Pretty Bunny Easter Cards

Hello! When I saw the Let's Be Happy stamp set by Unity Stamps I immediately feel in love with the pretty bunny. I used the stamp set to make four of my Easter cards for this year. The layouts are the same but I changed the colors and papers on each card. This post features two of the Pretty Bunny Easter Cards and you can see the other two HERE.

I really wanted to make this Pretty Bunny Easter Card using purple, but it was a challenge finding the right purple papers. I dug through a lot of patterned papers before I decided on this combination. The background paper is from a Recollections paper pad, the floral is from a freebie paper pad from a magazine and the dark plum was a scrap from my bin. The card with the pink and green color combination features papers from the new Spring Market paper pad by Carta Bella. A little yellow butterfly finished them off and that's it. Tulip Bunny Card

Good day/night depending on where you live! I have a quick post to share my latest handmade card. This Tulip Bunny Card was inspired by several current challenges including a photo inspiration challenge at Catch The Bug. I love the colors in the photo inspiration (see below) and decided to make another card with a bunny. The image is by Bugaboo and it's called Tulip Bunny. Copic markers were used to color the image and then a die cut square was used to cut the image. All the patterned papers are scraps from my craft desk and they required very little cutting. The sentiment is from a Unity Stamp Set called Let's Be Happy. Of course I had to finish it off with a little butterfly and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Easter Penguin Card

Hooray!!! All my Easter cards are in the mail on their way to family and friends. I still have a few more cards to share like this Easter Penguin Card I sent to a cousin in Texas. The cute Penguin Easter Bunny image is a digital stamp and you can find it HERE. I made another card using this image and you can find it HERE.

To color the image Copic markers were used. Both patterned papers are by Echo park, the floral is from the Hello Spring paper pad and the pink stripe is from the Dots & Stripes paper pad. The image was die cut with a pierced oval die and matted to a scalloped oval both by Avery Elle. Two yellow butterflies were added for detail and that's it.

Easter Blessings Card

Happy Friday! It's Spring Break here in Oklahoma and I'm having a girls weekend with my nieces and mother this weekend. It's been a really long time since we did this, so it's long overdue. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can enjoy our time together.

One of my favorite new stamps is this sweet bunny by Unity Stamps called Let's Be Happy. Copic markers were used to color the details on the bunny and then a square stitched die was used to die cut the image. When selecting the patterned papers I decided to go pastel and used Amy Tangerine Collection called Yes Please by American Crafts.  Most of my Easter cards have a butterfly, so I added a small butterfly and that's it. Using the same layout and changing the colors is one of my favorite things to do, so below is a brighter version of this Easter Blessings Card.

Dressed Bunny Easter Card

This week is going by pretty fast and I still need to make several more Easter cards. It's been a couple of years since I stamped this image that I borrowed from a friend. I knew it would make a cute card for my youngest niece. The image is really large, so I used a center focused design for this Dressed Bunny Easter Card. Copic markers were used to color the image, then it was trimmed and matted to pink cardstock. The plaid patterned is by Lawn Fawn and the yellow polka dots is by Echo Park. To finish it off I added a little yellow butterfly and a Happy Easter sentiment.

Hatching Chick Easter Card

Hello and happy Monday! This week I'm working on making my Easter Cards. I usually mail about a dozen cards and after making this Hatching Chick Easter Card I still need nine more. I usually make at least two of each design, sometimes more. The most time consuming part for me is picking papers and deciding on the design. Making duplicate cards goes much quicker!

This cute hatching chick image is by Angie's Digital Stamps and it was colored with Copic markers. It was a challenge finding the right papers for the image colors. I colored the image last year and used colors I liked without having a paper in mind. Usually when I color my images I pick the papers first and it's a lot easier that way. So, after going through every piece of patterned paper I own... this is what I decided on. The yellow polka dot is by The Paper Studio, the floral is by Recollecions (Happy Bouquet) and the purple stripe is by Echo Park. To add the embellishments I went through my stash of already stamped and punched/die cut flowers and butterflies and found these that matched well. Shamrock Kitty Card

One more St. Patrick's Day card that I'll be hand delivering to our feline veterinarian tomorrow along with some chocolates. We had our rescue kitty, little Daisy, spayed last week and she is doing really well. I wish I bounced back from surgery as fast as she did. We kept her separated from the other cats for one day but she was ready to get back to her normal routine.

This Shamrock Kitty Card features a digital image by Gerda Steiner Designs. To color the image Copic markers were used in various shades of green: G29, G46, YG67, YG11, YG06 and YG25. The kitty is colored with: YR21, E53, E50, Y23 and E95. Plaid shamrock paper by Recollections and Garden Green polka dots by Stampin' Up! worked well together along with Garden Green and Wild Wasabi cardstock. The sentiment is by SKdigis and it was punched with a retired oval punch. Three gold sequins add some sparkly detail and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Six Year Blogiversary

St. Patrick's Day Card

Good day! I'm making a couple more St. Patrick's Day Cards and then I'll have to focus all my crafting time on Easter. It's sad how slow I am at making cards! If there were a speed card making competition, I would lose.

This St. Patrick's Day Card features a darling cat digital image by Gerda Steiner. It was colored with Copic markers and then die cut with a stitched circle die by My Favorite Things. The sentiment stamp is by SKdigis and was punched with a 1 1/2" circle punch. I love the green gingham by Recollections with the black polka dots for contrast. The green banner is actually glitter paper, although you can't tell from the photo. It adds a nice sparkle to the card. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that pretty much sums it up. Garden Bunny Card

Hello crafty friends! I hope you're having a lovely day. It's been a calm and quiet one at our house today, which gave me a chance to make this Garden Bunny Card. A couple of months ago after I updated my computer it crashed. The hard drive had to be replaced but we were able to restore most of the downloads and documents and saved them to a flash drive. Well... this week the flash drive keeps telling me it needs to be formatted. All my digital images from the last six years are on that flash drive, so I'm hoping to find a way to get it restored without losing all my data. Wish me luck!

When I print digital images I usually print several of the same image to keep in my stash. This Garden Bunny image by Bugaboo Stamps was selected from my stash and colored with Copic markers. I dug through my patterned papers to find this retired tulip paper by Stampin' Up! The sentiment stamp is from a stamp set by Unity Stamps. Watercolor Wings Floral Card

Are you ready for Spring? Here in Oklahoma the trees are starting to bud and the daffodils are blooming, so we know Spring is on it's way. It will be nice to see the green leaves on the trees again, although my hubby won't be thrilled about mowing the yard. There are definitely pros and cons to every season.

Earlier this week my mom requested a couple of Thinking of You Cards to send to her friends when needed. Of course I have several in my stash, but I decided to make this Watercolor Wings Floral Card for her. I really love the floral paper by The Paper Studio and it features my favorite stamp set by Stampin' Up! called Watercolor Wings. The butterfly was stamped with Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry and Crumb Cake inks by Stampin' Up! and Memento black was used with the sentiment. A Flourish thinlit was used along with Garden Green cardstock and the cardstock mating the patterned paper is Rose Red both by Stampin' Up!. Penguin Easter Bunny Card

Happy Wednesday! Since Easter falls earlier this year I'll have to pick between making more St. Patrick's Day or Easter cards. Between the two... Easter wins! I'm still having a hard time sitting for long periods of time, the bone spurs on my hip are not fun!!! I did buy a new padded chair today, so maybe that will help.

The stamps I ordered to make my Easter cards haven't arrived yet. So, when I found this cute Penguin Easter Bunny digital image at Whimsy Stamps, I decided to make a couple of my Easter cards with it. I adore penguins and this image is really cute. The image was colored with Copic markers and then die cut with a stitched rectangle die. All patterned papers are from the Echo Park Hello Easter 6 x 6 paper pad. It seems I covered up all the yellow in the patterned paper, but I thought yellow butterfly/butterflies went okay. Which card do you like best... one butterfly or two? Hedgehog St. Patrick's Day Card

Hello! I hope you're having a fantastic day! Yesterday was my last day at my seasonal job, so now I have more time to spend crafting. For some reason my husband thinks I should spend more time cleaning, but that just doesn't sound like fun. My creative side has a real conflict with organizing!

Since green is one of my favorite colors, I really enjoy making cards for St. Patrick's Day. I don't make that many, just enough for family because it's fun to receive a card for something unexpected like St. Patrick's Day. This Hedgehog St. Patrick's Day Card features a cute image by Bugaboo Stamps called March Hedgie St. Patrick's Day. The image was die cut with a stitched circle die by My Favorite Things. Copic markers were used to color the image and all patterned papers are by The Paper Studio. The mood board at SumMore Fun helped to inspire the shades of green and gold sequins.
