Thank You Card with Circles - TMS #548

Hello! This weeks sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches is a great way to help you pass the time if you're stuck at home during this virus outbreak. I definitely had fun making this Thank You Card with Circles. To give me a specific direction I decided to take the sketch literally. I used similar colors and circle sizes. It was a challenge to find papers I liked together and I punched several circles that went into my scrap pile. In the end I really like how it turned out. I hope you will give the sketch a try and join us this week! For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. Don't forget to link your creation by 8 pm EST on Sunday. Thanks for stopping by and stay safe!

Somebunny Special Card

Good day! This afternoon I realized there wasn't much time left to make a card for the Stock Your Stash Challenge on the Reverse Confetti blog. So, I stamped this cute bunny and butterflies from the Spring Bunnies stamp set then colored them with Copic markers. Once they were colored I used the coordinating die cuts to cut them out. The layout is simple and some fun kite paper from the Practically Perfect paper pad by Carta Bella was selected. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Challenges entered: Reverse Confetti (Stock Your Stash), Crafts Galore Encore (Anything Goes), The Crafter's Cafe (Animals) and The Creative Crafters (Anything Goes).

Egg Chick Easter Card

Easter will be here in a couple of weeks and I still have several cards to make. This Egg Chick Easter Card features an image from Unity Stamps called You... Crack Me Up. It was colored with Copic markers and then die cut with a stitched circle die. I used a mix of fun patterned papers and a die cut sentiment. The little flower is from the Thoughtful Blooms Sale-A-Bration stamp set by Stampin' Up! and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping.

I don't know about you but I'm very thankful for my crafting supplies during this self isolation period. It's keeping me sane and providing much needed creative therapy. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you and your family are staying well!

Just Saying Hello Card

Hello! Does anyone have cabin fever yet? We are doing pretty good so far, my hubby is working from home and going to the store as needed. Besides not running errands the current shelter in place order isn't much different than my daily routine. I've been self isolating for a while now! Although I do miss eating out... this situation is definitely putting a cramp in my "don't want to cook" attitude. 😊

This Just Saying Hello Card features a cute dressed up bunny and sentiment by Impression Obsession. First I selected a floral scrap from the Love Notes paper pad by Doodlebug Design and then paired it with a green stripe paper. Then Copic markers were used to color the image and it was fussy-cut. The sentiment was stamped on a scrap piece of polka dot paper and then everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you and your family stay well.

Newton's Peeps Easter Card

Hello! I have a quick post to share this Newton's Peeps Easter Card that I made for the current color challenge at Inky Paws. Using pastels is always a challenge for me, but I managed to use the colors and even denied my temptation to use green. 😊 The stamps on this card are from the Newton's Peeps stamp set by Newton's Nook and Copic markers were used to color the images. To make the scalloped background I used the Flags and Frames die set by Newton's Nook along with a piece of Daffodil Delight gingham paper by Stampin' Up!. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. I'm glad you stopped by and I hope you and your family are staying well during this crazy virus pandemic.

Under the Weather Card

Happy Friday! The arrival of Spring usually brings on allergies here in Oklahoma. Sneezing is normal this time of year with the increase of tree and grass pollen. Although with the current virus an innocent sneeze can send some people running, so it's probably best to just stay home.

My stash of feel better/get well cards is running low, so I made this Under the Weather Card. The image is by Whipper Snapper Designs and it's called Rainy Day Rabbit. Copic markers were used to color the image and the patterned paper is from the Heidi Grace Sunshowers paper pad by Colorbok. The sentiment is from the retiring Spring Showers stamp set by Newton's Nook. For the final touch I added three glimmer stickers at the bottom and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you and your family stay well!

You're the Sweetest Card

Happy first day of Spring! We received a good rain storm last night and now the sun is shining and the birds are chirping. It's turned into a wonderful day! I'm looking forward to the return of the flowers🌺, so I used a pretty floral patterned paper from the Love Notes paper pad by Doodlebug Design on this You're the Sweetest Card. The image is from Unity Stamps and it's called Springtime Owl and I think it's just darling. Copic markers were used to color the image and a stitched square die to cut it out. Some twine for detail and that's it. I hope you are staying well during this crazy virus! My hubby was lucky to find some toilet paper yesterday at the store, so we should be good for at least another week. Take care and thanks for stopping by!

Live Laugh Love Card - TMS #546

Hello crafty friends! It's time for another new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches and this weeks sketch was designed by Debbie Foster. I thought it made a good sentiment focused design and the sentiment stamp used is by Inkadinkado. The patterned papers are from the Have Faith paper pad by Echo Park and I used a couple of butterflies for the detail. I'm usually pretty slow when making cards but this Live Laugh Love Card came together pretty quickly. We would love for you to join us this week. Click HERE for all the challenge details and design team inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and happy St. Patrick's Day!

Little Ducks Easter Card

Hello and happy Friday! Easter is a month away and I love making Easter cards. I usually mail about a dozen handmade Easter cards to family and friends. Easter is the perfect occasion to remind your loved ones that you're thinking about them and a handmade card is the perfect way to send the message.

This Little Ducks Easter Card is the first one I've made this year. The duck image is from Unity Stamps and it's called Lucky Little Ducks. After picking out the patterned paper from the Spring Fling paper pad by Echo Park, I colored the image with Copic markers. The Happy Easter sentiment is from the Bunny- Keep You Forever sentiment kit from Unity Stamps. A simple layout was used and everything is adhered flat to make shipping easy. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Card using Butterfly Blossoms

Hello! I'm still playing along with the 30 Day Coloring Challenge, it's been good therapy for me. This butterfly is what I colored last night. It's from the Butterfly Blossoms stamp set by Reverse Confetti and it was colored with Copic markers. The coordinating dies were used to cut it out and then it was adhered to a white die cut panel that was adhered to a polka dot scalloped die cut panel from the Newton's Nook Frames & Flags die set. Two banners anchored with flowers add more detail and the one day at a time sentiment is by Verve Stamps. The sentiment reflects how I'm living my life since my brother passed away in December. Every day is a challenge and one day at a time is about all I can do. I'm glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Simple Birdie Notecard

Good day crafty friends! I have a quick post to share this Simple Birdie Notecard featuring the Note this Birdie image from Unity Stamps. The patterned papers are from the new Love Notes paper pad by Doodlebug Design and they were matted to a piece of red cardstock. The design is simple and everything was adhered flat. I find if I spend a lot of time on a card I'm less likely to give it away. So, hopefully this card will actually get mailed. ☺ I'm glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Cheeky Monkey Smile Card

Hooray for Friday! It's another sunshine filled day here in Oklahoma and the weekend forecast looks wonderful. I've been trying to participate in the 30 Day Coloring Challenge and yesterday I colored this Cheeky Monkey image from Your Next Stamp. So, this morning I made it into a card. All patterned papers are from the It's A Party paper pad by Pink & Main and the image was colored with Copic markers. A few star stickers by Sticko were added for detail and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. That's it, simple and easy.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Some Bunny Special Card

Hello! The sun is out and it's a beautiful day. After I share this Some Bunny Special Card I'm headed outside to enjoy the sunshine. 🌞 This card features a new bunny stamp by Newton's Nook from the Hop Into Spring stamp set. Copic markers were used to color the image to coordinate with the patterned paper from the Girl Squad paper pad by Pebbles (2017). Then the coordinating die was used to cut it out. Can you tell I smeared the sentiment a little around the word special? It was already adhered to the floral paper, so I left it. Three yellow butterflies were added, they were stamped using the Newton's Birdbath stamp set.  That's it! Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of the day!
