Our Thoughts Card - TMS #503

Greetings crafty friends and happy Tuesday! Today I'm thrilled that Tuesday Morning Sketches is featuring a sketch that I designed. There is lots of potential to use fun patterned papers with this card. I can't wait to see what you create! You have until 8 pm EST to link your creation to the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog. Click HERE for all the challenge details and design team inspiration.

When I started making this Our Thoughts Card I probably went through all my 6x6 paper pads looking for the perfect purples. Now, I can tell you I have very little purple to choose from. Although it's my favorite color, either the shades didn't match or it didn't have the right look. So, this is what I ended up choosing by pulling colors from the Rosey with a Flower image by Fred She Said. The sentiment from the Lasting Lily stamp set by Stampin' Up! (2019 Sale-A-Bration) was stamped using black Memento ink. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Simple Miss You Card

Hello and happy Tuesday! It's time for a new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown and this week we want you to make something Clean and Simple. Our sponsor is Fred, She Said Designs and I'm using the adorable Rosey with Flower image. The coloured set comes with four different versions of Rosey. I printed them all out and because they are all so cute, I let my hubby decide which one I used. Keeping in mind this is a clean and simple challenge, I went with a scalloped frame die cut by Taylored Expressions and a die cut Miss You sentiment by Impression Obsession. The big debate was over the sequins, to use or not to use was the question... well, I went for it.

We would love for you to join us this week! Click here for all the challenge details and design team inspiration. You have until mid-day Monday, September 5th to play along. Hope to see your creation in the gallery.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Guest Designer at Crafting by Designs

Hello! Back in April one of my cards was selected as a spotlight winner for the anything goes challenge at Crafting by Designs. Shortly after an email showed up asking me to be a Guest Designer for their July Anything Goes challenge. I gladly agreed and the challenge starts today! I hope you will play along!!!

When I sat down to create my card I originally made a card to celebrate Independence Day but I wasn't overly thrilled with it. Then I decided to take a different approach and use red, white and blue with the lovely wheelbarrow pre-colored image by Fred She Said. The blue floral patterned paper is by Pebbles and the red is from the brights designer series paper stack by Stampin' Up! This card is a mix of digital and stamped images. The flowers are stamped using the Petite Petals stamp set and crushed curry ink. I used the coordinating Petite Petals punch and added a candy dot in the center of the flowers. The square scalloped die is by Spellbinders and I used a corner rounder on the image panel. After stamping the Happy Birthday Wishes sentiment by Stampin' Up! I used my oval punches and layered the pieces together. In the end I'm much happier with how this card turned out. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Basket Bunny Easter Card

Hello! I finally finished with my Easter cards and just in time to pop them in the mail today. It seems I always procrastinate with holiday cards. However, there is an element of fun to having a deadline that I have to meet.

These Basket Bunny Easter Cards both feature an image from Fred She Said called Bunneh!. The images are pre-colored which helps speed things along when you don't have much coloring time! I kept the designs simple to minimize layering and to make sure no extra postage would be required. The patterned papers on the pastel card are by Paper Pizzazz and the yellow and purple card papers are by DCWV. I used the Scalloped edge punch and Boho Blossom punch by Stampin' Up! on both cards and cut the ovals with oval dies. Thanks for stopping by and I wish you and your family a Blessed and Happy Easter!!!

Sweet Chick Easter Card

Hello! I hope you are having a lovely day! This morning I ignored a few chores to spend some time in my craft room. It's "justifiable" since I have several more Easter cards I need to make. Right? Over the weekend I was going through a stack of printed digital images and found this Sweet Chick already cut out, matted and ready to use. The image is by Fred She Said and came pre-colored. The patterned papers are from DCWV and the Happy Easter sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set by Stampin' Up! This Sweet Chick Easter Card is my favorite from the Easter cards I've made this year. I love the yellow, purple and green together! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Simple Easter Card

Last night I finished all the Easter cards I needed to make. The last card I created was this Simple Easter Card. There are no fancy embellishments but I LOVE it! I added stitching to give it a little more detail but with the gingham checks it's a little hard to see. The finished size is 4" x 5.5". Thanks for stopping by!

Simple Easter Card Supplies: White and lilac card stock by Core'dinations, Gumball Green card stock by Stampin' Up!, and Green Gingham patterned paper by Paper Pizazz. Easter Chicky pre-coloured digital stamp by Fred She Said. Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, modern label punch, and word window punch all by Stampin' Up!

Easter Greetings Card

Well, another weekend bites the dust. We did go to the movies to see OZ The Great and Powerful. It was definitely worth the price of a ticket. The colours and visual effects were beautiful. I didn't read the reviews or spoilers before I watched it, I just went and enjoyed the story.

To finish off my weekend I made this Easter Greetings Card using a sketch from the Come and Get It challenge. The sponsor for this challenge is Fred She Said, so I popped over to their site and purchased this adorable Easter Chicky pre-colored digital stamp. I just loved it the second I saw it and couldn't wait to make this card. Well, thanks for stopping by and have a terrific week!
