Thanksgiving Oak Card

Good day! It's time to say goodbye to the month of September and I thought the best way to do that was with a Thanksgiving card. To make this Thanksgiving Oak Card I used a stamp set available at Unity Stamps called Thankful Oak. The images were stamped onto very vanilla cardstock and colored with Copic markers. A piece of bark patterned paper from the Enchanted Harvest paper pad by Bo Bunny (2015) was selected and everything adhered flat. The butterfly was fussy cut and  positioned over the sentiment and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Snow Much Card - TMS #625

Well... hello! Can you believe it's Tuesday again and the end of September? The holiday season is upon us and I can always use extra thank you cards during the holidays. This Snow Much Card was made using this weeks sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. The large snowflake was cut using my Cricut machine and the smaller snowflakes are die cuts. Everything was adhered to a piece of patterned paper from the retired Snowflake Splendor dsp by Stampin' Up!. The Thank You Snow Much sentiment is from the retired Snowflake Wishes stamp set by Stampin' Up! and that's it. We would love for you to join us this week. The design team created some very clever inspiration for you this week! Click HERE to check out their designs and all the challenge details. Halloween Pug Card

Hello! The month of October is almost here and I still have several Halloween cards to make. When I saw the sketch #679 at Sketch Saturday I knew it was perfect for a quick and easy Halloween card. So, I made this Halloween Pug Card using an image by Newton's Nook called Pug-kin along with a sentiment by Stampendous!. The plaid paper is from the I Love Halloween paper pad by Echo Park (2020). That's it, a simple and easy card. I'm also linking this card to the anything goes challenge at Crafting Happiness. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!🎃

Too Legit Card

Good day! It's been awhile since I made my hubby a card. So, I used the fun Hip Hop Bunny stamp set by Taylored Expressions and made him this Too Legit Card. When I met my hubby back in college he had a yellow boom box and we still have it on a shelf in our garage. 😃 It only made sense that I colored the boom box yellow. The background was created using Salty Ocean distress ink and a triangle toss stencil by Taylored Expressions. A polka dot banner anchors the images and a silver die cut star was added next to the sentiment. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Happy Harvest Card

Hooray... Autumn/Fall has arrived!!! I've been counting down the days to cooler weather and we had a small front come through but the warmer weather is predicted to return. So, I will be patient and wait for the next cool front to arrive. 🍂

This Happy Harvest Card features two stamp sets by Lawn Fawn. The Happy Harvest stamp set and the Let's Go Nuts stamp set (squirrel). All images were stamped with Memento black ink and colored with Copic markers. The blue sky was made using Tumbled Glass distress ink and the ink smooshing technique. A frame was die cut using a piece of Lawn Fawn patterned paper and an Avery Elle reverse pinked die. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping, although I may keep this one for myself. Well, that about sums it up. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Joy Owl Card - TMS #624

Good day! This time of year it can be hard to focus on one holiday. One day I feel like making something for Halloween, the next it's Christmas or possibly Thanksgiving. There is no method to my madness! So, this week I used the Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge to create a pair of Christmas cards. I thought the sketch was perfect for the owl image by Pink & Main. Plus, when I designed this sketch the idea of using two pieces of 6 x 6 patterned paper was on my mind. The polka dot piece was cut at 4" and the red cut at 2", that gives you the opposite pieces leftover for a second A2 size card. We would love for you to join us this week! The design team created some wonderful inspiration with a variety of occasions. For all the challenge details and to see the design teams creations click HERE. Just remember to link your creation by 8 pm EST on Sunday. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!🎄

Black Cat Halloween Card

Good day! So far I have about half the cards made for Halloween that I need to send to family and friends. I really enjoy using the Hey There Pumpkin stamp set by Unity Stamps. It's super easy to color and I like the size of the image. For this Black Cat Halloween Card I only used scrap patterned papers that were on my craft desk. It's really a simple card and I adhered everything flat for easy shipping. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!🎃

Bluebird Fall Card

Hello! I'm eagerly anticipating the arrival of fall and the cooler weather. Only a few more days to wait!🍂

While in my craft room yesterday I knocked over a stack of paper and found a inky background paper I made with distress inks a few years back. So, I decided before I lose it again that I would use it. It's layered behind a birch tree die cut using a die from Simon Says Stamp (S655). The images are from the Garden Friends stamp set by Hello Bluebird, except for the leaves they were in my stash of extras. All the images were colored with Copic markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. A hello fall sentiment (retired Stampin' Up!) was added and I inked some antique linen distress ink around the edges. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!🍂

This Bluebird Fall Card is entered into the following challenges: CCEE Stampers (Use a Mushroom), Crafty Gals Corner (Hello Fall!), Creative Knockouts (Wings and Things or Furry Friends) and Simon Says Stamp (Lots of Layers).

Glowing Spooky Card

Good day! I think Halloween cards that glow in the dark are extra fun. So, I cut out the Spooky word die with glow in the dark paper. This Glowing Spooky Card is a mini slimline design which is 3.5" x 6". The owl and the ghost images are from the retired stamp set by Newton's Nook called Boo Hoo. Using the flying bats stencil by Newton's Nook with black distress ink and gray cardstock for the background. A tombstone from the Halloween Party stamp set by Hello Bluebird was added along with some black die cut grass and that's it. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. This was a pretty easy card, so I plan on making multiples for family and friends. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!🦇

Fall Card - TMS #623

Hello! The official start to fall is only 8 days away. That makes me happy! To add another fall card to my stash, I used this weeks sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This weeks sketch is designed by Melissa Craig and I made my card a mini slimline design (3.5" x 6"). First, I picked out my paper from the Welcome Autumn paper pad by Carta Bella and then decided on the accent colors. After stamping and adhering my sentiment by Impression Obsession, I felt the card needed something else. Then I remembered these embossed leaves that have been in my stash of extras since 2016 when I made this Sympathy Card. It was time they made it onto a card and this was the perfect Fall Card for them. Some copper metallic thread was added and that's it. We would love for you to play along with the sketch this week. Spooky Card

Okay... it's not that spooky, but it's about as spooky as my cards get. Hope you're having a great day! The Inky Paws challenge is a Halloween theme and the Monday challenge at Simon Says Stamp is to use stencils and my stencils get neglected. So, I decided to use the bats stencil by Newton's Nook to make this mini slimline Spooky Card (3.5" x 6"). The ghost image is also by Newton's Nook from the Boo Hoo stamp set (retired) and the headstone is from a Hello Bluebird set called Halloween Party. Some black die cut grass and a spooky word die from Simon Says Stamp and that's it. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!🦇

Black Cat Card

Good day! I'm ready for fall to arrive because that means Halloween is soon to follow. Making cards for Halloween is one of my favorites. It must be the colors and black cats!

This Black Cat Card features an image by Unity Stamps called Hey There Pumpkin and I paired it with black cat patterned paper from the Bootiful Nights paper pad by American Crafts (2016).  Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it.

Blooming Thanks Card - TMS #622

Hello! Recently I went through my stash and realized my thank you cards were getting low. So, I made this Blooming Thanks Card using this weeks sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. The image is by Reverse Confetti and it's called Bowl of Blooms. Copic markers were used to color the image and then the coordinating dies used to cut it out. It's always fun to pick patterned papers and I liked the way the two shades of green look with the blue. We would love for you to join us this week and share how you used the sketch. The design team made a variety of inspiration and you can view their creation and find all the challenge details HERE. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

This card is entered into the following challenges: Crafting Happiness (Anything Goes) and Simon Says (Stamp It).

Second Hand Animals Card

Well... hello! Many of you know that I recently adopted an 11 year old cat from the shelter (to catch up on the story click HERE). After bringing him home it was apparent he was very sick. He spent 7 days at the veterinarian clinic and thankfully he is feeling much better. There is still some sneezing, so we can't introduce him to our other cats but with each passing day he improves. His former family surrendered him to the city shelter and the Tulsa Humane Society pulled him and placed him for adoption. To thank the Humane Society for giving him a second chance I made them this Second Hand Animals Card. The sentiment is from the Adopt Don't Shop Cats stamp set by Whimsy Stamps and the image is called Elsie and Butterflies by Wild Rose Studio. Copic markers were used to color the image and everything was adhered flat to patterned papers from the Bella paper pack by Wild Rose Studio. Thank you for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.
