Forest Christmas Cards

Hello! Now that Halloween is almost behind us I've been working on Christmas cards. These Forest Christmas Cards feature a darling stamp by Stampendous. I adore the critters peeking out of the tree. To color the image I used Copic markers and then Stickles was added to the snow for a little shimmer. Both patterned papers are from Echo Park. I only had one piece of the holly paper, so I picked red polka dot papers to coordinate. The Merry Christmas sentiment is from Hero Arts and was punched with an oval punch and matted to a scalloped oval both by Stampin' Up!. To finish the cards three small punched snowflakes were added and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!🎄

Snowman Card with Pink

Good day! After the hot summer here in Oklahoma I'm definitely ready for snow. We don't get a lot of snow, usually enough to cover the ground and make driving difficult, but I love watching it fall.

For this Snowman Card with Pink I used the Feeling Frosty stamp and die sets by Sunny Studio Stamps. The background trees were stenciled with the Sunny Studio Forest Trees stencil using tumbled glass distress ink. While making this card I made several little "oops", so I used the saying by Bob Ross "We don't make mistakes, just happy little accidents." To cover my happy little accident I added snowflakes to the four corners of the card. I had made a small rip in one corner of the pink frame and it was driving me crazy, but now you would never know it's there. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!⛄

Peaceful Christmas Cards

Good day! This month I purchased the Paper Pumpkin kit by Stampin' Up! called Peaceful Christmas. I always procrastinate on my Christmas cards and I knew this kit would save me some time. Here are two Peaceful Christmas Cards I made using the kit. I've layered the papers and changed the orientation of the Noel card.  I'm pretty happy with how they turned out and they came together quickly. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!🎄🎄🎄

Count Catula Card

Hello! The spooky night of Halloween is fast approaching and I couldn't resist making another card for this holiday. Last year I made a door hanging using the Count Catula image by Stampendous! along with several other images (click here), so today I made this Count Catula Card using the hanging as inspiration. The background was made using distress oxide inks. A creepy tree was die cut using a die from Simon Says Stamp and black grass die cut with the land borders die by Newton's Nook. Then I stamped and colored Count Catula by Stampendous and colored it with Copic markers. Several smaller stamps all from Hello Bluebird were stamped and colored and then everything was fussy cut. Everything was adhered flat and that's it! As you can see the cat is the star of this card, that grin is too cute to spook. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!🦇👻🎃

Candy Corn Card

Good day! I have a quick post to share this Candy Corn Card I made using a stamp set by Newton's Nook. The design is based off a card from the Newton's Nook stamp launch back in 2018. I've made several cards with this Candy Corn stamp set through the years, but I've always wanted to try stamping the candy around the sentiment like the example. It may have taken me several years to get around to it, but I finally made my version. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Thanks for stopping by my little blog today! We are starting another new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches and this one is by Debbie Foster. The sketch is perfect for a winter scene, but I decided to make this Thankful Card. I send cards to family for Thanksgiving, but I never have as many as I need. Do you send Thanksgiving cards?

We would love for you to join us this week! For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. Just remember to link your creation by 8 pm EST on Sunday.

Love and Light Christmas Card

When it comes to Christmas decorations the old fashion Christmas warms my heart. The Shiny Holidays stamp set by Unity Stamps has that old fashioned feel that I love. The candle image was colored with Copic markers and paired with a poinsettia paper from Memory Box (Garland Collection 2020). A scrap piece of gold paper was used for the sentiment and three small polka dot red banners added for detail and that's it. A simple and easy handmade Christmas card. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day. 🎄

Small Stuff Christmas Cards

Hello! As we inch closer to Christmas I'm trying to make several Christmas cards each week. Here are two cards I made using the Small Stuff Christmas stamp set from Unity Stamps. I love changing the patterned papers when I make duplicates. It's a simple design and there isn't much coloring which helps speed things along. I'm entering these cards into The Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day! 🎄🎄🎄

Ghost Boo Card - TMS #627

Good day! The weeks are flying by and it's Tuesday again, which means a new sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches. We would love for you to join us this week. The sketch was designed by Melissa Craig and it's perfect for a quick card. I decided to make a Halloween card using a cute ghost stamp from Pink & Main. The papers are from Doodlebug Design and I added die cut letters for the BOO. Now I've got one more Halloween card to send to family. Birthday Card with Dogs

Hello! This afternoon I made this Birthday Card with Dogs to remember my sister's birthday. She would have turned 45 today, but she passed away ten years ago. Making cards has helped me process my grief for the loss of both my siblings and several furry family members. It's been a wonderful form of therapy for me.

This Birthday Card with Dogs uses a stamp set by Newton's Nook that was the 2019 Stamptember exclusive at Simon Says Stamp. The images were stamped with Memento black ink and colored with Copic markers to coordinate with the patterned paper from the Birthday Wishes paper pad by Echo Park (2015). That's it and thanks for stopping by!

Hippo Christmas Card

Good day! One of my friends asked me to make her some Christmas cards, so I'm trying to make a couple each week. I hope she likes this Hippo Christmas Card because I think it turned out pretty cute. The hippo image is by Stampendous and it was colored with Copic markers then fussy cut. It did take some time trying to find the right papers. The stripe paper is retired from the Warmth & Cheer paper pad by Stampin' Up and the snowflake paper is from the Winter Market paper collection by Carta Bella. A photo frame die was used to give the hippo a place to rest. Three die cut snowflakes added for detail and a Joy die cut from Simon Says Stamp. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.❄❄❄

Halloween Pals Card

Hello! Are you counting down the days until Halloween? We started decorating our yard. In our neighborhood our Halloween decorations are always a big hit. It's fun to make the kids smile with decorations and of course candy. 🎃

Awhile back I colored these cute images from the Halloween Pals stamp set by Pretty Pink Posh. So, I decided to make an inky background using distress oxide inks and put them on a card. A black fence was die cut using a Lawn Fawn die called Little Picket Fence. The sentiment was heat embossed with silver embossing powder and two punched bats added to the sky. That's it. I've almost finished all my Halloween cards for this year. I plan to make a couple more and I'll be done. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day! 🦇

For You Card - TMS #626

Hello! It's Tuesday again and we have another new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This weeks sketch is designed by Melissa Craig. When starting this For You Card I couldn't decide on theme or color. So, to make my decision I just grabbed a paper pad from my stash that had never been used and went with it. The paper pad is called Flea Market by Crate Paper from 2013. From that point the card evolved. We would love for you to join us this week. For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Batty Boo Card

Happy World Cardmaking Day! My only make for the day is this Batty Boo Card. I was inspired by the photo inspiration at Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge. The BOO die cut is from Impression Obsession (DIE325-V) and the bat image is from the Gone Batty stamp set by Taylored Expressions. Two pieces of patterned paper were selected the black and white is from the Bootiful Nights paper pad by American Crafts (2016) and the stripe is from the Pumpkin Party paper pad by Doodlebug Design (2018). Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. So glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day! 🦇
