Autumn Blessings Card

Well, hello! It's been awhile since I've been able to make a card. One of my cats broke the tip of her front right elbow and had to have surgery. After surgery was 7 weeks of cage rest with minimal activity. Finally, we got the all clear that she can go back to normal activities. It was a long and hard 7 weeks, since she is only 9 months and still full of energy. I'm praying things will calm down now and life can get back to some kind of "normal."

This Autumn Blessings Card was made using dies from Unity Stamps and the wreath is from the no longer in business Reverse Confetti Stamps. Copic markers were used to color the image and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Indian Corn Give Thanks Card

Hello! A couple of years ago I saw a beautiful fall card using an Indian Corn image. It took me awhile to remember what company made the image but I finally found it by Divinity Designs. The stamp set is called A-MAIZE-ING. I colored the image with Copic markers and then used the coordinating die to cut it out. A mix of patterned papers were used and some deckle dies by Hello Bluebird. A few gold sequins to finish it off and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Pumpkin Gnome Card

Good day! Pumpkin season is here and I couldn't resist making a card with the Hello Pumpkin Gnome stamp set by Unity Stamps. Copic markers were used to color the image. The colors used were selected to coordinate with the patterned paper from the Happy Fall paper pad by Echo Park (2020). A little brown gingham is peeking out from behind the image and layered onto a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock by Stampin' Up!. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!🍁

Leaf Fall Greetings Card

Hooray... It's officially Fall!!! Now, I just need the cooler weather to arrive. It will still be about a month before the leaves turn colors here in Oklahoma. We have two maple trees in our yard. One tree turns a reddish orange and the other turns yellow. So, for this Leaf Fall Greetings Card I used the ink smooshing technique using distress inks: Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade and Aged Mahogany. The image is from Unity Stamps called Thankful Leaf by Graciellie Designs. The scallops & rectangles nesting dies by Unity Stamps was also used. To finish it off a sentiment from the Bountiful Fall stamp set by Unity Stamps was added. The papers are from the Fall Forest Mat Stack by DCWV (2019). Everything was adhered flat and that's it. So glad you stopped by and I wish you a happy and blessed Fall!🍁

Newton's Crate Fall Card

Hello! There are only a couple of days left until the arrival of Fall. I usually make a few cards to mark the changing of the seasons. To make this Newton's Crate Fall Card I used the challenges colors at Inky Paws to use: Orange, Green, Black and Cream. The images and sentiment are from a new stamp by Newton's Nook called Newton's Crate. Copic markers were used to color the images. I tried to color the cat to look like my youngest, she is a muted Torti (photo below). She is mainly black with one orange paw, a spot on her head and then she looks like she has subtle orange highlights. She is a sweet and beautiful girl! Anyway, back to the card... I found a linen looking paper and I stamped the edges with a stamp from the Stitchery stamp set by Stampin' Up!. Then I used some Frayed Burlap distress ink around the edges. A piece of black gingham and leaf print paper were used to anchor the image. Five die cut leaves add some detail and everything was adhered flat. That's it! So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.🍁

Fall Blessings Card

Hello! Each day we get closer to the arrival of Fall and that makes me happy. I keep waiting for the weather forecast to show a good cold front, but that hasn't happened. So, I'll keep waiting!🍁

This Fall Blessings Card uses a new stamp set I bought from Taylored Expressions called Autumn Blessings. The sentiment was already stamped and had been hanging out on my craft desk since last year, so I used it. It's by Impressions Obsession. The patterned papers are from the Welcome Autumn paper pad by Echo Park (2021) and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. Well, that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Fall Card with Cat

Good day! Is anyone else counting down the days until Fall/Autumn arrives? It's my favorite time of year and after the super hot Summer I'm ready for the cooler weather. In anticipation of Fall, I made this Fall Card with Cat. It features a stamped image by Newton's Nook called Paw-tumn Newton and it was colored with Copic markers. I love using gingham paper, especially in Fall. The design is super simple and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. So glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day.🌻

Happy Harvest Card

Hooray... Autumn/Fall has arrived!!! I've been counting down the days to cooler weather and we had a small front come through but the warmer weather is predicted to return. So, I will be patient and wait for the next cool front to arrive. 🍂

This Happy Harvest Card features two stamp sets by Lawn Fawn. The Happy Harvest stamp set and the Let's Go Nuts stamp set (squirrel). All images were stamped with Memento black ink and colored with Copic markers. The blue sky was made using Tumbled Glass distress ink and the ink smooshing technique. A frame was die cut using a piece of Lawn Fawn patterned paper and an Avery Elle reverse pinked die. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping, although I may keep this one for myself. Well, that about sums it up. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Bluebird Fall Card

Hello! I'm eagerly anticipating the arrival of fall and the cooler weather. Only a few more days to wait!🍂

While in my craft room yesterday I knocked over a stack of paper and found a inky background paper I made with distress inks a few years back. So, I decided before I lose it again that I would use it. It's layered behind a birch tree die cut using a die from Simon Says Stamp (S655). The images are from the Garden Friends stamp set by Hello Bluebird, except for the leaves they were in my stash of extras. All the images were colored with Copic markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. A hello fall sentiment (retired Stampin' Up!) was added and I inked some antique linen distress ink around the edges. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!🍂

This Bluebird Fall Card is entered into the following challenges: CCEE Stampers (Use a Mushroom), Crafty Gals Corner (Hello Fall!), Creative Knockouts (Wings and Things or Furry Friends) and Simon Says Stamp (Lots of Layers).

Fall Card - TMS #623

Hello! The official start to fall is only 8 days away. That makes me happy! To add another fall card to my stash, I used this weeks sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This weeks sketch is designed by Melissa Craig and I made my card a mini slimline design (3.5" x 6"). First, I picked out my paper from the Welcome Autumn paper pad by Carta Bella and then decided on the accent colors. After stamping and adhering my sentiment by Impression Obsession, I felt the card needed something else. Then I remembered these embossed leaves that have been in my stash of extras since 2016 when I made this Sympathy Card. It was time they made it onto a card and this was the perfect Fall Card for them. Some copper metallic thread was added and that's it. We would love for you to play along with the sketch this week. Fall Acorn Card - TMS #576

Hello! It's time to start another new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches and this weeks sketch was designed by Melissa Craig. I decided to use the new Big Acorn stamp by Lawn Fawn for this Fall Acorn Card. Five acorns were stamped using Memento black ink, colored with Copic markers and then die cut with the coordinating die. Green and brown look good together, so I decided on a green plaid paper by Lawn Fawn. The sentiment is by Impression Obsession and was stamped with Memento black ink. Before adhering to the card base I used Java chalk ink around the edge of the paper and that's it. We would love for you to join us this week! You have until 8 pm EST to link your creation to the challenge. For all the details and design team inspiration click HERE. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Just Because Card

Good day crafty friends! I'm still seeing several butterflies in my yard, so I decided to make another butterfly card. This Just Because Card features a butterfly from the retired Beautiful Day stamp set by Stampin' Up!. It was colored with Stampin' Blends markers in Mango Melody and then fussy-cut. The patterned paper is from a Halloween paper pad called Midnight Haunting by Pebbles (2017). The just because sentiment was heat embossed and a white embossed panel added for contrast. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day.

Fall Card with Squirrels

Hello and happy World Card Making Day! I hope you have time to make a card or two today. My crafty mojo has been pretty low lately, but that hasn't stopped me from buying new stamps and supplies. One of my latest purchases included the new Let's Go Nuts stamp set and Tree Before 'n Afters by Lawn Fawn. Aren't these squirrels super cute? I just adore this stamp set! So, today I decided to make this Fall Card with Squirrels. The images were colored with Copic markers and then die cut with the coordinating dies. To make the sky background I used Tumbled Glass distress ink and used the smooshing technique. The grass was cut with a tiny wavy scalloped die by Simon Says Stamp. Once everything was cut out I assembled the scene and adhered it to a piece of patterned paper from the Into The Woods Remix paper pad by Lawn Fawn. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. I'm glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Fall Acorn Hi Cards

Good day crafty friends! There is only 12 days until the arrival of fall/autumn here in the United States and that makes me very happy. We were lucky enough to have a cold front push through our area and the temperatures feel like fall. Since this year has been challenging for most, I decided to send simple fall cards to family. These Fall Acorn Hi Cards are easy to make and flat for hassle free shipping. When I make multiples of the same layout I always change the papers. Rarely will I make two identical cards. The acorn is from the retired Acorny Thank You stamp set by Stampin' Up! and it was punched with the coordinating punch. I've been hoarding my fall paper pads for awhile, so the papers are from several different pads and scraps. Well, that's about it. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Oh Nuts! Happy Fall Card

Good day! My backyard is frequented by numerous squirrels who like to steal the birdseed and that's fine by me. I think they are adorable! It's common to see them hanging upside down or chasing each other. They are definitely entertaining little critters! When I saw the Oh Nuts! stamp set by Hello Bluebird it was an easy decision to add it to my stamp collection.

To make this Oh Nuts! Happy Fall Card I stamped the images with Memento black ink and colored them with Copic markers. The coordinating dies were used to cut them out. For the background I used mixed media paper and distress oxide inks in Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky and Peeled Paint. Then the sentiment was added. A piece of woodgrain paper was used for a frame and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. That's it! I hope this card made you smile. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Cardinal One Day at a Time Card

Hello! If you've ever lost a loved one then you know it's a One Day at a Time situation. Right after a loss the sympathy cards pour in, but what about the weeks or months after? I like to send a card several weeks later and the One Day at a Time sentiment is one of my favorites to use. For this card I really wanted to use fall colors and a cardinal, so that's what I did. The cardinal is from the Winter Birds stamp set by Newton's Nook which were colored with Copic markers and then die cut with the coordinating dies. The floral and plaid papers are from the Mad 4 Plaid Fall paper pad by Photo Play and the whitewash woodgrain is by Stampin' Up!. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. I'm glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Autumn Mice Card with Leaves

Good day! I have a quick post to share my latest card. This Autumn Mice Card with Leaves started by using the color challenge at Inky Paws to use: Moss Green, Orange, Chocolate Brown and Ivory. Keeping the colors in mind I selected and stamped the Autumn Mice image with Leaves by Newton's Nook and used a plaid paper by Photo Play from the Falling Leaves collection (it's several years old). The images were colored with Copic markers and arranged onto a piece of whitewash woodgrain paper by Stampin' Up!. A reverse pinked die by Avery Elle was used for the brown frame. To finish it off the sentiment and brown leaves were added using stamps from the Autumn Newton stamp set. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Autumn Greetings Card - TMS #522

Hello and happy Tuesday! This week at Tuesday Morning Sketches we have a sketch that could easily be a one layered card. To create this Autumn Greetings Card I decided to used a retired stamp set by Stampin' Up! called Fall Fest. I stamped several leaves directly onto a piece of woodgrain paper that was sprayed with white Dylusions ink. Then added a few die cuts before matting it to a piece of olive green cardstock. A few drops of Honey Gold Nuvo drops were added and that's it. The design team created a variety of inspiration using the sketch designed by Melissa Craig. Click HERE for all the details and inspiration. We would love for you to join the challenge this week! You have until 8 pm EST on Sunday to link your creation. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
