On My Mind Card with Bear

Hello! This evening I made this On My Mind Card with Bear to send to a friend who lost her mother a couple of months ago. I sent a sympathy card but I think it's important to reach out again after all the shock has worn off and the true grieving starts.

This card was made using the December 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit called Beary Comforting. The layout was created using parts of the kit and adding a matting piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock. HERE is another card I made using the cute bear, it followed the kit directions. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Love & Prayers Card - TMS #590

Well... it's Tuesday again and that means the start of another sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This week we are revisiting Magreet's favorite sketch from April 28, 2020 and you can see the original post HERE. Can you tell I'm longing for Spring flowers? It's been gloomy for a few days, so I wanted to create something with color. The sketch was designed by Melissa Craig and the design team created some wonderful inspiration. We would love for you to join us this week! Click HERE for all the challenge details and design team inspiration. The deadline to link your creation is 8 pm EST on Sunday. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Purple Flower Card

Hello and happy Friday! While recently cleaning my crafty space I got distracted with a stencil. It was found between some patterned papers which wasn't where it belonged. Earlier I had found this purple flower and it was already colored just waiting to be used. So, I made a quick background and created this Purple Flower Card. The flower is from a retired stamp set by Stampin' Up! called You've Got This and it was colored with Copic markers. A thinking of you sentiment and a blue butterfly from my stash were added and this card came together quickly. This Purple Flower Card is entered in the Simon Says Wednesday challenge to Make Your Own Background and Anything Goes challenge at Word Art Wednesday. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Sending Happy Card

Good day! If you're a fan of Stampin' Up! then you probably know right now is the annual SALE-a-bration promotion. There is always wonderful free products with each $50 purchase. The paper on this Sending Happy Card is from one of the free dsp selections called Paper Blooms. It is designed to coordinate with the Pretty Perennials stamp set which I've used for the flower and sentiment. The yellow flower is certainly happy and it was adhered flat for easy shipping. That's it! A simple card that's easy to make. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Tall Heart Card - TMS #589

Hello! It's time to revisit another sketch from 2020 at Tuesday Morning Sketches and this week Debi picked one I designed. It was originally posted on March 10, 2020 challenge #545 and you can see that post HERE. The sketch is a tall and skinny design with simple elements, no fancy supplies needed. Feel free to make whatever size of tall and skinny card you prefer. Several years ago when I started making this size card I made them to fit into a #10 envelope, the finished size of this Tall Heart Card is 4" x 8 1/2". This was way before slimline border dies were a thing. It's a nice size to break up the routine and do something different. I would love for you to give it a try and join us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches. To view all the wonderful design team inspiration and for all the challenge details click HERE. You have until 8 pm EST on Sunday to link your creation.

This Tall Heart Card features papers from the new Cupid & Co. paper pad by Echo Park. The heart image was made using a Hero Arts stamp and the Love You die cuts were made using dies from Momenta. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Hedgie Birthday Card

Hooray for Friday! 😊 Although my hubby had his hair cut on Tuesday and Thursday he got a text from the lady who cut his hair, she tested positive for Covid. They were both wearing masks, but he is now on quarantine at home. We are praying he doesn't get it!

I made another birthday card to play along with the 11th Birthday Bash at Catch The Bug. This Hedgie Birthday Card is for day 4 which is a bingo challenge. I used the middle row across: die cut, Bugaboo image, 3 layers. The papers might look familiar... I used the boy colors on the card posted on Monday. I arranged the papers the same but changed the image shape and sentiment placement. I think it turned out pretty cute! This card is also entered into the Anything Goes challenge at Aud Sentiments. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day.

Owl Birthday Card

Happy Wednesday! I have a quick post to share this Owl Birthday Card that I made using the Birthday Bash Sketch at Catch The Bug. The image is called Cute Owl by Bugaboo Stamps and it was colored with Copic markers. Since the image has flowers I decided on floral paper from the Sunshine and Blue Skies paper pad by Simple Stories (2019) along with a blue polka dot by Bo Bunny. Everything was adhered flat and the sentiment is from a retired Stampin' Up! set called Avant-Garden. I'm also entering this card in the All About Occasions challenge at Watercooler Wednesday. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Big Hugs Card - TMS #588

Hello! These days I think we all need a big hug. So, for this weeks sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches I used the Big Hugs Circle Frame die by My Favorite Things. This weeks sketch was designed by Melissa Craig and it is Debbie's favorite pick from our 2020 sketches. You can see the original post #563 from July 14, 2020 HERE. This time around I decided to rotate the sketch. The paper selections are on the subtle side because I didn't want to detract from the frame die. The image is by Reverse Confetti from the Huggable stamp set and was colored with Copic markers. Three glimmer stickers were added to follow the sketch detail and that's it. I do hope you will join us this week. For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. Thanks for stopping by!

Mouse Birthday Card

Good day crafty friends! I'm going to let you in on a little secret... I think mice are adorable. There are no shrieks or screams when I see one and as long as they stay outside we live in peaceful harmony. 😊

This Mouse Birthday Card was made to play along at the Day One Catch The Bug 11th Birthday Bash. The theme this year is Woodland Friends, so I used the Mouse Big Balloon digi by Bugaboo. Copic markers were used to color the image and then I used a stitched rectangle die to cut it out. All patterened papers are from the Happy Birthday paper pad by Echo Park (2017). Three red stars were added for detail and the birthday sentiment stamp is from the retired Bonanza Buddies stamp set by Stampin' Up!. That's it and thanks for stopping by.

Monarchs Card - TMS #587

Hello! I hope your New Year is starting off on a positive note. If you're looking for a sketch to play along with this week, then I invite you to join us at Tuesday Morning Sketches. At the beginning of each year we revisit each design team members favorite sketch and this week is my pick. It's always hard to choose, but I love using half circles, so I selected sketch #570 by Debbie Foster as my favorite. To view the original post from September 1, 2020 click HERE. I always enjoy a look back before I start creating. My original card was fall themed, so this time I went with a spring inspired card. It's delightful when the butterflies return. Anyway... I hope you will join us. For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE

The butterfly image is from the Monarchs stamp set by Newton's Nook. It was one of my end of year purchases. It didn't take much digging to find the pretty floral paper from the Happy Day paper pad by Pebbles (2014). I'm going to try "really hard" to limit my paper purchases this year. I have enough! I may have to repeat that to myself numerous times, but I have enough. 😊 Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creation at Tuesday Morning Sketches

Happy New Year Card

It's here, a brand New Year and a new decade! This year one of my resolutions is to get my crafty stash organized. I have a bad habit of starting a new project without cleaning my desk, which just piles on the mess. I'm also going to try to use what I have and buy less. I did way too much emotional shopping last year after my brother passed away. This Happy New Year Card was made with supplies that have been in my stash for many years. The patterned paper is from the Sweet Sorbet dsp by Stampin' Up! from 2014. My very neglected Cricut machine was used to cut the star and I've had the Happy New Year stamp since 2015. I don't usually send many New Year cards, but this year I plan to send a few. This card is linked to the Celebration challenge at Dragonfly Journeys and the Anything Goes challenge at Cute Card Thursday. Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a healthy and happy 2021!
