Handmade Love Card

Hello! This afternoon I've been combining a few card challenges. I used the CR84FN Color Challenge ,the Mojo Monday Sketch challenge, and the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger photo to create this Handmade Love Card. It's been awhile since I participated in all of these challenges, so it made perfect sense to combine them. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Handmade Love Card Supplies:
  • Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, and Pool Party card stock by Stampin' Up and patterned paper by American Crafts.
  • Other Stuff: Swiss Dots embossing folder by Cuttlebug, Finishing Touches Edgelit, Pool Party twine, and Small Heart punch by Stampin' Up!, Cricut Machine, Home Accents Cricut Cartridge, and paper heart doily from dollar bin at Target.

When I look at the Moxie Fab Trigger photo called Sweet Dreams it reminds me of a serene comfortable romance and that helped me decide to make this Handmade Love Card that I will use as a wedding card.

Floral Congratulations Card

The color green is one of my favorite colors.  My paper stash includes many different shades of green.  There is olive green, emerald green, dusty green, leaf green, bright green, and I could go on.... but you get the picture.  So, where was the mint green when I needed it?  Well, evidently the law of creativity states that what you need you never have.  This weeks color challenge at The Play Date Cafe includes: mint, soft yellow, coral, and tulip.  The colors together are very soft and pretty and I was determined to find something that worked.  I ended up using a patterned paper from Emma's Shoppe Collection from Crate Paper.  The design for this floral congratulations card is from this weeks sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches designed by Jen Mitchell.  Creating with circles is always fun and this card was no exception.

Floral Congratulations Card Supplies:
  • Paper: White cardstock, patterned paper by K & Company (Sweet Nectar designer mat pad, 30-657083), soft yellow cardstock, and patterned paper by Crate Paper (Emma's Shoppe Collection, ES868).
  • Stamps: Congratulations sentiment stamp by Stampin' Up! (Curly Cute stamp set, 120510).
  • Ink: VersaMark watermark stamp pad and Zing! embossing powder in white.
  • Other Stuff: Doily flower sticker by Martha Stewart Crafts (41-00158), fancy scroll Glitter on a Roll by Recollections (181164), and stampin' dimensionals.

Doilies Just Because Card

It's challenge time again.  I have found I like making cards for challenges, it gives me a direction to focus on.  The Doilies Just Because Card was made with two challenges in mind.  CAS-ual Fridays challenge is to use punches or dies, making this card I used three different punches and my Cricut machine.  The second challenge comes from Moxie Fab World doilies & lace challenge.  I love the colors in this card and the sentiment "Just Because" can be used for many occasions.

Doilies Just Because Card Directions:
  1. Make card from tan cardstock.  Finished Size: 4.5" x 6.25".
  2. Trim patterned paper (Doilies, Restoration Collection by Crate Paper), ink edges, and adhere.
  3. Punch plum cardstock (American Crafts) and tan cardstock with Fiskars Upper Crest edge punch, layer, and adhere.
  4. Punch lucky limeade cardstock (Stampin' Up!) with Stampin' Up! lace ribbon border punch, and adhere.
  5. Punch plum cardstock with EK Success real estate sign punch, punch or cut 2" oval with Cricut machine, stamp sentiment with lucky limeade classic stampin' pad, and layer.
  6. Use X-acto knife and cut a small slit by patterned paper, place ribbon through slit and wrap around card, tie bow, and attach sentiment with dimensionals.
