Patterned Paper Card

Hello! I have a confession.... I'm a patterned paper junkie!!! I buy way more than I'll ever use and some patterns are "too pretty" that I purposely don't use them. This weeks sketch at The Paper Players designed by LeAnne Pugliese is perfect for using scraps of patterned paper.  I've used the Family Ties patterned paper collection by Pebbles. The colors are happy and coordinate with Stampin' Up! card stock colors in Daffodil Delight, Baja Breeze, and Pear Pizzazz. To create this Patterned Paper Card I measured and cut all my pieces, stamped the flourish & sentiment and then taped the pieces together. I then adhered to Daffodil Delight card stock and stitched the layers together. I stamped and punched the Boho Blossoms and adhered with dimensionals and then added the punched Bitty Butterfly. A few pearls to finish it off and this card was done!

This afternoon I was bored... and cleaning the house was not on my agenda, so I made another version of my Patterned Paper Card. I used patterned paper from the Party Collection by Pebbles. The colors are nice, bright and perfect for summertime creations. The sentiment is from Rubbernecker Stamps and I used the Beautiful Wings Embosslits by Stampin' Up! for the butterfly. It's fun to see how different a card can look by using different colors. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

  6. Absolutely beautiful cards! You definitely have an eye for matching colours/patterns and images. Stunning! I, too, am a 'keeper' of patterned papers...love them! You've inspired ideas for ways to 'showcase' my selections (and shared a couple more choices to add to my ever-expanding "must have"list).

  10. Andrea, these are wonderful! I love that you flipped the sketch on the second one. Your mix of patterns and colors on both is masterful and I love the stitching detail. I've not met anyone in this hobby who wasn't a paper hoarder! I say embrace it! LOL. Thank you for joining us at The Paper Players!

  11. Andrea, they are both gorgeous. I can't make up my mind which is my favorite. I love the first because of the softness of the color scheme and the perfectly paced butterfly. I like the second because of the color and pattern choices. So glad you joined the Paper Players this week
