Yoga Cat Card

Hello! Well, it's time to say goodbye to August and that makes me happy. I'm counting down the days until Fall arrives. I decided to use some lighter colors one more time before my crafting turns completely to darker tones. This Yoga Cat image by Stampendous makes a cute everyday card. Copic markers were used to color the image and I found a sketch in the archive at Sketch Saturday for the layout. Although I had a stamp that says "find your happy place," it's word placement wouldn't work with the sketch I picked, so I made this sentiment using the computer. The patterned paper has been in my stash for a very long time and it's by American Crafts. A little stamped flower that I had in my "extras" was added and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Candy Corn Trio Card

Hello! This may be the year of Candy Corn for my Halloween cards. My crafty motivation has been very low lately. It's not a time issue and I have ideas, I just don't want to do anything. So, my Halloween cards are going to be simple and easy.

This Candy Corn Trio Card was prompted by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. The Candy Corn images and sentiment are by Newton's Nook. Copic markers were used to color the images and the coordinating dies were used to cut them out. The background paper is from the Bootiful Nights paper pad by American Crafts (2016). Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. Thanks for stopping by! 🎃

Candy Corn Card - TMS #569

Good day! It seems Tuesday has arrived again and that means the start of a new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. The design for this weeks sketch is by Melissa Craig and I thought it was perfect to make this Candy Corn Card. Halloween is only two months away and with the rate I'm crafting these days it will take me two months to make my Halloween cards. So, I decided to seize the opportunity and use the cute Candy Corn stamps by Newton's Nook. 🎃

We would love for you to join us this week! For all the design team inspiration and challenge details click HERE. It's always fun to see how everyone interprets the sketch. Just remember to link your creation by 8 pm EST on Sunday. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Mountain Air Sympathy Card

Hello! My sympathy card stash has been depleted and I found myself needing one for a friend who lost his mother. One of the pictures they used for her obituary was her standing in front of a mountain from one of their vacations. So, I decided to use the Mountain Air stamp set to create this Sympathy Card.

All supplies on this card are by Stampin' Up! and the colors include: Misty Moonlight, Seaside Spray, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Soft Sky and Early Espresso. The patterned paper in the background is from the In Color 2020-2022 Designer Series Paper (6 x 6) and the sentiment is retired from the Simply Sketched stamp set. That's it! Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. Enjoy the rest of your day!

Toilet Paper Card - TMS #568

Hello again and welcome back to the start of another new sketch for Tuesday Morning Sketches weekly challenge. This weeks sketch was designed by Melissa Craig and it's a lot of fun. For my card I decided to use a new stamp set called Survived 2020 by Stampendous!. I just bought it and the toilet paper image worked perfectly with the sketch. It might be premature to say I survived the toilet paper crisis of 2020, although I'm hoping that issue is behind us (ha!).😃

We would love for you to join us this week! For all the design team inspiration and challenge details click HERE. Just remember to link your creation by 8 pm EST on Sunday. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

This Toilet Paper Card is entered into the anything goes challenge at Crafting Happiness.

50th Anniversary Card

Good day! This past weekend my Aunt and Uncle celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. It's a wonderful milestone and I made this card for the occasion. Due to Covid there was no big family celebration, so hopefully the postal service delivered their card without delay. 😊

To make this 50th Anniversary Card I used the retired Number of Years stamp set by Stampin' Up! along with the coordinating framelits. Shiny gold metallic paper was used as the base layer then a layer of foiled gold hearts paper both by The Paper Studio. I die cut a decorative heart using the retired Bloomin' Heart thinlit die before adhering and then adhered the golden embossed Happy 50th Anniversary. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. I'm entering this card into the All About Occasions challenge at Watercooler Wednesday. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Simple Things Card - TMS #567

Can it really be Tuesday again? I hope you're doing well and ready to get creative with our new sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This weeks sketch was designed by me and I would love for you to play along. The design team did a fantastic job and you can find their inspiration and all the challenge details HERE. You have until Sunday at 8 pm EST to link your creation. I hope to see your work in the gallery!

When I started my card I knew I wanted to use the Time to Enjoy sentiment stamp by Hero Arts for the focal area. All I had to do was pick some pretty papers and assemble this Simple Things Card. The floral paper is from the Bloom Street paper pad by Pink Paislee and the Tiny Check is by My Favorite Things. For the three dots I punched tiny purple butterflies and adhered them to 1/2" white circles. That's it, a simple and easy card. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Otterly Amazing Card

Good day crafty friends! A local wildlife rescue in my area is raising an orphaned baby otter, so I had to make them a card to send with my donation. The daily cost is $80 a day to supply fresh fish to the little guy. His name is Emmett and he is a cutie. I adore otters and I've enjoyed the photos and videos they share on their Facebook page.

To make this Otterly Amazing Card I used the Otter Friends stamp set by Hello Bluebird. The images were colored with Copic markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. I made an inky background using Distress Oxide Inks in Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch. The design was kept simple and everything adhered flat onto a piece of speckled paper by Lawn Fawn. I'm not going to write anything inside that way if they want to send the card to someone else they can. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day. 😊

Butterfly Card - TMS #566

Hello! It's Tuesday again and the start of a new sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This weeks sketch was designed by Debbie Foster and it's perfect for those larger sentiments you want to showcase. The butterfly saying used is by Stampabilites (from 2010) and it's one of the first stamps I bought when I started making cards. One of my favorite things about summer is seeing all the pretty butterflies fluttering among the colorful flowers. So, I decided this stamp was perfect for this weeks sketch. We would love for you to join us and share your take on the sketch. Click HERE for all the challenge details and design team inspiration. Just remember to link your creation by 8 pm EST on Sunday. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!
