by again soon!!!

Cat Trio Birthday Card

It's been a crazy week and I can't believe it's April already! Time sure does seem to be flying by quicker with every passing day. I guess my mom was right because she told me this would happen when I "got older." Speaking of getting older, we have a ton of birthdays in April and May and so I decided to make this Cat Trio Birthday Card. The image is by Penny Black and I recycled it from something I saved.  The patterned paper is from DCWV. For the birthday sentiment I used one of my favorites by Hero Arts and it fits nicely inside a 1 1/4" circle. The flourish was cut with my Cricut machine and the flower was made using the Petite Petals stamp and punch by Stampin' Up! Well, that's about it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!
