Bird Thinking of You Card

Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a great week. Mine went pretty fast and that is always a good thing. My card today was made for a sketch challenge at Created With Love Challenges. I love sketch challenges, it helps take the guess work out of where to start with your card design. This Bird Thinking of You card was made combining the sketch and colours from the weekly ColourQ challenge. I also used polka dotted paper to be included in the Use Your Stuff challenge. Three is usually my limit on combining challenges, any more than that and I'm never happy with the results. I hope you will play along at Created With Love Challenges!!! This week is a triple challenge week. Make sure you check out the other two challenges:

Bird Thinking of You Card Supplies:
  • Paper: White card stock, gumball green and basic gray card stock by Stampin' Up! / tropical blue and tan card stock by The Paper Studio / and polka dot patterned paper by My Mind's Eye.
  • Stamps: Birds Galore by Inkadinkado (97625), sentiment stamp by TPC Studio (Greetings ST93416), and Language of Friendship by Stampin' Up! (122752).

Furry Friend Hello Card

Good morning! Created With Love Challenges has a Wednesday challenge full of furry cuteness. The challenge is to create a card featuring a furry friend. My Furry Friend Hello Card features a digital stamp called Theodore Flowers from Bugaboo Stamps. I colored the image with Copic markers and added small purple rhinestones in the center of each flower. To create the design I used a sketch from the Stella Says Sketch challenge from the Catch The Bug blog. Thanks for stopping by my blog and I hope you play along with the furry friends challenge.

Furry Friend Hello Card Supplies:
  • Paper: Yellow card stock, red card stock, white card stock, and patterned paper by K & Company (Confetti designer mat pad, 30-626768).
  • Stamps: Digital stamp by Bugaboo Stamps and sentiment stamp by Hero Arts (classic messages, CL414).
  • Inks & Coloring: Copic markers (colorless blender, 100, C5, E00, E15, E27, E49, R29, V09, V17, and YG61), stampin' write marker in gumball green, classic stampin' pad in early espresso, and ColorBox chalk ink in lipstick.

Great Birthday Card

It is evident that I have fallen behind on some of my favorite challenges. There are so many that it's hard to keep up. This afternoon I realized that I only had a few hours left to create a card for The Play Date Cafe's color splash challenge. Since I was pressed for time I went with my favorite glittered zebra patterned paper and created this Great Birthday Card. The splash of green is lucky limeade by Stampin' Up! and the bling is by Recollections.  Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Smallest Things Card

Good afternoon! I was sifting through the challenges on my desk and realized I needed to make a card for the CR84FN61 Color Challenge. I love color challenges and I love combining them with a sketch challenge. I found a wonderful sketch at My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge. The two challenges worked really well together to create this Smallest Things Card. Thanks for stopping by my blog and stay tuned for my MOJO Monday card.

Smallest Things Card Supplies:
  • Paper: Aqua card stock, ivory card stock, Madeline Collection patterned paper by Prima Marketing, and Vanilla Sunshine Collection patterned paper by SEI.
  • Stamps: Smallest Things by Stampabilities.
  • Ink: Classic stampin' pad in early espresso and ColorBox dye ink in sugar cookie.
  • Other Stuff: Floral embellishment by The Paper Studio and aqua colored pencil.

Stained Glass Sympathy Card

Good morning! Today is another challenge at Created With Love Challenges. The theme is to create a sympathy card with a Bible verse. For my card I used the stained glass cross digital stamp from Sweet n' Sassy stamps. I colored the image with various Copic markers and used diamond Stickles to accent the cross. For the design of the card I wanted to keep it simple. The stained glass image is beautiful and I wanted the card to have a classic look. To create the decorative edges I used a Fiskars three petal corner punch on the black patterned paper by My Minds Eye. The iridescent white ribbon helps to soften the look and I used foam squares to adhere the center image. Thanks for stopping by my blog and I hope you will play along with the challenge.

Welcome to my late night Saturday post. Do you ever find yourself looking for excuses to buy a new crafting item? Then, Friday morning I read the CAS-ual Fridays challenge is for banners and flags, and at that point I really wished I had purchased it. So what did I do? You guessed it, I went and bought it, and that's how I made the banner on this Paisley Banner Thank You Card.  I added the floral embellishment to give the card a little romantic flair. Fancy Favor by Stampin' Up!

Once a month I meet with a Stampin' Up! club and we use the Big Shot to create our projects. Recently, we created a treat bag using the Fancy Favor Bigz die. The Bordering on Romance floral image was stamped on watercolor paper and we used stampin' write markers and the blending marker to color the image. The butterfly image was stamped with Papillon Potpourri and punched with the Elegant Butterfly punch. We also used the Itty Bitty Banners and Framelits Dies and stampin' dimensionals. It turned out really pretty. We also created a small matching enclosure card and envelope using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool. Thanks for stopping by my blog and have a crafty day!

Caring Thoughts Card

Fall continues to be on my mind, it can't get here soon enough. I love the sound of crunching leaves beneath my feet. My husband laughs at me because I walk through leaf pills just to hear the crunching noise. Unfortunately, with our really hot dry summer the leaves have already started to fall here in Oklahoma. It looks like we won't have a pretty display of colorful leaves this year. The trees are turning from green to brown.

Now, onto the card that you stopped by to see. This Caring Thoughts Card was made using this weeks Freshly Made Sketch designed by Jen Mitchell. I was inspired by Allisa Chilton's Thanksgiving card that features some really pretty stamped leaves. The smaller leaves on my card were punched with a Creative Memories punch. The larger leaf was part of a package of die cuts.  Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Caring Thoughts Card Supplies:
  • Paper: Brown card stock, pumpkin card stock, yellow card stock, and patterned paper by Creative Imaginations (Samantha Walker designs).
  • Stamps: Hero Arts, CL476 With Sympathy.
  • Inks: ColorBox chalk ink in chestnut roan.
  • Other Stuff: Orchard harvest die cuts (28569) by Creative Imaginations, leaf punch by Creative Memories, brown colored pencil, and stampin' dimensionals.

Stop and Smell the Coffee Card

Oh! COFFEE..... where do I start? I could probably write a book about my love for coffee, but you came to my blog to see a card. This Stop and Smell the Coffee Card was made using a digital stamp by Bugaboo Stamps. I used the Stella Says Sketch challenge at Catch The Bug to create this card. You probably noticed that I did a little distressing, which is not something I do often, but I saw a lot of it at the CKC Convention over the weekend and thought I would give it a try. Thanks for stopping by my blog and have a crafty day!

The Smallest Things Card

It's time for another Mojo Monday sketch challenge. This smallest things card reflects my desire for fall to arrive. I love fall colors, the colors of the changing leaves and the mums in my garden. Oh, and the smell of pumpkin bread in the oven, yum! There is thirty-three days until the official start of fall but in my craft room fall has already arrived. Enjoy!

The Smallest Things Card Supplies: Ivory card stock, patterned paper by Creative Imaginations (Samantha Walker design), burnt orange dot by Bo Bunny, chocolate card stock, sentiment stamp by Verve Stamps (smallest things, VS-PJ052), classic stampin' pad in early espresso by Stampin' Up!, real estate punch by EK Success, butterfly stamp and punch by Martha Stewart Crafts, decorative border b SEI, and stampin' dimensionals.

Raven Halloween Card

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I'm super happy to post my first design team inspirational card for the Created With Love Challenges Blog. The theme this week is 3 of a Kind. My card features a digital stamp image from our sponsor Delicious Doodles. The image of three Ravens immediately inspired a Halloween card. I sponged the background with orange and purple ink and then used the same colors to accent the card.  I hope this inspires you to play along and have a crafty day!

  • Paper: Black card stock, pumpkin pie card stock, Howlstooth & Scaringbone designer series paper by Stampin' Up!, and grape crush card stock by Bazzill Basics.

Un"frog"etable Card

I'm running a little behind entering my usual challenges. I guess I'll go with the saying that it's better late than never. The theme challenge at CAS-ual Fridays: Splish Splash prompted me to create this Un"frog"etable Card. I couldn't resist using this cute frog image and sentiment from Rubbernecker Stamps. I colored the frog with stampin' write and Copic markers. For the water I sponged on two different blue colors and then went over it with tahitian colored twinkling H2O's to give the water a little shimmer. I fussy cut the frog image and adhered with dimensionals. Twinkling H2O's is a product I saw demonstrated at the CKC convention. You use it with water and a paint brush. I really like the subtle shimmer it adds. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Have a Cherry Day Card

Well, yesterday was a whirlwind of various classes at the CKC Scrapbook Convention in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This was the first time for me to attend the convention. I took several classes and did a little shopping. Here is the Have a Cherry Day Card I made during the Artful Card Creations class. We used a Hot Off the Press kit to create this card, which I never do, but it is a quick way to make multiple cards. I love the colors and the class was a lot of fun.

Cat Thinking of You Card

There are two things I obviously can't do well together and they are watch the final Olympics ceremony and make a card. Therefore, this Cat Thinking of You Card took much longer to finish than normal. I created this card for the Four Legged Friends challenge at the DYSU Challenge Blog. You're Super Card

There are many uses for this You're Super Card created for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge. The challenge is to make a square card. This card is a 5" square with a Superman emblem cut using the Cricut machine and Superman cartridge (291071). My husband was the inspiration behind this card. Triple Butterfly Card

Two of my favorite colors are included in the CR84FN color challenge. Those colors are purple and green, so of course I had to play along. I knew I wanted to use butterflies and the blue zebra patterned paper. This triple butterfly card design evolved from my first idea. I originally had the zebra paper turned horizontally but, I just didn't like it. After I played around a bit and added some twine, this is how it ended up.

Triple Butterfly Card Supplies: Very vanilla cardstock by Stampin' Up!, euphoria patterned paper by Basic Grey (eup-1248), grape crush and parakeet cardstock by Bazzill Basics, blue cardstock and blue zebra patterned paper by The Paper Studio, butterfly prints stamp set by Stampin' Up! Vintage Floral Thank You Card

Oh how I love this weeks Mojo Monday sketch!!! I used patterned paper from Graphic 45 A Ladies Diary Collection to create this Vintage Floral Thank You Card. The silhouette image was cut with the Cricut machine. It's funny as I was making this card I realized that the floral patterned paper reminded me of a shirt I made in college for one of my sewing classes.  Don't you love flashbacks from the past? I still have the shirt. My husband keeps telling me to donate it but it's hard to get rid of things I have an emotional attachment to. Oh well, back to the card, I'm super happy with the way it turned out. Thanks for stopping by my blog and have a crafty day!

Vintage Floral Thank You Card Supplies:
  • Paper: Very vanilla cardstock by Stampin' Up!, black cardstock, A Ladies Diary Collection patterned paper by Graphic 45 (Focal Point #4500505 and Garden Stroll #4500506), Little Miss Collection patterned paper by Bo Bunny (Little Miss Jaquoya #12LMQ613), and random dusty teal cardstock from my stash.
