Cats Merry Christmas Card

Merry Christmas! I hope the true meaning of the day brings you joy and peace. A lot of my joy comes from our four cats, so I made this Cats Merry Christmas Card for our feline veterinarian. Although, when the card was finished I didn't want to give it away. I colored the cat images to look like our cats and spent hours to complete the card, so I couldn't let it go. I ended up making a color copy and adhering it to a card base. Looking at them you couldn't tell the difference, you had to feel the difference with the raised die cuts. You may find me doing the same thing again next year. It saved a ton of time!

All images are by Lawn Fawn from the Christmas Dreams and Meow You Doin' stamp sets along with the coordinating dies. Copic markers were used to color the images and some glossy accents added to the star and chocolate milk glass. Some clear Stickles were added to the top of the stockings and everything was adhered flat. That's it! I'm so glad you stopped by and may the rest of your day be wonderful.🎄

Happy Harvest Card

Hooray... Autumn/Fall has arrived!!! I've been counting down the days to cooler weather and we had a small front come through but the warmer weather is predicted to return. So, I will be patient and wait for the next cool front to arrive. 🍂

This Happy Harvest Card features two stamp sets by Lawn Fawn. The Happy Harvest stamp set and the Let's Go Nuts stamp set (squirrel). All images were stamped with Memento black ink and colored with Copic markers. The blue sky was made using Tumbled Glass distress ink and the ink smooshing technique. A frame was die cut using a piece of Lawn Fawn patterned paper and an Avery Elle reverse pinked die. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping, although I may keep this one for myself. Well, that about sums it up. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Wild Day Card

Hello and happy Wednesday! It always takes awhile for new products to arrive with the slower shipping times, but my new Lawn Fawn order finally arrived. So, I made this Wild Day Card using the Toucan Do It stamp set. All images were stamped with Memento black ink and colored with Copic markers. The polka dot paper is from the new Watercolor Wishes petite paper pack. This card is one I'll probably never give away, I just love it and it took forever to make. 😊 Maybe, someday, I'll make a duplicate to give away. Do you keep your favorite cards? Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Big Hugs Card

Good day crafty friends! My hubby went back to work a couple of weeks ago after having knee replacement surgery. I thought I would feel more creative once he went back to work, but I didn't. So, I binge watched the entire tv series of Covert Affairs. When I found the show on the Peacock streaming channel it said there was only 27 days to watch for free, so I took them up on this challenge and watched the entire series (5 seasons) in 27 days. I had never binge watched a show to this extent before, but at the end of each episode I wanted to watch the next one. Now, I'm done and I can get back to making cards.😊

This Big Hugs Card was made using products by Lawn Fawn. I love the sending big hugs die and was inspired by a card made by Audrey Tokach. The images were colored with Copic markers and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. I'm entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (Anything Goes) and the Cute Card Thursday Challenge (Anything Goes). Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Good day crafty friends! It's time to start another fun sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This weeks sketch is designed by Melissa Craig and we hope you're inspired to play along. I had several ideas on how to use the sketch and finally settled on using the chameleons by Lawn Fawn. They fit nicely into the focal areas and I like the way they are looking at each other. There are lots of possibilities with this weeks sketch and I look forward to seeing all the different creative ideas shared. For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. Kitty Dreams Christmas Card

Hello! Each year I make a couple of Christmas cards using non-traditional colors. This Kitty Dreams Christmas Card is for my youngest niece. The images and sentiment are from the Christmas Dreams stamp set by Lawn Fawn and everything was colored with Copic markers. After coloring the coordinating dies were used to cut the images and then everything was adhered flat. The patterned papers are by Doodlebug Designs, snowflakes from the Winter Wonderland paper pad and the purple gingham from Petite Prints paper pad. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day! 🎄

Fall Acorn Card - TMS #576

Hello! It's time to start another new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches and this weeks sketch was designed by Melissa Craig. I decided to use the new Big Acorn stamp by Lawn Fawn for this Fall Acorn Card. Five acorns were stamped using Memento black ink, colored with Copic markers and then die cut with the coordinating die. Green and brown look good together, so I decided on a green plaid paper by Lawn Fawn. The sentiment is by Impression Obsession and was stamped with Memento black ink. Before adhering to the card base I used Java chalk ink around the edge of the paper and that's it. We would love for you to join us this week! You have until 8 pm EST to link your creation to the challenge. For all the details and design team inspiration click HERE. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Fall Card with Squirrels

Hello and happy World Card Making Day! I hope you have time to make a card or two today. My crafty mojo has been pretty low lately, but that hasn't stopped me from buying new stamps and supplies. One of my latest purchases included the new Let's Go Nuts stamp set and Tree Before 'n Afters by Lawn Fawn. Aren't these squirrels super cute? I just adore this stamp set! So, today I decided to make this Fall Card with Squirrels. The images were colored with Copic markers and then die cut with the coordinating dies. To make the sky background I used Tumbled Glass distress ink and used the smooshing technique. The grass was cut with a tiny wavy scalloped die by Simon Says Stamp. Once everything was cut out I assembled the scene and adhered it to a piece of patterned paper from the Into The Woods Remix paper pad by Lawn Fawn. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. I'm glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Significant Otter Card

Good day! I have a quick post to share this Significant Otter Card that I made for a wildlife rescue here in Oklahoma. Early in the Spring they took in a baby male otter, but they didn't have any other otters to raise him with or release with him. Then last month they got a phone call from a rescue in Kansas that had a young female otter and they decided to introduce them. Long story short.... they met, fell in love and are now released together. They have each other and it was the answer to increase the odds of their long term survival. 💚

To make this card I used the Christmas Like Not Otter stamp set by Lawn Fawn which was the STAMPtember collaboration with Simon Says Stamp from 2017. The images were colored with Copic markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. For the water a blue inky background was made with mixed media paper and Distress Oxide inks. The grassy paper is by The Paper Studio and to frame the otters a wavy center was cut out using a Wavy Pierced die by Whimsy Stamps. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Hoppy Holidays Card

Hello and happy Friday! It's the last day of July and I have a Christmas in July card to share. This Hoppy Holidays Card was made using the Snow Bunnies stamp set by Lawn Fawn which was last years STAMPtember exclusive at Simon Says Stamp. I adore bunnies, so I didn't hesitate to purchase this set. This was my first attempt using it and while I was making this card I talked myself into keeping it. That's a problem I have all too often. Anyway... I'll add it to my stash and maybe one day I'll give it away.

The images were colored with a mix of Copic and Stampin' Blends markers by Stampin' Up!. After coloring the images were die cut with the coordinating dies. The papers are from the Winter Wonderland paper pad by Doodlebug Designs and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Smiling Flowers Card - TMS #539

Hello! This week at Tuesday Morning Sketches we are revisiting Lisa's favorite sketch from 2019 and she selected sketch #507. You can see the original post from last June HERE. For my card I decided to use the same stamp set that I used back in June, On The Mend by Lawn Fawn, but this time I used the Smiling Flowers stamp instead of the turtle. The floral patterned paper is from the Down on the Farm paper pad by Doodlebug Design. To top it off I used a Sending Smiles top edge die by Impression Obsession from the Everyday Top Edgers set. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. We would love for you to join us this week! For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. Hello and happy Tuesday! Today is the start of new sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This weeks sketch is super easy and versatile for holidays or everyday. I decided to make a recovery card using the On The Mend stamp set by Lawn Fawn. This is one category of cards that I don't have many in my stash. Can you tell the background paper is little pills? It's by Doodlebug Designs and is from the So Much Pun 6x6 pad (2018). I'm looking forward to see how you use this weeks sketch! You have until Sunday at 8 pm EST to link your creation. Birthday Blessings Card - TMS #505

Hello and happy Tuesday! If you live in the United States I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. I will admit I didn't leave the house yesterday, it was nice to stay home. Now today is the start of a new sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches and I hope you will join us this week. After choosing my sentiment I decided to rotated the sketch vertically, to fit the flowers they couldn't be arched as drastically as the sketch shows. So, feel free to try the sketch with your creative alterations. You have until 8 pm (EST) on Sunday to link your creation. Click HERE for all the challenge details and design team inspiration.

The stamped flowers were made using Guava ink and the Fab Flowers stamp set along with coordinating dies all by Lawn Fawn. Some fun polka dot paper from the Pretty Things paper pad by My Mind's Eye was matted to a piece of Wild Wasabi cardstock by Stampin' Up!. The sentiment area was cut with a Cricut machine along with the Storybook cartridge and then was stamped with a birthday sentiment by Stampabilities. That's it! So glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Caring Thoughts Card - TMS #495

Hello and happy Tuesday! Today is the start of a new sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This weeks sketch was designed by Melissa Craig and it really is lovely. It took me awhile to decide which floral stamp set to use, but I finally decided on Fab Flowers by Lawn Fawn. We can't wait to see how you use this weeks sketch. You have until Sunday at 8 pm EST to link your creation. Click HERE for all the challenge details and wonderful design team inspiration.

Normally I love mixing patterned papers, but I couldn't come up with the right mix until I decided on the Wood Textures paper by Stampin' Up!. The paper has different shades that worked well with the sketch and it lets the flowers be the main focus. I really like how it turned out. The Caring Thoughts sentiment is retired by Stampin' Up! and it was just sitting on my craft desk waiting to be used. It's nice when things work out like that. Well, thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Sloth Hang in There Card

This time of years isn't always cheerful. I know a lot of people who struggle with the holidays, myself included. Right now my brother is going through a difficult time and I didn't get to see him over Christmas. In efforts to lift his spirits I made this Sloth Hang in There Card for him.

The sloth image is by Lawn Fawn from the Hang In There stamp set and it was die cut with the coordinating dies. Copic markers were used to color the image and distress inks in Tumbled Glass and Chipped Sapphire for the oval area. The patterned paper is from the Land of the Sahara paper pad by The Paper Studio. An oval frame accents the focal area and that's it, simple and easy to ship. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Fab Flowers Birthday Card

Hello and happy Wednesday! Today would have been my sister's 42nd birthday and although she has passed on I made this card in honor of her birthday. I had just started making cards before she passed away in 2011. The only handmade card I gave her was for Valentine's Day the month before she passed. Making cards became a form of therapy after she passed away and it continues to help me cope with everyday stresses.

For this Fab Flowers Birthday Card I selected colors I thought my sister would like for the flowers and used the Fab Flowers stamp set by Lawn Fawn. The Happy Birthday die cut is by Stampin' Up! and Blueberry Bushel cardstock was used. It took awhile to get the die cuts positioned and everything was adhered flat. The background paper is a subtle gray woodgrain and frayed burlap distress ink was sponged along the edges. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Otter Anniversary Card

It's been a few days since my last post but it's been pretty busy around my house. This week my hubby and I are celebrating our Twentieth Wedding Anniversary. It has really gone by fast!!! I wanted to make a special card to celebrate and I bought the Christmas Like No Otter stamp set for Simon Says Stamp by Lawn Fawn for the occasion. We love to visit the otters when go to the local Tulsa Zoo. They are fun and charismatic creatures!

To make this card I started with a piece of watercolor paper and oxide inks in Broken China and Salty Ocean for the water and Antique Linen and Vintage Photo for the sand. After inking the paper it was spritzed with water and a heat gun used to speed the drying process. Then the panel was die cut using a scalloped frame by Taylored Expressions. The outside frame was then darkened with more Salty Ocean distress ink. I went back and stamped the waves and little circles in the water. Then the otters and images were stamped with Memento black ink and colored with Copic markers. They were then die cut with the coordinating dies. The sand was die cut with a small wavy scallop stitches die by Simon Says Stamp. Everything was adhered flat to a piece of natural cardstock and that's it! Thanks for stopping by!
