Birthday Bouquet Card

Good day crafty friends! The month of May has many birthdays of family and friends, including mine. I think it's fun to make a card for myself and this Birthday Bouquet Card is this years make. The main stamp set used is called Bouquet Buddies by Hello Bluebird. This set is a good mix of stamping and coloring. The cat and dog were colored with Copic markers and the bouquet of flowers were stamped with colored ink pads. Two butterflies from the Springtime stamp set were colored with Copic markers and added for more color. The happy birthday die cut was a freebie from Simon Says Stamp back in 2017. Everything was adhered to the yellow Lawn Fawn Speckled paper layered onto the scalloped Gorgeous Grape cut using a die set by Unity Stamps. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. So glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Bluebird Fall Card

Hello! I'm eagerly anticipating the arrival of fall and the cooler weather. Only a few more days to wait!🍂

While in my craft room yesterday I knocked over a stack of paper and found a inky background paper I made with distress inks a few years back. So, I decided before I lose it again that I would use it. It's layered behind a birch tree die cut using a die from Simon Says Stamp (S655). The images are from the Garden Friends stamp set by Hello Bluebird, except for the leaves they were in my stash of extras. All the images were colored with Copic markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. A hello fall sentiment (retired Stampin' Up!) was added and I inked some antique linen distress ink around the edges. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!🍂

This Bluebird Fall Card is entered into the following challenges: CCEE Stampers (Use a Mushroom), Crafty Gals Corner (Hello Fall!), Creative Knockouts (Wings and Things or Furry Friends) and Simon Says Stamp (Lots of Layers).

Christmas Critter Card

Hello! The month of July is almost over and I finally made this Christmas Critter Card for a few Christmas challenges. At the beginning of the month I intended on making several Christmas cards, but I just couldn't get motivated. So, I guess one card is better than none. 😊

This Christmas Critter Card features images from Hello Bluebird. Every image except the bunny is from the Christmas is Coming stamp set and the bunny is from the O Christmas Tree stamp set. Copic markers were used to color the images and the coordinating dies used to cut them out. Everything was adhered flat onto a piece of snowflake paper from the Winter Market paper pad by Carta Bella. Well, that's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Just Bee-cause Card - TMS #571

Hello! I hope you had a wonderful extended Labor Day weekend. It wasn't very eventful at my house. In fact, I didn't leave the house on Sunday and Monday. I did go outside briefly to feed the birds, but that was the extent of my excitement.

Today is Tuesday and that means the start of another sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. The sketch is designed by Melissa Craig. I got a little creative and my vision was three bees buzzing around the top of a flower. A stencil was used for the flower with Wilted Violet distress ink onto a piece of Spiffy Speckles paper by Lawn Fawn. The bees are from the Bee Happy stamp set by Hello Bluebird and they were colored with Copic markers. That's really it! We would love for you to join us this week. For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. Don't forget to link your creation by 8 pm EST on Sunday. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Otterly Amazing Card

Good day crafty friends! A local wildlife rescue in my area is raising an orphaned baby otter, so I had to make them a card to send with my donation. The daily cost is $80 a day to supply fresh fish to the little guy. His name is Emmett and he is a cutie. I adore otters and I've enjoyed the photos and videos they share on their Facebook page.

To make this Otterly Amazing Card I used the Otter Friends stamp set by Hello Bluebird. The images were colored with Copic markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. I made an inky background using Distress Oxide Inks in Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch. The design was kept simple and everything adhered flat onto a piece of speckled paper by Lawn Fawn. I'm not going to write anything inside that way if they want to send the card to someone else they can. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day. 😊

Spooky Halloween Card

Happy Halloween! Well... it's almost over, but I usually make a Halloween card while waiting for trick-or-treaters. This Spooky Halloween Card was this evenings creation. I made a inky background using distress oxide inks. The stamped images are by Hello Bluebird from the Halloween Party and Little Haunters stamp sets. Copic markers were used to color the images and then they were die cut with the coordinating dies. The spooky tree was a freebie I received with a recent Simon Says Stamp order and that's it. The tree definitely added the spooky vibe to the card. I hope you had a fantastic Halloween and thanks for stopping by.

Kitty Witch Halloween Card

Happy Friday! This month is quickly getting away from me and I still have several Halloween cards to make. If you've followed my blog for awhile then you know I love cats, rabbits and pretty much any cute critter. Earlier this year I found a new to me stamp company called Hello Bluebird and they have some super cute critters. This Kitty Witch Halloween Card features images from their Halloween Party stamp set which were colored with Copic markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. A piece of star paper from the Bootiful Night paper pad by American Crafts (2016) was selected and the focal area was made with Distress Oxide inks in: Carved Pumpkin, Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Seedless Preserves with a touch of Black Soot. The final touch was adding the Happy Halloween die cut from Impression Obsession. Like most of my cards everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. I'm glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

It happens all the time! I get up from my craft chair and return to find one of my cats taking advantage of the warm seat. This is one of the reasons I don't get more accomplished. I let him keep the chair and I wait until the little chair thief moves on. 😊

Oh Nuts! Happy Fall Card

Good day! My backyard is frequented by numerous squirrels who like to steal the birdseed and that's fine by me. I think they are adorable! It's common to see them hanging upside down or chasing each other. They are definitely entertaining little critters! When I saw the Oh Nuts! stamp set by Hello Bluebird it was an easy decision to add it to my stamp collection.

To make this Oh Nuts! Happy Fall Card I stamped the images with Memento black ink and colored them with Copic markers. The coordinating dies were used to cut them out. For the background I used mixed media paper and distress oxide inks in Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky and Peeled Paint. Then the sentiment was added. A piece of woodgrain paper was used for a frame and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. That's it! I hope this card made you smile. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Fox Happy Fall Card

Hooray! Fall has officially arrived here in the United States and that makes me happy. Although our weather is still unusually warm, I'm eagerly anticipating the cooler breezes to arrive. This afternoon I made this Fox Happy Fall Card using a new stamp set by Hello Bluebird called Pumpkin Time. The image was colored with Copic markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. The images were placed onto the focal area that was made using Distress Oxide inks in Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky, Peeled Paint and Fossilized Amber. Patterned papers are from the Fall Market paper pad by Carta Bella and some stitching added for detail. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Otterly Amazing Card

Hello! I hope all is well in your world today. This afternoon I read the challenge at Simon Says Stamp was to make your own background, so I decided to play along. After finding a couple of masculine challenges at Watercooler Wednesday and Use Your Stuff this Otterly Amazing Card was in the works. The stamp set used is called Otter Friends by Hello Bluebird and I totally feel in love with it the minute I saw it. After coloring the images with Copic markers they were die cut with the coordinating dies. To make the background I used distress inks in Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire. The outer paper started with Sahara Sand cardstock by Stampin' Up! and it was inked with Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap distress inks. Water was spritzed onto the inked papers and some color dabbed away. The heat gun was used to help speed the drying process. A Memory Box die called Underwater Collage was used and the images positioned onto the card. The final addition was the heat embossed sentiment and that's it. I'm also entering this card in the anything goes challenge at Word Art Wednesday. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Here is a closer look at these adorable otters:

Bee Happy Card - TMS #508

Happy Tuesday! It's the middle of June and the official start to summer is almost here. I'm not a hot weather fan, so I will be happy to stay indoors and craft! I hope you're in the crafting mood, because today is the start of another sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I was inspired to create a scene using a new stamp set and coordinating dies by Hello Bluebird called Bee Happy. This weeks sketch was designed by Debbie Foster and I can't wait to see how you use it. For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE.
