Four Paws Thank You Card

Hello crafty friends! I have been very busy this month taking care of our senior cat Mr. Tommy. Three weeks ago he had a lung lobectomy to remove a small tumor. The surgery went well, but my hubby decided we had to stay up with him for the first week. So, we took shifts sleeping and making sure he was okay. To say the least... I was very sleep deprived! Thankfully he is recovering nicely and is getting back to his normal routine. 

This Four Paws Thank You Card was made for the surgeon and hospital staff to thank them. The inside reads "for a job well done!!!". It features the Talk To the Paw stamp set from Unity Stamps, the paws were colored with Copic markers and then fussy-cut. The sentiment was made with the computer and I accented it with a little heart. Some fun striped and polka dot paper was used and everything was adhered flat. That's it. Snarky Cat Card

Happy International Cat Day! These days always sneak up on me, I wish they were printed on my calendar. After reading a few posts this morning, I decided to make this Snarky Cat Card to mark the day. We share our home with cats and I do adore each of them. There have been times that if they could roll their eyes at me, they would have. 😸

The hardest part making this card was deciding which papers to use. I finally settled on neutral tones and then added an embossed blue strip for a pop of color. The cat image and sentiment are from the Snarky Cat stamp set by Stampers Anonymous/Tim Holtz Collection. A few blue sequins were added and that's it. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. Sending Smiles Card

Good day! I have a quick post to share this Sending Smiles Card I made using the challenge colors at Inky Paws. The challenge colors are: Crimson Red, Cobalt Blue, Turquoise Blue and White. I decided to use mainly blues with red as an accent color. The image is called Newton's Blooms by Newton's Nook and it was colored with Copic markers and die cut with the coordinating die. A scalloped oval die by Newton's Nook was also used. The sending smiles sentiment is from the Sending Hugs stamp set by Newton's Nook. A piece of blue polka dot paper was used for the background and everything was adhered flat. So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.😊

Merry Merry Merry Card

Good day crafty friends! Now that all my cards have been mailed and received I will be sharing a few more Christmas cards over the next few days. This Merry Merry Merry Card was made using last weeks sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. Traditional colors were used with some fun papers and the Merry word stamp and die is from Recollections. Black Cat Halloween Card

Good day! So far I have about half the cards made for Halloween that I need to send to family and friends. I really enjoy using the Hey There Pumpkin stamp set by Unity Stamps. It's super easy to color and I like the size of the image. For this Black Cat Halloween Card I only used scrap patterned papers that were on my craft desk. Second Hand Animals Card

Well... hello! Many of you know that I recently adopted an 11 year old cat from the shelter (to catch up on the story click HERE). After bringing him home it was apparent he was very sick. He spent 7 days at the veterinarian clinic and thankfully he is feeling much better. There is still some sneezing, so we can't introduce him to our other cats but with each passing day he improves. His former family surrendered him to the city shelter and the Tulsa Humane Society pulled him and placed him for adoption. To thank the Humane Society for giving him a second chance I made them this Second Hand Animals Card. The sentiment is from the Adopt Don't Shop Cats stamp set by Whimsy Stamps and the image is called Elsie and Butterflies by Wild Rose Studio. Copic markers were used to color the image and everything was adhered flat to patterned papers from the Bella paper pack by Wild Rose Studio. Pumpkin Night Card

Good day! Halloween is only 88 days away. Still plenty of time to make Halloween Cards. Since I tend to procrastinate, I'm starting early this year. I usually make about a dozen cards to send to family and friends. Maybe I'll send a few more cards this year and spread a little more Halloween happiness. 🎃

This Pumpkin Night Card features an image by Stampendous! called Pumpkin Night and it was colored with Copic markers. The Happy Halloween sentiment is from a retired stamp set by Stampin' Up! called Spooky Sweets. Glossy accents were added to all the eyes and clear Wink of Stella was used on the stars. That's it! Wild Day Card

Hello and happy Wednesday! It always takes awhile for new products to arrive with the slower shipping times, but my new Lawn Fawn order finally arrived. So, I made this Wild Day Card using the Toucan Do It stamp set. All images were stamped with Memento black ink and colored with Copic markers. The polka dot paper is from the new Watercolor Wishes petite paper pack. This card is one I'll probably never give away, I just love it and it took forever to make. 😊 Maybe, someday, I'll make a duplicate to give away. Do you keep your favorite cards? Angie's Tree Sympathy Card

Happy Friday! I have a quick post to share this Angie's Tree Sympathy Card using the Angie's Tree stamp by Unity Stamps. It seems the frequency that I need sympathy cards increases every year. I usually make sympathy cards as I need them and don't keep many in my stash. I like to make them for the specific recipient. This one is going to a friend from high school who lost her father. 🌳🌳🌳

The image was colored with Copic markers and then adhered to a piece of green cardstock. Then it was attached to the polka dot background paper. The heartfelt sympathy sentiment is from the No Better Words sentiment kit by Unity Stamps and was adhered flat to the card. That's it! A simple handmade sympathy card.

Llama Birthday Card

Happy Friday! My hubby is still off work recovering from his second knee replacement, so my crafting time has been minimal. He has one more week off work and then I'm hoping things get back to "normal." I really miss my alone time!

Over the last several days I've been working on this Llama Birthday Card. The colors were selected from the Inky Paws Challenge to use: mint, plum, green and lilac. The image is from the Loveable Llamas stamp set by Newton's Nook and it was colored with a mix of Copic and Stampin' Blends markers. Some grass was cut using the Land Borders die set by Newton's Nook. After cutting some banners and stamping the sentiment everything was assembled and adhered flat. That's it! Mini Slimline Card - TMS #601

Hello! It's been a little crazy this past week at my house. My hubby had a total knee replacement last Monday and I've been taking care of him. Right now I'm feeling very sleep deprived and ready for things to get back to normal. 🥱

Birthday Card - TMS #598

Hello! Are you ready to play along with another sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches? This weeks sketch is designed by Melissa Craig and we would love for you to give it a try. I ventured away from my creative process this week and did something a little different. Instead of picking patterned paper that I love to start my card, I picked a piece from a paper pad that I truly don't know why I bought. Then I found the gray polka dot border in a package that had been forgotten. I matched the cardstock and decided to use the Happy Birthday die. The final decision was what to do with the postage stamp element, I decided to use a subtle stamp with a coordinating ink color. That's it! This card is definitely different than most of my makes. Bunny Thinking of You Card

Good day! It's been gloomy outside today, so I stayed in my craft room and played. This Bunny Thinking of You Card is what I made. It features the Dottie Bunny stamp set from Unity Stamps and it was colored pink with Copic markers (RV11 & RV32). The patterned papers are from the Shine On paper pad by Amy Tangerine (American Crafts/2018) and that's it.

Happy New Year Card

It's here, a brand New Year and a new decade! This year one of my resolutions is to get my crafty stash organized. I have a bad habit of starting a new project without cleaning my desk, which just piles on the mess. I'm also going to try to use what I have and buy less. I did way too much emotional shopping last year after my brother passed away. This Happy New Year Card was made with supplies that have been in my stash for many years. The patterned paper is from the Sweet Sorbet dsp by Stampin' Up! from 2014. My very neglected Cricut machine was used to cut the star and I've had the Happy New Year stamp since 2015. I don't usually send many New Year cards, but this year I plan to send a few. Balloon Kitty Birthday Card

Good day crafty friends! This past month I've been participating in the 30 Day Coloring Challenge, so now I have several images completed and waiting to be used on a card. Today I colored this Balloon Kitty image from the new Party Pals stamp set by Reverse Confetti. Copic markers were used to color the image and then it was die cut with the coordinating die. When coloring the image I used colors to coordinate with papers from the It's a Celebration paper pad by Carta Bella (2014). I'm trying to use my older patterned papers. It's very clear that I have a serious paper addiction. 😊 The layout is from the sketch at Try Stampin' On Tuesday. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. A Difference Card - TMS #565

Hello and welcome to the start of another new sketch for this weeks challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. When I first glanced at the sketch I wondered how I was going to accomplish the focal area shape. Then one afternoon after feeding a small can of cat food to the kitties, I realized the can was the perfect size for the top of the shape. So, I used an unopened can to trace onto the back of the patterned paper and fussy cut the top part. Using a bold stripe helped to hide any imperfection and makes a nice background for the sentiment. This A Difference Card was made for my hubby's physical therapist. He had a total knee replacement and has been going to therapy since January. His last appointment is this Friday and he asked me to make a card.

The Violet Watering Can image is digital and it's by Bugaboo Stamps and was colored with Copic markers. All the papers were sitting on my craft desk from other recent cards. Pretty Squirrel Card

Hello! I have a quick post to share this Pretty Squirrel Card I made. It features the Nibbles stamp by Unity Stamps and was colored with Copic markers. I adore squirrels and find them to be very entertaining! This card along with a donation will be sent to a local wildlife rehab facility called Wild Heart Ranch. They raise hundreds of orphaned or injured squirrels every year. I've been to their facility a few times and I truly admire the work they do for the wild critters. Egg Chick Easter Card

Easter will be here in a couple of weeks and I still have several cards to make. This Egg Chick Easter Card features an image from Unity Stamps called You... Crack Me Up. It was colored with Copic markers and then die cut with a stitched circle die. I used a mix of fun patterned papers and a die cut sentiment. The little flower is from the Thoughtful Blooms Sale-A-Bration stamp set by Stampin' Up! and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping.
