Secret Garden In Color Card

Hello! I'm really excited for the new Stampin' Up! catalog to go live tomorrow. This afternoon I combined one of my favorite stamp sets, Secret Garden, with the new 2013-2015 In Colors. The layout for this Secret Garden In Color Card design is from the Techno Stamper sketch challenge. The main focal space was perfect for this floral arrangement. I added a few rhinestones and some dazzling details to the center of the flowers for a little sparkle. Thanks for stopping by!

Yellow Bird Card

Good afternoon! There are barely two days left to order from the Spring Stampin' Up! catalog. This Yellow Bird Card was made using the Sunshine & Sprinkles dsp, from the Spring catalog, and the Betsy's Blossoms stamp set. The Betsy's Blossom stamp set is being carried over into the new 2013-2014 catalog, but the Sunshine & Sprinkles dsp will only be available until May 31st. I love the bright colors in this collection!  So, I figured I better give you a good example of what you can do with it. To create this card I used the sketch from Sunday Stamps. I was a little rebellious and I didn't use a sentiment. I decided it needed a cute yellow bird instead. The postage stamp punch was the perfect size to punch out the flowers and I fussy cut the bird and leafy twig. Well, I hope you like it and have a great day!!!

Patterned Paper Card

Hello! I have a confession.... I'm a patterned paper junkie!!! I buy way more than I'll ever use and some patterns are "too pretty" that I purposely don't use them. This weeks sketch at The Paper Players designed by LeAnne Pugliese is perfect for using scraps of patterned paper.  I've used the Family Ties patterned paper collection by Pebbles. The colors are happy and coordinate with Stampin' Up! card stock colors in Daffodil Delight, Baja Breeze, and Pear Pizzazz. To create this Patterned Paper Card I measured and cut all my pieces, stamped the flourish & sentiment and then taped the pieces together. I then adhered to Daffodil Delight card stock and stitched the layers together. I stamped and punched the Boho Blossoms and adhered with dimensionals and then added the punched Bitty Butterfly. A few pearls to finish it off and this card was done!

This afternoon I was bored... and cleaning the house was not on my agenda, so I made another version of my Patterned Paper Card. I used patterned paper from the Party Collection by Pebbles. The colors are nice, bright and perfect for summertime creations. The sentiment is from Rubbernecker Stamps and I used the Beautiful Wings Embosslits by Stampin' Up! for the butterfly. It's fun to see how different a card can look by using different colors. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Hello Card

I hope you're having a wonderful weekend! This morning I planted a flat of petunias in my front flower bed. Then I spent some time in my craft room creating this Hello Card. I used the BINGO challenge at Simply Create Too for the design elements of my card. I used the "I" row which called for: Green, Banner, Gems, Embossing and Circles.  I heat embossed the Lacy & Lovely circles by Stampin' Up! with Gumball Green and used Black and Melon Mambo as accent colors. The green patterned paper is from the Amy Tangerine collection by American Crafts and the sentiment stamp is from TPC Studios. The design is simple but I really love the bright green with the black contrast. Thanks for stopping by!

Colorful Butterfly Card

I love butterflies, they just make me happy! Each week at Flutter By Wednesday's they have a challenge to use a Butterfly or a Fairy on your card creations. This week they also have a sketch to follow designed by Kathy Curry. The sketch is for a square card and it's been awhile since I've made one, so I figured today was as good as any. This Colorful Butterfly Card features the Daisy Butterflies digital image by Meljen's Designs. I used many different colors of Copic markers to color the image. The green strip of paper was sponged with Pistachio Pudding (a new In Color for Stampin' Up!, available May 31st) and then stamped the script with Garden Green. The striped patterned paper is from the Collectable "Memorable" collection by My Mind's Eye. Thanks for stopping by!

Balloon Monkey Birthday Card

Good evening! My hubby worked late tonight and I found a couple of challenges that I couldn't pass up, so I spent a little extra time in my craft room. I made this Balloon Monkey Birthday Card using the Seize the Birthday sketch and their sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps. The digital image I used is called Critter Balloons - Monkey by Bugaboo and I colored it with my Copic markers. I added some white puffy paint to the cloud for some dimension and sponged a light blue around the image. There were five challenges combined to create this Balloon Monkey Birthday Card:
The bingo challenge at Catch the Bug is always fun! I colored the balloon green for the starts with G, did a little sewing, and used a Bugaboo image. The patterned paper is from the Confetti collection by K & Company and the orange brads are from The Paper Studio. I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment using the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set by Stampin' Up! Making cards for kids always puts a smile on my face, especially when it has a monkey party animal on it! Thanks for stopping by and I hope my card made you smile too.

Emboss Resist Swallowtail Card

Hello friends! Many of you know I'm from Oklahoma and our weather the last couple of days have been quite tragic. I wanted to let you know that my family is safe and everyone is accounted for. My brother and several relatives live in Moore where the large tornado hit but their homes weren't in the path of the destruction. I appreciate all your thoughts!

I have a quick post to share this Emboss Resist Swallowtail Card I made using the colors from this weeks Sunday Stamps challenge. The challenge colors are: Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight and Lucky Limeade. I have plenty of patterned paper in these colors but I decided to combine the color challenge with Cards in Envy and 'ABC' Challenges to stamp and create your own background. I stamped and embossed the Swallowtail onto white card stock and then sponged on Lucky Limeade and Daffodil Delight ink. I used a blender pen to add the Rich Razzleberry accents. My first idea was to stamp the sentiment onto a decorative label, but after I had it ready to adhere, I didn't like the way it looked. So, I stamped the sentiment directly onto my background paper. A few rhinestones to add a little bling and my Emboss Resist Swallowtail Card was complete. Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!
