Happy Bird Couple Card

Hello! There are some things in life that just make us happy and for me watching birds is one of them. They crack me up! I feed my backyard birds and provide them several birdbath options. Needless to say, they stick around.

When I saw the March stamp of the month set called Sunshine Birdies from Close to My Heart, I knew I had to have it! The birdies are whimsical and I really like the sentiments. I've used several images on this card and fussy-cut all of them. The patterned paper is from the Blossom collection. I colored the images (stamped onto watercolor paper) with ink pads and a blender pen. That's it!

Mother's Day Card with Lace

Happy Tuesday! It's time for a new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown and this week we want you to add lace to your project. The patterned paper on this card is one of my new favorites by Bo Bunny called Secret Garden. I paired it with Rich Razzleberry cardstock from Stampin' Up! along with the retired Brocade embossing folder for the white embossed area. The green leaves were die cut using Sour Apple Bazzill cardstock and the paper flowers and polka dot brad are from The Paper Studio. Using the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set by Stampin' Up! the Mother's Day sentiment was stamped using Blackberry Bliss ink. That sums it up. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Coffee Thanks Card

Let's talk coffee!!! It is my go to fix for caffeine and I like it dark and bold. I usually buy whole bean coffee because I love grinding coffee beans. The aroma of fresh ground beans is a wonderful part of the coffee experience. In my book coffee makes the perfect gift. It could be a bag of coffee, a gift card for coffee or anything coffee related (craft supplies included). Now I have a lovely Coffee Thanks Card just waiting for the next coffee gift received.

I made this coffee card to play along with the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. The layout is casual and I got a little grungy but I really like how it turned out. I hope you like it too. This card is also linked to the Simon Says Stamp Food and Drink challenge.

Blessed Easter Card

Good day crafty friends! I've been busy making Easter cards to send to my family. Last year I bought the Blessed Easter stamp by Stampin' Up! but never used it, so I decided to ink it up.

This Blessed Easter Card was pretty easy to make. Once the image was stamped I colored the tulips with a blender pen and stampin' pads. Then it was die cut using an Avery Elle oval set.  The patterned paper is from the retired Painted Blooms dsp by Stampin' Up!. I added the bitty butterfly from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set for a pop of yellow and accented it with three small pearls. That's it!

Quick Easter Card

Hello! The next couple of days I'll be making several Easter cards to get them in the mail on time. Life just got busy the last couple of weeks and I didn't spend much time in my craft room. I do send out several, so I'll need Quick Easter Cards like this one.

To create this card I used the layout from this weeks challenge at Sketch Saturday. The digital image from Deedee's Digis (shop closed) came pre-colored, which saved some time. The image was die cut with a rectangle stitched die from Lil' Inkers and matted to a slightly larger piece of purple cardstock. Using the Papillon Potpourri stamp set from Stampin' Up! the butterflies were stamped onto Crushed Curry cardstock, punched with the Bitty Butterfly punch and accented with Basic Pearls. The Happy Easter sentiment was stamped using the Crazy About You stamp set by Stampin' Up! and punched using a 1 1/4" circle punch and then matted to a slightly larger pink scalloped circle. All patterned paper is from DCWV, the Girl Fille paper stack. Before adhering the patterned paper panel, some twine was wrapped around three times and secured to the back with tape. The card was assembled and that's it!

Enjoy Your Day with Coffee!

Happy Friday! The Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop has begun and many of my crafting friends are joining in on the fun. This is my first time to play along, I don't know why.... because I don't start my day without coffee.

The image on this card is from one of the challenge sponsors, Jessica Lynn Originals. I think the owl is darling holding it's giant coffee cup. The image was colored with Copic markers and die cut using a stitched circle die from My Favorite Things. All patterned papers are from the Happy Day paper pad by Pebbles. Lucky to be Irish Card

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I have a quick post to share this Lucky to be Irish Card. There is a portion of my families DNA that comes from Irish descent. It's more prominent on my dad's side of the family. Because of our heritage I usually make my immediate family St. Patrick's Day cards, however this year was crazy and this was the only card I made. So, it will be next year before this card gets mailed.

Most of the supplies on this card have been in my stash for several years. Cardstock colors are Garden Green by Stampin' Up! and Sour Apple by Bazzill.  All patterned paper on this card along with the green brads are from The Paper Studio. I've used the very first stamp set I bought for this holiday and it's by Studio G. The stitched circle die is from My Favorite Things the shamrocks were colored with Copic markers.

I started this blog in March 2012 and a St. Patrick's Day card was my third post. This morning I went through the first couple of months of my old posts and it was fun to see the difference in my cards. Here is a link to my first St. Patrick's Day card. Sunshine Bunny Card

Good day! The sunshine is out, my daffodils have bloomed and the trees are getting their leaves. That must mean we are getting close to Spring.

This Sunshine Bunny Card I made today features a digital image called Carrot Bunny by Gerda Steiner Designs. The image is the freebie I received this month for playing along in her progressive challenge and it was colored using Copic markers. I used patterned paper from the Echo Park Easter collection. The sentiment is from Newton's Nook Day Dream stamp set and the sunshine stitched die and stitched square die are both from Lil' Inker Designs. To finish it off I added three pale yellow sequins and this card was done.

Circle Shaped Easter Card

Hello and happy Tuesday! Today is the start of another challenge at Tuesday Throwdown and this week we want to see your circle cards. This was my first attempt at making a circle card and when it came to adding embellishments I wasn't sure what to do. So, I added a sentiment and a butterfly and stopped. Bunny Peep Card

Hello! I hope you've had a great day! It's rained most of the day at my house which made the perfect excuse to play in my craft room. I decided to make another card using the My Kind of Peeps stamp set by Simon Says Stamp. Click here for the other card I made. This Bunny Peep Card is a little brighter but equally as cute!

All patterned paper are from the Hello Sunshine paper pad by Doodlebug Designs Inc. I used Bermuda Bay cardstock as the base layer and Bermuda Bay twine for detail. The grass was punched with a Fiskars punch. That's pretty much it!

Feminine Sympathy Card

This Feminine Sympathy Card is being sent to my grandmother. I wanted something that included a butterfly and was simple. The patterned paper from The Paper Studio was selected first and it set the feminine style of the card. Pulling colors from the paper, I used Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla cardstock by Stampin' Up!. A little white lace was added before the paper was adhered to the cardstock.  The sentiment was stamped using Soft Suede ink and then the layered butterfly by Hero Arts was stamped using Blushing Bride ink along with Soft Suede. Then the focal oval was layered onto a scalloped oval die cut using a Spellbinders die and adhered to the card with dimensionals. That's it!

Strong Tree Sympathy Card

This Strong Tree Sympathy Card is being sent to a relative who is a teenage boy. His mother, my aunt, passed away this week and I wanted to make both of her children their own cards. I have to admit this card was a challenge for me because I have no idea what teenage boys like, so to play it safe I went with the Strong Tree image from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set and the sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set both by Stampin' Up!. The layout is from a sketch by Freshly Made Sketches (FMS108) that I saved from 2013. All patterned papers are by The Paper Loft. It's simple, it's masculine and it came from the heart.  

Serene Sympathy Card

Happy Friday! I look forward to the weekends, since I spent all week by myself. Although by Monday I'm ready for the hubby to go back to work. This weekend we are expecting 70 degree weather here in Oklahoma. I'm hoping we can get a few outdoor chores done.

This week I need several sympathy cards. My Aunt passed away on Tuesday and I have several family members who I'll be sending a card. I made this Serene Sympathy Card for my Aunt's husband.

The design and colors were inspired by a card I found at Taylored Expressions (click here). The cardstock colors I used are by Stampin' Up! and they include: Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. The images were heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I used four stamps on this card: Serene Silhouettes by Stampin' Up!, Agapanthus Cluster by Stampendous!, With Sympathy set by Hero Arts (sentiment) and Bohemian Borders set by Stampin' Up!. The twine started out white but I dyed it using a Soft Suede ink refill. This card is 4.5" x 6". That's it!

Star Frame Good Job Card

To make this Star Frame Good Job Card, the star had to be larger to fit the Good Job sentiment by Stampology. So, I made a 5.25" square card. All papers are from my scrap bin and I added some pink twine from The Twinery. Three sequins and three candy dots were added for detail and this card was done. Thanks for stopping by!
