When making cards for my family I try to use images and colors I know they will like. This
Thanksgiving Card with Deer was made with my cousin and his family in mind. He is an avid deer hunter and good ol' country boy. I tried to keep this card as manly as possible. All supplies for this card are from Stampin' Up! The image is from the retired Noble Deer stamp set and I heat embossed it using Early Espresso emboss powder. I used a blender pen and stampin' pads to color in the image. The paper and ink colors used are Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sky and Whisper White. The patterned paper is from the Sweater Weather dsp and I used the woodgrain embossing folder and burlap ribbon to add texture to the card. My big regret is adding stitching to the side of the card. I should have just stitched across the top of the burlap and quit. Oh, well... I'll try not to obsess about it. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful night and pleasant tomorrow.
