There is a thin blanket of snow on the ground which makes for a great day to stay inside and make cards. I've been playing with the new stamp set by Stampin' Up! called Dragonfly Dreams and coordinating Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits. The patterned paper is from the new Cupcakes and Carousels paper stack. Colors on this card include: Whisper White, So Saffron and Calypso Coral with Memento black ink on sentiment. Some clear Wink of Stella was added to the dragonfly wings and three retired Crisp Cantaloupe sequins were added for sparkle. Pretty simple but I really like how it turned out. The hardest part was gluing the tiny white cardstock pieces into the die cut design. I was trying to be really careful with the glue and a huge drop came out, luckily it's not noticeable. It never fails when I try to be careful that's when something weird happens. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!!!

I think that this inlayed look is really popular and I can see why. Your card may be simple, but I love that. Dragonflies are so magical and great for a birthday card. Thanks for joining us at Seize the Birthday. Hope to see you again.

I have this set ordered, so it's especially nice to see how prettily it's made up in this lovely card. I'm really liking the coral tones of the background, and that is some super inlay work on these critters. Happy New Year, and hope the snow melts faster than ours has. But we don't have all that much, and it's still pretty to look at, inside a cozy warm house! TFS & Hugs
