Meowy Christmas Card

Good day and Merry Christmas! It's just the hubby and I at home today and since he was taking a nap, I decided to make this Meowy Christmas Card. Since I went back to work, it's been harder to find time to make cards. This year I didn't have enough handmade Christmas cards to send everyone on my list, so I sent everyone boxed cards. The few I made this year will hang out in my stash until next year.

This Meowy Christmas Card was made using the From The Cat stamp set by Graciellie Designs available at Unity Stamps. I colored the cat to look like Chester, we rescued him in October. He is such a handful!  So sweet when he is sleeping, but a crazy cat when he is awake. The patterned papers are from the Let It Snow paper pad by Doodlebug Designs (2021). Three layered snowflakes were added for detail and that's it. So glad you stopped by and I wish you a very Merry Christmas!🎅

Christmas Card with Santa

Hello! At the beginning of this year I planned on making two handmade Christmas Cards each month. Well, that didn't happen. I didn't even make one Christmas Card a month. Needless to say... not everyone on my card list is getting a handmade card this year. Thankfully, I purchased the Ho Ho Ho Paper Pumpkin kit in October and this Christmas Card with Santa is a modified design from the kit. I added the strip of gingham paper and used a piece of retired Baked Brown Sugar cardstock behind the die cut background. Everything else is from the kit. As always, I adhered everything flat for easy shipping and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!🎅

Birthday Card with Horse

Good day! It's been awhile since I've posted one of my handmade cards. Life is just busy right now. Our 12 year old senior cat that we rescued last year got Pancreatitis, so I have been busy making sure he is eating and gets his medication. Through his diagnosis process we found he has a tumor next to his heart in one of his lungs. This news has me really upset! He has my heart and I want him with me as long as possible. So, if you believe in prayer, please say a healing prayer for Tommy.

This Birthday Card with Horse was made for a co-worker who had a birthday last week. She loves horses and I love cats, so I used the Hanna The Horse stamp set by Technique Tuesday to make this card. I'm entering this card into the Critter Crazy Challenge (Anything Goes Featuring a Critter). Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Indian Corn Give Thanks Card

Hello! A couple of years ago I saw a beautiful fall card using an Indian Corn image. It took me awhile to remember what company made the image but I finally found it by Divinity Designs. The stamp set is called A-MAIZE-ING. I colored the image with Copic markers and then used the coordinating die to cut it out. A mix of patterned papers were used and some deckle dies by Hello Bluebird. A few gold sequins to finish it off and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Good day crafty friends! Again this month I'm a guest designer at the Craft Rocket Challenge and the theme is Christmas/Winter. We would love for you to join the challenge and share one of your creations. The challenge runs until November 27th at 12 pm (UK time).🎄

To create my card I used an image by Pink & Main from the Homespun Christmas stamp set. It was colored with Copic markers and then die cut with the coordinating die. Then it was layered on top of patterned paper layers that were die cut with the Frames and Flags die set by Newton's Nook. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Pet Sympathy Cards

Hello! Last month I started a part time job, so my crafting time is more limited than usual. It had been three years since my last job, and I didn't realize how difficult the transition would be. My cats aren't sure what has happened, but thankfully they are only home one day by themselves.

Recently, I needed a cat sympathy card for a friend who suddenly lost one of her cats. I did a image search and found a card on Pinterest that inspired these designs. It was sad, but two weeks after I made the cat card one of my hubby's coworkers had a dog pass away. So, I made a dog sympathy card using the same design. I used different cloud paper, because I couldn't decide which one I liked better. The cat and dog silhouettes were made using punches by Stampin' Up! and the cloud borders were cut with a Lawn Fawn die. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Pumpkin Night Halloween Card

Happy Monday! Each day we get closer to Halloween and I still need to make a few cards. So, for this Pumpkin Night Halloween Card I used an image by Stampendous! and colored it with Copic markers. The papers are from an older Pebbles paper pad called Trick or Treat (2016). Some glossy accents were added to the eyes and the sentiment is from a retired Stampin' Up! set called Spooky Treats. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!🎃

Taking Care of Me Card

Hello! Two weeks ago today we rescued an older kitten that was crying in our neighborhood. He was super hungry, but very affectionate. It seems he was probably dumped. We have other cats in the house, so the first night my hubby slept in his car with the him. We tried finding a rescue that would take him, but they were all full. So, we are keeping him. There must be a reason he ended up by our house. I've always said, "if you wait long enough a cat will find you".❤

This Taking Care of Me Card was made for the veterinary hospital who took care of him. The image is called Cat's Meow by Unity Stamps and was colored with Copic markers. I think it turned out pretty cute. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Autumn/Halloween at Craft Rocket

Good day! I'm happy to be a guest designer at the Craft Rocket Challenge for October and November. This month the challenge is Autumn/Halloween creations. For my card I've used the Hey There Pumpkin stamp set by Unity Stamps. This image is super easy to color and features a black cat, which I love. Some fun Halloween papers from the Echo Park were used and a sentiment from a retired Stampin' Up! set called Spooky Sweets. Everything was adhered flat and that's it! So glad you stopped by and I hope you will play along with the Craft Rocket Autumn/Halloween challenge this month.🎃

Spooktacular Halloween Card

Hello! The month of Halloween has arrived and I enjoy making Halloween cards for family and friends. This Spooktacular Halloween Card was inspired by a couple of challenge. The photo at Inspiration Station has a girl trick-or-treating with a green pumpkin pail and there are bats on the house. The photo at Two Old Bats inspired me to use the spider web oval stamp by Newton's Nook. Most of the supplies used on this card are by Newton's Nook. The image is called Halloween Pile and it was colored with Copic markers. The Oval Frame Dies were used and the patterned paper is from the Halloween Meows paper pad. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. So glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day! 🎃

A little brown gingham is peeking out from behind the image and layered onto a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock by Stampin' Up!. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. Leaf Fall Greetings Card

Hooray... It's officially Fall!!! Now, I just need the cooler weather to arrive. It will still be about a month before the leaves turn colors here in Oklahoma. We have two maple trees in our yard. One tree turns a reddish orange and the other turns yellow. So, for this Leaf Fall Greetings Card I used the ink smooshing technique using distress inks: Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade and Aged Mahogany. The image is from Unity Stamps called Thankful Leaf by Graciellie Designs. The scallops & rectangles nesting dies by Unity Stamps was also used. To finish it off a sentiment from the Bountiful Fall stamp set by Unity Stamps was added. The papers are from the Fall Forest Mat Stack by DCWV (2019). Everything was adhered flat and that's it. So glad you stopped by and I wish you a happy and blessed Fall!🍁

Newton's Crate Fall Card

Hello! There are only a couple of days left until the arrival of Fall. I usually make a few cards to mark the changing of the seasons. To make this Newton's Crate Fall Card I used the challenges colors at Inky Paws to use: Orange, Green, Black and Cream. The images and sentiment are from a new stamp by Newton's Nook called Newton's Crate. Copic markers were used to color the images. I tried to color the cat to look like my youngest, she is a muted Torti (photo below). She is mainly black with one orange paw, a spot on her head and then she looks like she has subtle orange highlights. She is a sweet and beautiful girl! Anyway, back to the card... I found a linen looking paper and I stamped the edges with a stamp from the Stitchery stamp set by Stampin' Up!. Then I used some Frayed Burlap distress ink around the edges. A piece of black gingham and leaf print paper were used to anchor the image. Five die cut leaves add some detail and everything was adhered flat. That's it! So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.🍁

Boo Ghosts Halloween Card

Good day! My hubby is working today, so I'm playing in my craft room. I decided to make a Halloween card to play along with the Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge. It's just a simple card featuring a Boo Ghosts image by Pink & Main, from the Hello Bootiful stamp set. These ghosts just make me smile, they are definitely too cute to spook. Some striped and polka dot papers were selected and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. To finish it off I added five sequins for some sparkle and that's it. So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.👻

Later in the afternoon I decided to make another card with the same image. This time I used the scallops & Rectangles nesting dies by Unity Stamps. A bolder striped paper was used along with the same polka dot paper. Just a few changes, but I like how it turned out.👻

Fall Blessings Card

Hello! Each day we get closer to the arrival of Fall and that makes me happy. I keep waiting for the weather forecast to show a good cold front, but that hasn't happened. So, I'll keep waiting!🍁

This Fall Blessings Card uses a new stamp set I bought from Taylored Expressions called Autumn Blessings. The sentiment was already stamped and had been hanging out on my craft desk since last year, so I used it. It's by Impressions Obsession. The patterned papers are from the Welcome Autumn paper pad by Echo Park (2021) and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. Well, that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Good day! Is anyone else counting down the days until Fall/Autumn arrives? It's my favorite time of year and after the super hot Summer I'm ready for the cooler weather. In anticipation of Fall, I made this Fall Card with Cat. It features a stamped image by Newton's Nook called Paw-tumn Newton and it was colored with Copic markers. I love using gingham paper, especially in Fall. The design is super simple and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. So glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day.🌻

Sunflower Thanks Card

Hello! To celebrate the end to the month of August, I made this Sunflower Thanks Card. There are lots of wild sunflowers growing alongside the roads where I live. I love seeing them and they are a wonderful food source for the wild birds. It's nice when nature is beautiful and beneficial.🌻

The Sunflower image is by Newton's Nook and it was colored with Copic markers. Once it was colored it was die cut with the coordinating die. The word thanks was die cut using a die by Momenta. All patterned papers were scraps around my desk. Everything was adhered flat and a few iridescent blue sequins added for some sparkle. I'm entering my Sunflower Thanks Card in the Anything Goes challenge at Simon Says. So glad you stopped by!

Halloween Card with Cat

Hello! First, let me say... I love making Halloween cards! There have been some wonderful new Halloween products released the last couple of weeks. That inspired me to use a new stamp set I bought last year, but never used. It's called Trick or Treat Kittens by Newton's Nook.  The image was colored with Copic markers and then die cut with the coordinating die. The layout for this Halloween Card with Cat is from the Inky Paws sketch challenge. Some patterned papers from the Bootiful Nights paper pad by American Crafts (2016) were used and a piece of white glitter tape was adhered. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it! So glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day!🎃

Wildflower Congratulations Card

Good day! Most of the cards I make are made with a person or specific occasion in mind. This Wildflower Congratulations Card was made for my neighbors. They won the yard of the month that our neighborhood sponsors through the summer months. Our neighbor loves to work in his yard, even when it's crazy hot outside. So, I wanted to recognize his efforts with a handmade card.

The stamp set used on this card is called Wildflower Path by Stampin' Up!. This was the first time I've used it and I'm pretty happy with how the stamping turned out. The colors used include: Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody, Grapefruit Grove, Garden Green and Orchid Oasis. Some Tumbled Glass distress ink was added to the background for some color. The sentiment is from a retired stamp set called Home Life (Stampin' Up!) and the layers were cut with a Scalloped & Rectangles nesting dies by Unity Stamps. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. So glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Snarky Cat Card

Happy International Cat Day! These days always sneak up on me, I wish they were printed on my calendar. After reading a few posts this morning, I decided to make this Snarky Cat Card to mark the day. We share our home with cats and I do adore each of them. There have been times that if they could roll their eyes at me, they would have. 😸

The hardest part making this card was deciding which papers to use. I finally settled on neutral tones and then added an embossed blue strip for a pop of color. The cat image and sentiment are from the Snarky Cat stamp set by Stampers Anonymous/Tim Holtz Collection. A few blue sequins were added and that's it. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

Hummingbird Card

Hello and thanks for stopping by my blog. Today I'm sharing this Hummingbird Card that I made using the colors from the Inky Paws challenge. The colors are: Black, Pink, Green and Gray. To create this card I used three different stamp sets, but the main images are from the Hummingbird stamp set by Newton's Nook. All images were colored with Copic markers and then die cut with the coordinating dies. I ended up using very little black, the images are stamped with black Memento ink. The only coloring with black is the little snail in the bottom corner. Some light gray splatters were stamped in the background and then everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. That's it! Wishing you a wonderful day!  🌸

Dragonfly Thank You Card

Good day! It's a nice sunny day here in Oklahoma. As I sit by my front window I can watch the dragonflies land on my bushes and wait for their prey. I have several different types of dragonflies, some large and some smaller. So, I decided to get out the Dragonfly Garden stamp set and make a Thank You Card. This stamp set has been in my stash at least two years and hasn't seen the stamping action it deserves. Everything used on this card is by Stampin' Up!. The patterned paper is from the retired Dandy Garden dsp and the splatter stamp is from the retired Timeless Textures stamp set. Current supplies include the Dragonfly Garden stamp set and ink colors in Pool Party and markers in So Saffron and Mango Melody. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

It was colored with Copic markers and then fussy-cut. The papers are also retired by Stampin' Up! from the Garden Impressions dsp. Lastly, the Thank You sentiment was stamped and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. That's it and thanks for stopping by!🦋

Card for Veterinarian

Hello! Last year we rescued an 11 year cat from the shelter and he ended up being pretty sick. Our veterinarians were key to his recovery. We took him yesterday for his one year check up and he is in great health. I made this card for our veterinarians to thank them for saving his life. I also gave them a candy jar full of Life Savers, it seemed appropriate. 😊

The image is called Elsie and Butterflies from Wild Rose Studio and was colored with Copic markers. Three different patterned papers were used. The butterfly paper is from the Paige Evans Go the Scenic Route paper pad from American Crafts and the polka dot papers were from my scrap bin. A sentiment from the Adopt Don't Shop stamp set from Whimsy Stamps was added and that's it. Thanks for stopping by!

Life Stinks Card

Well... life doesn't stink all the time, but we all have those days. The new card kit by Stampin' Up! called The Best Remedy Kit is perfect for last minute feel better/encouragement type cards. I don't buy a lot of kits because I like creating my own designs. But, it's nice to have a few on hand for unexpected occasions. For this Life Stinks Card I altered the layout given in the directions. The only thing stamped on this card is the sentiment. The image came colored, so all I really had to do is adhere everything together. Simple and quick. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!
