Heartfelt Roses Card

Hello! I hope you are doing well. This afternoon I decided to make a card for a couple of challenges. I combined the Inky Paws Challenge to use Polka Dots with the Spring Flowers theme at Simon Says Monday Challenge. To create this Heartfelt Roses Card I used two stamp sets from Newton's Nook: Heartfelt Roses and Monarchs. To color the images Copic markers were used. There may be no such thing as blue monarch butterflies, but I love the blue contrast with the flowers. The scalloped heart was cut using the Heart Frame Dies by Newton's Nook. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that pretty much sums it up. Thanks for stopping by!

Thinking of You Card

Good day! The month of May is almost over and I'm dreading the return of hot weather. I'll be a hermit in my house for the months of June-August. Many people enjoy the hot weather, but I'm not one of them. Every summer I'm thankful for central air conditioning! I truly need to move to a cooler climate. 😊

Since the Emerald is the birthstone for May, I wanted to make a card using green to close out the month. The layout is from this weeks sketch at Tuesday Morning sketches. I picked a patterned paper from the Jack and Jill paper pad by Echo Park (2015). A small floral stamp by Altenew called Wonder Clusters was stamped and colored with Copic markers. The coordinating die was used to cut it out. A Thinking of You sentiment by Taylored Expressions was stamped and die cut with a stitched circle die. The final addition was the little yellow butterfly that was in my stash and everything was adhered flat. That's it and thanks for stopping by. Handmade Card for Mom

Hello! It's a rainy day here in Oklahoma. I ran a few errands this morning and then decided to play in my craft room. After digging through my stamp sets, I decided to use the Always stamp set by Pink & Main to create this Handmade Card for Mom. My mom likes the color blue, so I found a pretty floral paper in the New Day paper pad by Echo Park (2022) that reminded me of her. It coordinates nicely with the stamp set. I used Copic markers to color the image and then added a sentiment using the Best Mom Oval stamp set by Newton's Nook. The coordinating dies were used to cut out the image and then everything was adhered flat. That's it, so glad you stopped by!

Butterfly Thinking of You Card

Hello! As it gets warmer outside, I've noticed a few butterflies fluttering around my yard. We don't spray chemicals on our backyard, so the butterflies and bees have a few things to feed on until I plant flowers. 🌼

To create this Butterfly Thinking of You Card I used the sketch from the Inky Paws Challenge. I added some blue to play the option at Crafty Catz and three butterflies to play along at Triple B. The butterfly images are from the retiring Beautiful Wings stamp set by Newton's Nook. Floral paper from the My Favorite Summer paper pad by Echo Park was selected. Some twine was added to go along with the sketch and that's it. So glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day.🦋

Mother's Day Card

Hello and happy Sunday! It may be a little early for Mother's Day, but since I'm not crafting as much, I thought I should make one early. This Mother's Day Card was made using colors from the current Inky Paws Challenge to use: Bubblegum Pink, Lilac, Spring Green and White. Most of the supplies are by Newton's Nook. The stamp set is Best Mom Oval, along with Oval Frames die and Springtime paper pad. A piece of pink stripe paper from my stash was added and the markers are Stampin' Blends. Birdies Thank You Card

Good day! It's a lovely rainy day here in Oklahoma, so I decided to spend some time crafting. I made this Birdies Thank You Card for the sweet lady who does our taxes. She has been doing them since my hubby and I have been married, 25 years. A thank you card is probably long overdue. 

The card layout is from this weeks challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. An image from Unity Stamps called For all Your Help Birdies was stamped and then colored with copic markers. When I started looking at sentiments, nothing fit right. Then I remembered the retired Vertical Greetings stamp set from Stampin' Up!, that I had never used, and decided that would work perfectly. The floral patterned paper is new from Echo Park from the It's Spring Time paper pad and some coordinating paper from my scrap bin. A butterfly from my stash was added and that's it. Butterfly Wreath Card

Happy Wednesday! I have a quick post to share a couple of Butterfly Wreath Cards I made using a stamp set by Reverse Confetti. The pink card was made first and then I decided to make a blue one too. Copic markers were used to color the images and then they were die cut with the coordinating dies. A piece of patterned paper from the Summer paper pad from Carta Bella (2021) was used and adhered onto a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock by Stampin' Up!. The papers were cut with a scalloped layering die by Unity Stamps and a Thank You sentiment from Stampin' Up! was added. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it! Butterfly Thank You Card

A happy hello to you! Over the last few days we have received some much needed rain and I'm very grateful. Our yard was starting to turn brown and my plants were definitely suffering. It's been a dreadfully hot July, so I'm happy to see this month end. 

This Butterfly Thank You Card is simple and easy. The big butterfly makes a wonderful focal impact. It's from the retired Beautiful Day stamp set by Stampin' Up!. It was colored with Copic markers and then fussy-cut. The papers are also retired by Stampin' Up! from the Garden Impressions dsp. Card for Veterinarian

Hello! Last year we rescued an 11 year cat from the shelter and he ended up being pretty sick. Our veterinarians were key to his recovery. We took him yesterday for his one year check up and he is in great health. I made this card for our veterinarians to thank them for saving his life. I also gave them a candy jar full of Life Savers, it seemed appropriate. 😊 

The image is called Elsie and Butterflies from Wild Rose Studio and was colored with Copic markers. Three different patterned papers were used. The butterfly paper is from the Paige Evans Go the Scenic Route paper pad from American Crafts and the polka dot papers were from my scrap bin. A sentiment from the Adopt Don't Shop stamp set from Whimsy Stamps was added and that's it. Thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful Day Butterfly Card

A happy hello and glad you stopped by my blog. Today I'm sharing this Beautiful Day Butterfly Card  that I made for the color challenge at Inky Paws to use: Crimson Red, Cobalt Blue, Turquoise Blue and White. So, I used the shades of blue to color the butterflies from the Monarchs stamp set by Newton's Nook. To add red I used a piece of polka dot paper that was cut into a large half circle and adhered to the blue vine paper. A sentiment from the Monarchs stamp set was added and that's it. Good Thoughts Card

Hello! Thanks for stopping by to check out this Good Thoughts Card. This card was made for my mother-in-law. She is a two time breast cancer survivor with her first diagnosis over 20 years ago. Recently she had some tests done and found out she has bone cancer. It's a very difficult time for her, so I just wanted to make her something pretty. 🦋

The floral oval stamp is from Newton's Nook, it was colored with Copic markers then was fussy cut and matted to a die cut scalloped oval. A yellow butterfly from the Monarch stamp set by Newton's Nook was added. The sentiment is very retired from the the Perfect Pennants stamp set by Stampin' Up!. Everything was adhered flat to a piece of striped paper and that's it. Thanks again for stopping by!

Hello and happy Earth Day! Usually I like to go outside and do some spring cleaning and plant flowers on Earth Day. However, today in Oklahoma it's just way too windy. So, I decided to play with the Daisy Garden stamp by Stampin' Up! instead. The colors used include: Soft Succulent, Pale Papaya, Evening Evergreen, Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody. A butterfly from the Butterfly Gala stamp set was added and the sentiment is from the retired Special Moments stamp set from sale-a-bration. Butterfly Card with Foil

Good day! We are getting some rain today, so I've postponed my Monday errands. Instead, I'm sharing this Butterfly Card with Foil that I finally finished. The butterfly design is a toner card front from Unity Stamps and I used distress inks to color, then wiped it well with a paper towel before foiling. To finish the card I added a purple embossed strip and one day at a time sentiment and that's it. I'm entering this card into the Beyond The Blue, Foiled Again! challenge. Hello! I have a quick post to share this Make Me Smile Card that I made inspired by the upcoming arrival of Spring. It makes me happy when the butterflies and flowers return. The dull winter landscape can definitely use some color about now. To make this card I used the Newton's Flower Garden stamp set and colored the images with Copic markers. The oval dies are from Avery Elle and the Patterned paper is from the Sun & Fun paper pad by Pebbles (2019). Everything was adhered flat and that's it. Feminine Strong Card

Good day! The sun is shining today but it's still really cold outside. So, I thought I would share this Feminine Strong Card with you. I've used this sentiment from Unity Stamps before on a masculine card. It's a sentiment that really resonates with me! The background paper is from the Pretty Thing paper pad by MME (2019) with a little bit of Bo Bunny damask peeking out from under the sentiment. Hello! It's cold today here in Oklahoma, so I plan to stay indoors most of the day. I will go out to feed the birds, but it will be a very quick trip outside. My hubby says the birds will be fine, but I feel bad for them especially when I have food to feed them. What can I say... I don't want them to go hungry. 

This You are Loved Card features an Altenew word die accented with a white butterfly stamped using the Monarchs stamp set by Newton's Nook. The floral paper is from the Girl Squad paper pad by Pebbles and the heart paper was a scrap I found on my desk. I love it when you find things that match already waiting to be used. Support Card

Good day! This afternoon I saw the challenge at Simon Says is Fun With Stencils, so I decided to play along. I used the Tumbling Leaves stencil with distress inks in Bundled Sage and Speckled Egg by Ranger/Tim Holtz. The stencil was used directly onto a piece of white brick paper by The Paper Studio and it was matted to a piece of retired Baha Breeze cardstock by Stampin' Up!. Hello! It's Tuesday again and we have another new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This weeks sketch is designed by Melissa Craig. Thanksgiving Oak Card

Good day! It's time to say goodbye to the month of September and I thought the best way to do that was with a Thanksgiving card. To make this Thanksgiving Oak Card I used a stamp set available at Unity Stamps called Thankful Oak. The images were stamped onto very vanilla cardstock and colored with Copic markers. A piece of bark patterned paper from the Enchanted Harvest paper pad by Bo Bunny (2015) was selected and everything adhered flat.
