Cats Sending Smiles Card

Hello! This Cats Sending Smiles Card is my latest recreation. I haven't felt super creative lately, so I am recreating some of my favorite cards from the last couple of years. The original card using this image and layout was made last June and you can see it HERE. I used completely different colors, so the cards look pretty different. The image is from the Newton's Blooms stamp set and the sentiment is from the retired Sending Hugs stamp set both by Newton's Nook. Copic markers were used to color the image and then they were die cut with the coordinating dies. The floral patterned paper is from the Springtime paper pad by Newton's Nook. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. I'm entering this card into the Crazy for Cats Challenge (Anything CAT Goes), Simon Says Wednesday Challenge (Anything Goes) and the We Love Stamping Challenge (Favourite Colors). My favorite colors are purple and green. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!🌼

Sending Smiles Card

Good day! I have a quick post to share this Sending Smiles Card I made using the challenge colors at Inky Paws. The challenge colors are: Crimson Red, Cobalt Blue, Turquoise Blue and White. I decided to use mainly blues with red as an accent color. The image is called Newton's Blooms by Newton's Nook and it was colored with Copic markers and die cut with the coordinating die. A scalloped oval die by Newton's Nook was also used. The sending smiles sentiment is from the Sending Hugs stamp set by Newton's Nook. A piece of blue polka dot paper was used for the background and everything was adhered flat. So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.😊

Smile Card

Hello! I have a quick post to share this Smile Card I made with a new word die from Pink & Main. It was included free with my last order and free is always fun. As it turned out I had the perfect paper to use and it's from the Glitter Girl paper pad by American Crafts (2017). To add a little detail and sparkle three yellow circles were punched and topped with red sequins. It's just a simple and fun card that will hopefully make someone smile. I'm entering this card into the challenge at Modsquad to use something new. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!😊

Cheeky Monkey Smile Card

Hooray for Friday! It's another sunshine filled day here in Oklahoma and the weekend forecast looks wonderful. I've been trying to participate in the 30 Day Coloring Challenge and yesterday I colored this Cheeky Monkey image from Your Next Stamp. So, this morning I made it into a card. All patterned papers are from the It's A Party paper pad by Pink & Main and the image was colored with Copic markers. A few star stickers by Sticko were added for detail and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. That's it, simple and easy.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Smiling Flowers Card - TMS #539

Hello! This week at Tuesday Morning Sketches we are revisiting Lisa's favorite sketch from 2019 and she selected sketch #507. You can see the original post from last June HERE. For my card I decided to use the same stamp set that I used back in June, On The Mend by Lawn Fawn, but this time I used the Smiling Flowers stamp instead of the turtle. The floral patterned paper is from the Down on the Farm paper pad by Doodlebug Design. To top it off I used a Sending Smiles top edge die by Impression Obsession from the Everyday Top Edgers set. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. We would love for you to join us this week! For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. Don't forget to link your creation by 8 pm EST on Sunday. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Sending Smiles Card

This past week flew by! Unfortunately I had migraines three days in a row and they zapped all creative energy. I'm feeling better today, so I made this Sending Smiles Card just in time to enter the Inky Paws sketch challenge. I'll be sending this card to Wild Heart Ranch a rescue and rehabilitation group in NE Oklahoma. They have been very busy with over 500 baby animals in their care. They take in all kinds of wild animals: deer, owls, rabbits, possums, raccoons, eagles, beavers, foxes, bobcats, squirrels, etc. I really enjoy following their stories and have great admiration for their cause.

The owl on this Sending Smiles Card is from the Sending Hugs stamp set by Newton's Nook. It was colored with Copic markers and then die cut with the coordinating dies. The floral paper is from the Family Ties paper pad by Pebbles and it was matted to Dapper Denim cardstock by Stampin' Up!. Some retired Island Indigo twine was added and the focal area was adhered with dimensionals. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Newton's Birdbath Card

As usual I've waited until the last day to create my card for the Inky Paws Challenge to use Stripes. My crafting table was covered in fabric for a sewing project but I finally finished and cleaned it off. Then I totally messed it up with papercrafting supplies. Oh well! It never stays clean. What fun would a clean table provide?

This is the first time I've used the Newton's Birdbath stamp set and coordinating dies. I love my backyard birds and I love cats, so this is one of my favorite new stamp sets by Newton's Nook. Copic markers were used to color the images. The sky background was created using a brayer with tumbled glass distress ink on white cardstock. The scalloped plaid frame was die cut using frame cutting plate by Taylored Expressions and the green striped grass was punched with a Fiskars grass punch. That pretty much sums it up. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Fall Butterfly Card

Hello! This week when I saw the color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary it was obvious I had to play along. The design team inspiration is outstanding and the colors immediately intrigued me. Create with Connie and Mary is a Stampin' Up! only challenge, so all supplies on this Fall Butterfly Card are from Stampin' Up!. Everything except the patterned paper (retired Venetian Romance) is current and include: Watercolor Wings stamp set, Love & Affection stamp set (sentiment), Flourish Thinlits, gold sequins, Soft Suede & Delightful Dijon ink, Emerald Envy, Delightful Dijon and Very Vanilla cardstock.

To create this card I knew I wanted to make a Fall Butterfly using Delightful Dijon and Soft Suede. The biggest issue was the card layout. After searching through a few sketches, I decided to use one of my previous layouts in a new way, click here for previous card. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Pansy Turtle Smile Card

Hello to the month of August! At this point I'm counting down the days until Fall/Autumn, which will arrive this year on September 22nd! I don't enjoy the summer heat in Oklahoma, so I spend a lot of my summer indoors in my craft room. :) This weekend I cleaned my craft room and found several digital images that I printed and set aside to use later. Then they got covered up and forgot about. This darling Pansy Turtle by Doodle Pantry was one of them. The size of the image was perfect for the sketch I found in the archives at Sketch Saturday. The sketch was from the April 6, 2013 challenge #253. I love using circles and this sketch was a lot of fun to use. This Pansy Turtle Smile Card was created for the following challenges:
The finished size of this card is 5.25" square. All patterned papers are from the Dots & Stripes paper pads by Echo Park. The little butterflies were stamped using the Papillon Potpourri stamp set by Stampin' Up! and punched with the Bitty Butterfly punch. The sending a smile your way sentiment is from the new Love & Affection stamp set by Stampin' Up! and the final touches were some sequins and rhinestones for sparkle. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Bunny Smile Card

Hello! I hope you're having a lovely day. Yesterday the temperature here in Oklahoma reached 81 degrees! It was pretty warm for February and felt like Spring. So, last night I decided to make a Spring inspired card. It was nice to spend some time in my craft room to make this Bunny Smile Card. I used the image for this months progressive challenge at Gerda Steiner Designs. The cute little bunny is jumping rope and it just makes me smile.

To create this card I used patterned paper from the Welcome Spring paper pad by American Crafts. The image was printed and then die cut with an Avery Elle oval die which was matted to a coordinating scallop oval using Baja Breeze cardstock. Using Copic markers the bunny was colored with Warm Gray tones along with a little Flesh Pink. The flowers were stamped using the Sprinkles of Life stamp set by Stampin' Up!. Two Bitty Butterflies were punched using yellow glitter cardstock by DCWV and accented with small adhesive pearls. The sentiment is by Momenta and was stamped using black ink. That's it!

Patterned Paper Card

Hello! I have a confession.... I'm a patterned paper junkie!!! I buy way more than I'll ever use and some patterns are "too pretty" that I purposely don't use them. This weeks sketch at The Paper Players designed by LeAnne Pugliese is perfect for using scraps of patterned paper.  I've used the Family Ties patterned paper collection by Pebbles. The colors are happy and coordinate with Stampin' Up! card stock colors in Daffodil Delight, Baja Breeze, and Pear Pizzazz. To create this Patterned Paper Card I measured and cut all my pieces, stamped the flourish & sentiment and then taped the pieces together. I then adhered to Daffodil Delight card stock and stitched the layers together. I stamped and punched the Boho Blossoms and adhered with dimensionals and then added the punched Bitty Butterfly. A few pearls to finish it off and this card was done!

This afternoon I was bored... and cleaning the house was not on my agenda, so I made another version of my Patterned Paper Card. I used patterned paper from the Party Collection by Pebbles. The colors are nice, bright and perfect for summertime creations. The sentiment is from Rubbernecker Stamps and I used the Beautiful Wings Embosslits by Stampin' Up! for the butterfly. It's fun to see how different a card can look by using different colors. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
